- I played Assassin's Creed Mirage early at the Ubisoft Bordeaux Studios in France and in this video, I breakdown all the NEW Assassin's Creed Mirage Gameplay, Features, Impressions & 10 things I think you'd like to know about the game when it releases on October 5th.

In this gameplay trailer, you will continue to follow the journey of Basim, one of the most versatile and resourceful Assassins in franchise history. Some new features that can be seen in the gameplay trailer are the Assassin’s Focus, which allows Basim to mark and assassinate several targets in a row. You also will get classic Assassin tools such as throwing knives and smoke bombs. We also have a brand-new parkour ingredient, the Pole Vault. You can see Basim’s singular playstyle in action and the exciting Assassin playground that the city of Baghdad provides to our hero. Developers using their personal experiences to enrich the world was a very pleasant surprise, i love this.
Couldn't agree more with you, there's a lot of personal and emotional investment in this game having spoken to them face to face!
I absolutely love the transparency Bordeaux has had so far! They really do seem to see Mirage as a passion project, and not just one made because the execs up top told them to, but instead a game that THEY wanted to make, and so they did. Things like that happening, where people want to make a game and just do, is where we've seen so many great things come from. I'm so stoked for Mirage!
Completely agree with you mate, there's a lot of attention to detail, care and personal investment in this game!
The huge takeaway here is the AC Revelations outfit finally getting the replayability it deserves! I can't wait to run around Baghdad in this armor! Sad that we can't replay the blackbox missions without using the manual save trick though. As always Andy, I really like your videos and their content! Looking forward to the next video!

Thank you for the shoutout and glad to hear that my question put a smile on Sarah's face :) I hope we can go back to Samara at some point, and relive memories like Eivor did in Valhalla to her old home in Norway. Maybe not as a question but if we stumble on it by accident to get some good lore stories from Basim. Maybe not geographically close but it would be a nice touch. Gameplay seems smooth though, hype is building for this one!

I like both versions of old and new AC games but going back to the old is definitely great. And now I get to wear Altaïr’s robes or Ezio’s revelations armor too? Super stoked!

If missions aren't going to be conventionally replayable, I hope they add a NG+ system at some point
I hope so as well but I don't think they will tbh mate, as this is a narrative storyline and not an open world RPG in the traditional sense

What i would love to see is a Ezio Trilogy Remake. A full blown modern gen graphical upgrade and gameplay improvements and a carefully crafted style that brings that old AC feel but is also new and exciting. If that happens Ubisoft would be swimming in money.

Question, how many parry kill animations are there? from what I saw there was only one? which was the thrust through the chest.. is there more?

Considering this game aims to bring back proper social stealth, I wanted to ask about how far they are going with this.
Since of course the original games had social stealth obstacles like bards, beggars, box carriers and the like, are there any instances where similar obstacles are placed in the world to make social stealth a bit more engaging? Or does it just boil down to the crowdblending?
And in a similar vein, in those same games kills will often start investigations, where guards question nearby npcs and check blend spots. Does that same behaviour exist here to be utilised to your advantage?

What i like about this is the dev realize the limitations of engine amd found ways to over come this a great example is parkor they knew the engine doesn't allow unity like parkor so they build the environment around it for better experience really good to see
Gotta say I like your theory regarding the Djinn. I wasn't to fond of the way they dealt with the Isu-Story in recent entries, but I got to say that would be smart writing. It would give a very intimate perspective on how this kind of take-over can manifest and what the protagonist goes through. More on a subconscious level at least at first.
so no definitive answer on Opal missions, just there "wait and see" reply

Question for ACM: We know he gets possessed by Loki. Will we see more of Loki's history like we did with Odin in ACV and whether the current version is being controlled by himself, or Loki, or if they are sharing with each other in the same body?
Has the traditional controller scheme (with attacks on Square/X and Triangle/Y) been put back as an option in Mirage?
Or does it retain Valhalla's scheme with attacks on the triggers which made the game unplayable to me?

This is the first game since Unity that I pre-ordered. I was disappointed in the size of London in Valhalla since I was hoping for a more dense city. Thank you for reigniting my excitement for the next gen Assassin’s creed game I’ve been waiting for since 2018

Do you think we’ll have the option to toggle the AC1 Shing during stealth kills on/off in the audio settings? While it is a very nice callback, it does tend to get repetitive

When they make Basim’s legacy outfit in future titles it’ll be the novice robes or his Soyhalla attire. Mirage Master robes makes him look like a generic Altair’s homies
I think I just have a technical question: When there are two enemies next to each other, are you able to assassinate one after the other without getting detected (without assassin focus) or will killing the first one put you into combat with the second?

I killed 2x in quick succession without entering combat while they were patrolling
@@AndyReloads That’s reassuring to hear, I’ve had countless moments in the newer games where I wish I could dual assassinate like the old games because I get stuck in combat with the second target while killing the first.
It’s not like a chain kill or anything (like in the kenway games) right? Just one kill after the other?

I wonder if the prince of persia reboot will be connecting the series to the AC universe but still as a seperate series, for example small nods to the AC universe like the dagger of time being derived from a piece of eden but the main character and stuff not really being involved with the isu stuff, sort of like how judgment/judge eyes is part of the yakuza universe despite the characters between the series never meeting. I hope the PoP stuff in mirage isn’t just one-off fanservice. They could give a taste of PoP’s assets

Do you know if there's going to be any interaction with the outside world in this game or is it purely going to be inside the animus?
I think I heard that there will be a small plot in the beginning outside the animus but then the game is like 99% in the animus. Could be wrong.
according to what they said previously you will get a scene at the beginning with Basim getting into Animus and then probably similar scene at the end, but there's no Modern Day plot

I really had some hopes about adding some unity parkour elements but after watching some gameplay videos i am quite frankly disappointed that there is none
yeh mate, I'd describe it as an improvement from Valhalla but that's about it
i want to ask a question as well, is there a cultist menu like in odyssey and Valhalla and how many targets are there because i love that mechanic and i hope its in there, no spoilers i just want to know if it's in the game and how many targets are there
Rumored to be only 5-6 targets to kill
I honestly cant say mate, but if you look at some of the order of the ancients official art work, those are the main targets
I personally didn’t like that I prefer that to be part of the story not separate

This happens or is the pre-story to AC Valhalla mate, we play as Basim who was a big player in AC Valhalla

Andy, you are a good person, your content is great and I do believe you love this franchise.
That being said, after the BS that buggisoft has pulled, I won't believe a word they say.
By BS I mean:
-Hiding mechanics, like pay to win, after reviews are done, then, they enable them
-Broken promise of NG+ in Valhalla, after the post lauch producer promised it would be at the end of the game
-Having way more items in the helix store than in the game
-The overpriced helix store items
-Locking story with the excuse of level, just to entice is to buy their boosters
-Etc etc...
Your channel, mainly talks and is about this game and you have to defend it and work it.
Still...with the BS thst Buggisoft has done, their words mean nothing at all.
I can see them patching anything that makes the game easier, in a matter of hours, but leaving bigs and glitches for months.
