Star Wars Outlaws is the first open-world Star Wars game, will launch on August 30 on Xbox Series X|S consoles, PlayStation 5, Amazon Luna and PC through Ubisoft Connect.
Fans who subscribe to Ubisoft+ or purchase the Gold Edition or Ultimate Edition of the game can enjoy up to three days early access*, and those who preorder before August 30 will receive the "Kessel Runner Bonus Pack" which includes cosmetics for Kay’s speeder and for her ship, the Trailblazer.
Ubisoft revealed more details about cunning scoundrel Kay Vess and her companion Nix’s search for an opportunity of a lifetime. During this era, the Empire’s rule is distracted by the rebellion that won’t quit, leading to a golden age for the underworld. As a skilled thief, Kay’s antics catch the attention of Sliro, the leader of a new, foreboding criminal syndicate Zerek Besh.
After Sliro places a bounty on Kay’s head, Kay and Nix are offered their one shot at freedom - pull off one of the greatest heists of all time. Kay and Nix will need to navigate the underworld across the galaxy, building their reputation with legendary criminal organizations including the Pyke Syndicate, the Hutt Cartel, the Ashiga Clan and Crimson Dawn to earn the support they need to finish the job.
Kay and Nix will travel across the galaxy to gain the right resources and crew for the ultimate heist. In their journey, they’ll travel across distinct locations, both iconic and new: Canto Bight, Kijimi, Tatooine, Akiva, and the windswept savannah of Toshara.
Along the way, Kay will explore bustling cities and cantinas, race across sprawling outdoor landscapes on her speeder, and pilot her ship the Trailblazer through the wilds of space. When things go awry, the Trailblazer will also help them chase, evade and attack to gain the upper hand in thrilling dogfights with the Empire and other foes.

Im very very skeptic of this game, but all up to it if its actually good. The pricing of the game and it having DLC on release is soooo scummy.
If you like bad disney starwars and hate white men this is the game for you. Because that's what you're getting. I wouldn't throw my money at such an overtly racist company who has their community manager out there trashing gamers for their skin colour.
The fact death troopers can come after you if you’re a high enough threat is cool. Reminds me of the bounty hunter mechanic from AC Rogue.

Yeah it’s a fuckin ridiculous price for us here in Australia. That’s why I wanted a collector’s edition. If I’m spending 200+ on a game I’d like a collector’s edition, so weird why they haven’t announced one. I've wanted this open world game since playing star wars the phantom menace on PS1 I think I remember exploring the tiny little maps they had back then I was amazed 😂
Nowadays it's crazy we used to think them games were top notch compared to what they are now it's massive and everyone complains I don't understand be thankful I grew up with a sega and the game boy non colour 😂

I love how the game looks visually. Like what it promises and interested to see Ubisoft's version of the Star Wars world, as regardless of how folks feel about them, they are INCREDIBLE at creating interesting, layered and aesthetically pleasing worlds.
I don't really care about the quirky main character types, so I'm probably not going to care too much about the story or writing, as most games have horrible writing nowadays, but the locations are what interest me.
I am miffed about the pricing and the locked off content with all the pre-order editions, but with games that are this greedy with pre-order pricing, I always wait for a sale. If I play it a year or so later, it'll be cheaper, and have more content. No need to play it early.

This was so close to being an amazing Star Wars game to me, but it isn’t really Star Wars if you can’t have a lightsaber and the force :p and sucks that there’s no character creation haha, I would love to be a Jedi in hiding and get wanted levels and waste those imperial cops with my lightsaber and get past patrols with force mind trick “these aren’t the droids your looking for” 😆

Ik people aren’t happy w this game but I’m actually excited about it. Why is it bad?
The reasons I know as to why people are not looking forward/optimistically to this game: community manager for their X account has been found saying some fairly racist things (toward white/cis gender people), day one DLC meaning they built the jabba mission as they were making the game and cutting it from final build to upsell the bundles, price of said bundles, found that they have a good face model for vess and that they changed her face a lot for the final product (resulting in a uncanny valley vibe sometimes in the shown cut scenes), SBI's involvement, it being produced by Ubisoft and people being tired of them not delivering on their games/making incomplete games/micro transactions, and, at least for me, the scenes that were supposed to be humorous just fell flat and felt like something from a kids show/movie.
It's bad because this is Disney Starwars which has been making trash out of the franchise.
Aside from that the devs have their VERY overtly racist community manager out and about trashing white men who game.

Not sure what they mean about Valhalla being unfinishable. I had no trouble finishing the story and loved that I got 200+ hours out of it. Makes it actually worth the money. For $130 they better hope people can stretch it out past 50 hours

The Game - an Assassin's Creedized Star Wars... Bottomline- Don't Trust Ubisoft/Uplay and US Connect. Being a victim... ACO and ACV paid for games were relegated to The Twilight Cyber Cemetary. FUVM - Will not get Burned Again.
here's my thoughts I'm buying the ultimate edition and if anyone wants to come at me and say something like season pass don't belong in a single player game when a game like helldivers2 requires you to at least buy the basic 80 dollar ps plus subscription just to play the solo mode and people say nothing about it. I will pay 130 all day long for any game that doesn't require ps plus I haven't had ps plus since they raised the 59.99 price and I will never play multi-player ever.

@soldierbreed in settings solo is set to friends you have to put it on private and not invite anyone that's how you play solo it don't have an offline mode it forces you to buy ps plus which I will never do again I don't play online or with friends I play alone and unfortunately I can see why they only charged 40 bucks for the game because they knew you would have to at least spend 80 more to play it but since everybody loves the game they let the makers by with it I threw my game in the trash best 40 bucks I've spent. I just feel if people is going to call companies out they need to call helldivers2 out also or shut the hell up.

Ill just wait 6 months to a year. This game is going to be glitchy af at launch (i can feel it, not cuz if devs incompetence in making games, but from the work culture at ubisoft with really just pandering to sales and investors, as well as this being their biggest and attempt in actual different mechanics wise oppose to their usual titles). From flying, to wanted system, and driving ur bike. Not to even mention the combat system in calling ur companion out to do w.e u tell it to do. Not to mention itll be cheaper as well as give a glimpse in if its even worth playing. I hope so, looks like the closest thing from the canceled star wars bounty hunter game we are going to get.
I see so many complaining that K and the actor look nothing alike. I've told them countless times that she only did mocap, and voice acting. There was no Face mocap tech used for K and she never was suppose to look like her.

Content locked behind a pay wall on day one. Slimy pricing and monetization scheme. Combat looks repetitive and boring. Voice lines and characters are trite, boring, soft modern junk. The main character is cringe and uninteresting. This game is a hard pass for any gamer with standards.

For the cost it should be a 50 hour minimum, not to mention the 'Bonuses' hidden behind a paywall. And why does the main character look so weird? I've seen clips of the motion capture of the actress playing the title role, and you would think the technology as it is, especially for a studio as large as Ubisoft, would be accurate in how they portray the Woman doing the work rather than insulting her. Think Cal Kestis in the Jedi series. I'd say photo accurate wouldn't you? Hmmmm. Community managers have a responsibility that doesn't involve pushing political narratives, and so many games have gone by way of Disney in that regard. There's enough nonsense regarding DEI in Hollywood, and for it to infect gaming as well is highly disappointing. A medium meant for fun and escape from all the garbage people are being subjected to in their day to day lives has no place here. I was so exited and hopeful about another decent game set within the classic Star Wars universe, as we all know Disney is all but destroying the films and spinoffs via mind virus agendas, however, the more information that becomes available is showing not only that, but also ridiculously insulting price gouging for an 'open world game' that players will possibly be finishing over the course of a weekend.
