Absolutely adored everything about the art direction in the first game. The time period they set it in was brilliant in allowing them to create their own characters but have relatives of well-known characters in the world. I hope they continue to build on this with more in-depth stories and just flesh out some of the other highland areas and mini-games that were lacking. The Wizarding World is massive and I realize they were forced to draw the line somewhere in the first game, but it just makes me excited to see what they can do with a solid foundation and full studio support moving forward. Looking forward to more updates!

Something I’m hoping for in regards to Hogwarts 2 is more variety of spells such as having the patronus charm and fiendfyre and being able to possibly to have the chance to have a “customized” patronus along with more wand core options aside for the supreme 3 cores
I would prefer a year 6 dlc than a new game. They've built the ground work with a oversized map. Just add another story line and many fleshed out side quests and missing features like Quidditch.
At this point K, I'd take anything HL wise haha but jokes aside, I hear you, I think if they could finish some of the things they didn't get around to finishing before launch and then perhaps package that into "year 6" or a seperate storyline DLC, that would be epic! Something to keep us going before the next game

If I had control over Hogwarts Legacy here's what I would do. Two major expansions: Year 6 - Quidditch House Cup and Year 7 - TriWizard Tournament
Both expansions would be an add on to Hogwarts Legacy, each one bringing in a slew of new spells, and side quests that aid to the game.
Year 6 - With Black no longer being Headmaster, they re-instate the Quidditch interhouse cup. You play as your returning character. Early game you'd have a flying class where they teach you advanced flying used for Quidditch. I imagine the quidditch flying would have to be a bit snappier than normal flying since flying in Hogwarts Legacy as is, is clearly designed for long sustained flight rather than short action packed flight. They'd teach you how to play all positions, and then inform you house tryouts will be coming soon. You'd get to tryout for whatever position you wanted (naturally getting it because plot armor) Then every season you have one Major game. The rest of the time is spent learning new spells, new potions, and maybe a revamp to some of the less exciting parts of the world. They would also touch on your characters decision at the end of Year 5 (did you turn in Sebastian? did you get the good or bad ending? Etc etc) Also included would be some of the key features everyone wanted: Morality system, more mini-games, better AI for students etc etc
Year 7 - The TwiWizard Tournament is being hosted at Hogwarts! (yes, IK that according to the books the Tournament was banned in 1792 but with it being 100 years since then, AND the fact the HP series has never diverged from retconning before I think it would be okay) Your character obvi gets chosen as the Hogwarts Champion, and the entire year focuses heavily on you learning advanced spells, solving puzzles to get clues, and finally the three trials! While also following in year 6's foot steps of changing the outside world a bit, adding new animals, and potions and spells, hopefully by this point we'd have access to at the very least the most common spells that every Harry Potter fan knows. This gives us the chance to see more students from say Uagadou or even Ilvermorny. (Just using these two schools because they were both name dropped in the base game) not to mention this is the year Dumbledore goes to Hogwarts! That would be so cool to see a young Dumbledore while not over shadowing the main character
These two expansions wouldn't be anything massive, but would be a great opportunity to continue the story, and right some of the wrongs from the base game. If you've read this far and are thinking "that's so dumb, they'd never add all that in expansions, that would totally be a new game" look at Cyberpunk Phantom liberty! These expansions combined would add about as much content as Phantom Liberty did, changes included. Then it would give the devs more time to focus on the brand new sequel.
Ideally, I think a sequel would take us out of Hogwarts. Again, this is following the idea of releasing two more expansions set in Hogwarts. The main focus here would be on the Ministry of Magic! You'd be able to take a wizarding job based on the many different features showed in HL: The story would send you out around the Magical World completing whatever story they want to tell (ideally another unique story like we got in HL so I won't try and write one here) but ideally it would follow up on your use of Ancient Magic. Being a full magic now having a bigger upgrade tree for Ancient Magic would be awesome, maybe altering the terrain with the spells we saw them use in the game, or going full evil and stealing negative emotions from people and making yourself stronger but evil. The possibilities are literally endless with what story they would want to tell now that you're a full grown wizard. And imagine co-op multiplayer where you could join your friends from different departments for "raids" and stuff like that? IT would be really cool
Now, obviously my concept is FAR from perfect and would be a massive project, the game is just so good and people would LOVE all the content. And at 30 or 40 bucks per expansion they are reasonably priced, AND give the devs more budget and motivation to pump into the sequel. Maybe one day making a Wizarding World MMO? That could be cool!

With the huge success of the first one. I'd expect they'd expand the studio and make some improvements. But i wouldn't mind a DLC or 2 for the first game. It was a great game that wasn't overfilled with content in the open world, and it didn't overstay its welcome.
Completely with you on this one George, I reckon we'll pick up 2x DLCs (2024 & 2025) before the next game where they'll incorporate a live service aspect, either way, very keen for some more HL content! Hope you enjoyed the video btw dude

I think they could add a dueling section and a shared restart mode with some random quests like it's not the same every time and maybe allow two players to join a world together with split screen or online and make the game harder accordingly
A couple things Ive been thinking would be fun in the second game is, if it's the next year of Hogwarts, if there's a sidequest that you can become an animagus, and also if they included maybe doing the Triwizard Tournament? Oh also being able to cast Expecto Patronum?

Good point mate, I need to go check the T&Cs as I remember reading the small print about this. However, from memory, I think they're released from their Playstation/Sony contract regarding the exclusivity and its up to them to when distribute that to other platforms, which is why I think they're going to be putting this all together in one big update with other stuff instead of sporadic/small updates

Hogwarts legacy 2 needs to be as big as assassin's creed Odessey we need a massive open world game that has a morality system Hogwarts legacy was a good game but it was not without it's faults people want to be a dark wizard like Voldemort or a Great wizard like Dumbledore to take down that evil that is the whole ideal Wizarding World game

The honest answer is we don't know at the moment mate! But it was encouraging to know that the team COULD continue with the story and venture down some different paths, thats how the current story was setup, for sequels etc! I'd also like to continue with our characters in the 6th/7th year, lets hope it happens 🤞🏻

Would be nice to see a more grown up game for Hogwarts Legacy 2, with better and darker enemies. There is plenty of room in that world to make come up with a darker, more serious plot.

To hear it would be like Jedi fallen order is exciting but be cautious... Legacy suffered from a world that was waaay to big which made it feel very empty unless you were around hogwarts/hogsmead. Dont get me wrong the world is beautiful but it lacked meaning. I was hoping for way more stuff to do around Hogwarts and other POI's. But in reality once you finished the main quest and sebastion story, there was nothing else to do other than mundane puzzles and fetch quests. I'm kind of hoping that they don't try to make a direct sequel, but rather use the assets they've already created to make a brand new more linear and content packed experience. I'm cautiously optimistic about what they will do next, because now they fully see how much money they can make off this IP.

What I reaaaaaally liked about Legacy was the design of Hogwarts. It's intricate, full of details and love buuut for that, it seems everything else has been neglected.
For an RPG there's very little to do except to go through the map and do the ever same and boring and repetitive activities on it like some checklist.
You can't really interact with the students that much, the relationships you can form feel shallow, there's no consequences to your actions whatsoever and the only descision that has any actual form of influence on the story is in which House you wanna get sorted.
Besides that, it doesn't even really feel like you're living in Hogwarts, just running some errands in it.
The Sounddesign for the background and ambience is also incredibly lackluster. It's incredibly silent, even if there are tons of Students, you inly hear like, one conversation, if at all.
To sum it up the best I think;
It seems that for the game design itself, so map, activities, game mechanics, loot system, gameplay, Quest Design etc., they just took some Ubisoft Blueprint and put a Harry Potter filter over it.

Devs... pls pls pretty pls, I want to be able to sit down! I love to immerse myself in my common room and dorm room or sit by the black lake or in hogsmeade, everywhere, really.
I'd like to be able to interact with more furniture.

I do replay the game still, actually... I don't want a live service . I love single-player! I dont want to be in a different school.

No. Keep HL singleplayer only! U online multiplayer fans already have the multiplayer quidditch game coming. They need to keep HL singleplayer and put money and resources toward making that better. Not evrey game needs an online portion!! Just stop.🙄
I agree 100% the storyline should be the focus and it should remain single player with the majority of resources and time spent in development going to that part of the game. But it would also be great to have a co-op option to explore the world with friends if you want to 👍🏻

Don't defend WB's greedy practices. We've seen time and time again how successful their single player focused products w fair monetization has been from Arkham to SoM to HL.
Not every game needs to be a full time job. A short, concise experience holds more weight in players minds than endless content that will get abused by WB. Live service ruins great franchises.
I hope they take out the alohomora lockpicking minigame, just so sick and tired of that thing popping up every time I want to open a lock. They can have three levels to the spell without forcing us to play such a dull and repetitive minigame. Or maybe then can turn all the spells into minigames, should add a whole new level of fun to the combat.
They could include some gameplay this time.
