The US is still the leader in drone technology. If you don’t think the US is watching the Ukraine war and already built counter measures and their own small drones, you’re crazy.
What would some rere from Michigan know about this. I just called police and told them about threats I got from a psycho on a Suzuki Plate number XA016.
Sincerely. Indiana focker
my thoughts as well. the u.s. is testing them in Ukraine.
Who else has been here since before the first time Ryan reacted to this same video? Before he changed his name from GenditCommando to Ryan Forrest?
Ive been watching his videos to know this. I followed him before and I followed him when he changed his name
The U.S. Air Force is developing small drone swarms deployed by fighters. They already exist. UAVs, large-scale unmanned "loyal wingman" drones that follow fighters into combat and attack ahead of the fighter. They are basically 1/3 scale fighter aircraft that can be missile trucks or kamikaze fighters that take out threats to their manned counterpart. And they are designed to be cheap enough to be expendable.
I agree 100% Ryan! As a former US Army Medic, turned drone pilot (due to injury) and then ultimately retired, Naval projection and unmanned aerial capability have drastically increased the States' overall power projection across the world.
How did that happen?
Keep in mind that the Ford is already done and has been in the middle east for a while now
those shock trials videos were pretty impressive alright.
I had no idea how capable our Navy was until the conflicts started around the Red Sea and the Middle East, I was worried an anti ship missile was going to get through or a drone boat but the carrier strike groups have proven their effectiveness. From my understanding we were also (in concert with the UK of course) able to shoot down quite a few Ballistic missiles fired from Iran at Israel from a destroyer
And it is obsolete
I was here for the original.
Are you serious? Damn that was like 3 or 4 years ago bro. Thanks for sticking it through my friend
I remember watching that one, love when brits submit to our sheer power.
Was the first video of yours i watched. It was before you changed your name on here.
I remember those days…damn I miss em
@@RyanForrest1664 @davidwatkins So was I!
Everything you mentioned and most important is you guys as our partners. The U.S. or the British would never let the other one down! 🇺🇸🇬🇧
The Brits believe in the old addage if you can't beat them join them.
And the world knows...if you mess with Britain we Americans would be there before you know it...we already proved that in WW1 and WW2!! 🇺🇸🇬🇧
Go English speaking people.
@@matthewgooch6861 ...there are an awful lot of English speaking people on this planet. I am not sure we all like each other, though.
I did like your comment.
Without GPS you can use gyro, the stars, terrain maps, you can triangulate between signal towers, basically any clue the environment can give you or that you set up in advance.
You really need to research drones. Especially how they are used in Ukraine. And who they get them from. What people tend to leave out is how close the operators are to their target. No one can surpass the 🇺🇸 in drone tec. We can take out up to 16 targets with 1 drone and loiter for hours waiting for targets. And the operators are most likely in a different part of the world. I do however agree on old artillery shells. The biggest plus in my mind is the fact you can't jam'em .
Yeah I think he forgot about how many drones have been used in the middle east.
One thing not brought up is the amount and levels in which the military is trained. Whether it's infantry or pilots the military receives the highest levels on how to destroy the enemy.
The "MTAR" system is basically the Excalibur round used by the U.S. and U.K. (built by BAE). It uses GPS and INS (inertial navigation), so even if it loses the GPS signal, it still has a pretty good idea of where it is, and where its target is. In addition, they may be equipping newer versions of these shells with compact electro-optical, radar, and/or laser guidance systems like they've done with the GBU-53/B. Newer, cheaper, more compact sensors are resulting in almost every weapon being "smart" these days.
He mentions the Minuteman III , but doesn’t mention the Trident. The Ohio class submarine armed with the Trident is the most deadly weapon system ever invented. The US has 14 of them loaded with 20 Trident each and the Trident can carry 12 warheads each. Up to 240 warheads per submarine.
The British also have the Trident missile.
💯
And its the US supplies the Trident to the British.
He mentions the trident. You missed it.
@@ragnoxis05
Fair enough, but he simply glossed over it.
To answer your question, the (CVN -78) Gerald R. Ford is operational and (CVN-79) John F. Kennedy is scheduled to enter service next year I believe.
The Enterprise and Dorris Miller are scheduled after the John F Kennedy
8:51 that is one Strike Group! Imagine 11 Strike Groups.....

9:15 those images or small clips that has the 1 Gerald R Ford class Carrier (not nimitz) is from RIMPAC (Which is a yearly excerise with a bunch of different countries get to show off aome new tech) that isn't just the US there. But the Ford class carrier is the newest class of carriers.
The U.S.S. Gerald Ford is in service with a second due to enter service in 1224 and 2 others are under construction as we speak. The Ford class carriers are twice as powerful as the Nimitz class and have a 30 percent smaller crew.
The strike groups have a couple trident sub along for the party
My nephew was in the Royal Marines until about this time last year, he has mentioned training with the US Marines in VEGAS or some desert in America, I remember him talking about how they were doing Urban Combat / Building Clearance and how the Americans said that how the Royal Marines did it was "SEXY".
most likely 29 palms. but, on leave vegas not too far away
he probably went to 29 palms. its in the mojave i believe. i went there while stationed, im a us marine, but i cant remember the name of the desert. its the same place youre talking about though thats all im sure of
Yep, 29 stumps in the mojavi. We do about 6 weeks there then hit vegas like there’s no tomorrow hahaha

Basically, all the other ships in the fleet, when it comes down to it. Are to be sacrifice be for the Carrier. That's way they say. "If you attack a US ship you have an international incident, but, if you attack a US Carrier you have an act of war".
The combat drones spoken about here are the larger ones. The United States Army has fielded drones as small as 6 inches long and weighing 250 grams with 4k video. There are several drones that are equipped with warheads that can loiter for up to 45 minutes and have a 20 mile range that are carried by regular soldiers as backpack weapons that weigh in at 7 pounds and the warhead is capable of destroying an armored vehicle.
Yep, and we have sent them to Ukraine to be used. They are called the "Switchblade" which proved to be quite effective. Two versions actually, one for anti-personnel and one anti-armor. These drones weigh around 7.4 lbs
14:01 to be honest the Cuban missile crisis in 1962 was probably the closest to nuclear destruction we will ever be even compared to now.
Few years ago, my cousin's marine squadron was flying routine operations off of HMS Queen Elizabeth with RFA Tidespring and HNLMS Evertsen . It was his first assignment since flying the F 35b.
Artillery has been a thing in Ukraine, because neither side has much of an effective air force.
The J-20 and the Su-57 are jokes, although at least the former exists in some numbers.
SU-57 are not bad they are on par with US planes, thing is we have 50× the aircraft of equal or supierior quality.
@@tylerrobbins8311 they aren't really "stealth," though.
Which, was the whole point. And why India said, "nuh uh."
Hey Ryan, you plan on making any new videos to react to videos about the new B-21? Or any other new tech the U.S. is producing right now? Task and purpose I believe has done a couple videos on different stuff in the pipeline you might be interested in.
land mapping and star mapping without GPS and give coordinates and target image very smart no need for GPS
So was I. I dont think they said there wouldnt be any artillery, they said it has changed. Now even the shells are smart, and guide themselves to the target.
There are 11 Carrier Strike Groups in the U.S Navy
Just a heads up all the drones Ukraine are using are US and are trained to use them by the US entirely. It's like saying a kid learning to ride a bike is better than the dad teaching them 😂 also they aren't even given top of the line drones. Just one and done drones we have by the tens of thousands.
The 2 top reasons for the large multi-purpose drones (the smaller drones the US has developed has already been commented on) is, 1. Loiter time. The small attack and surveillance drones being used in the Ukraine have anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours'ish (DGI type consumer drones) of battery time vs 24+ hours of loitering. And 2. the multi-purpose itself. In the 24 hours of hanging around an area doing surveillance, it can seize on opportunities instantly rather than coordinating for other assets AND still coordinate those other assets. The downside is being bigger they are more susceptible to being observed and reacted to - hence the high altitude needs and stealth improvements.
I think you have discounted the "eyes from above" design of the US drone strategy. Think about being in combat and being able to ask for the current overhead picture of the area you would like to visit. the idea of a drone as a directed force item, while new and effective, sure is a great idea. Imagine a remote control space ray gun.
🇺🇸🇬🇧🇨🇦💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻and so many more. I’m so happy that America my country is in power because it makes the world a better place peaceful justice get rid of all evil in the world.
When the initial radar testing of the F-117 Nighthawk was done in the 1980s the aircraft was invisible to the radar at a range of 500 yards until a bird landed on it.
I like the updated breakdown of this video. Have seen a lot of other reactions to this same one, but I like how you broke down the updates to relate them to what is actually happening now.
For the detection of the stealth aircraft its one thing to spot the F22 or B2. Its quite another to get a radar lock good enough to actually shoot and hit it.
I am always amazed by my countries firer power and the secret weapons in hiding.
9:40 Yup. It's literally 4-D chess. One or more pieces are always backing up every other piece, as much as possible.
Love Ya Ryan! Best Reaction videos in the geopolitical/ Military space, no nonsense and solid insight. This video need to be remade as things as the climate truly is shifting rapidly.
Former U.S. Marine here, and I also pick apart uniforms and haircuts of military people in movies and TV.
I can sum it up in two words; ice cream.
In WWII the US was able to turn a couple of ships into floating ice cream factories pumping out 500 gallons of ice cream a day. If you don't understand the meaning of that. We were able not only to spare the money to create the damn things, we had the capability to keep them stocked with fresh dairy products ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PLANET. While our enemies couldn't supply their troops with basic food a couple hundred miles outside of their border. Battles are won with tactics and strategy. Wars are won with logistics.
As to how they guide the shells I can say that as far back as the 1080s the navy had 5in guns that fired a SALGP (Semi Active Laser Guided Projectile) Capable of getting a one shot kill on a moving tank at 25mi +. The laser for guidence could come from Marines on the ground, the ship firing, other ships as well as from aircraft.
American military = QUANTITY
BritIsh military = QUALITY
I was a USMC reject. I went to MEPS 3 times and then they medically disqualified me. I was so crushed. That was over 30 years ago.
The F-35 Lightning 2 is the latest U.S. fighter to enter service and it was designed in the late 1990's. We are still buying the latest upgrade of the F-15 Eagle. The F-15EX is now in production and is an almost completely different aircraft from the original F-15 that first flew in 1973.
The US is not a superpower, but a hyperpower...
We in the US used to be the world's only superpower, now we are the world's only hyperpower...
The term "hyperpower" emerged in the late 20th century to describe a nation or state with a dominant position characterized by an unparalleled ability to exert influence on a global scale.
No matter what I just feel the US will not be overtaken by another country when regarding military might. No matter what us spending and military tack has not slowed down by any means. And currently the US spends far more than any other country nearly 1/3 of the entire world combined on its military...
Which means unless China or Russia start popping out assets out of their butts for free they will always have to catch up to us whether financially or technologically in the long run...
Even if they were to up there spending equal to the US they would still be 20 years behind because we will not relinquish that amount of effort.
So by the time they catch up the US will be another 10 to 20 years ahead...
But then again I could be blowing smoke up my own butt...
Love the videos, keep up the great work in and outside of CZcams
No one is sitting still.
There's an approved list of commercial drones cleared for military use. Several companies have been tasked with developing safe methods of converting such drones to carry and deploy standard munitions grenades/mortars/shaped charges etc. Even development of small man portable drones that can fire a guided missile. Anti-drone measures are also in constant development.
The difference is what you see in Ukraine is in-field improvisation, what we see here is large scale development. The trick is to make sure the guys taking the notes can get them to the manufacturers before the bureaucracy intercepts. The last thing any soldier needs is a weapon system designed by politicians and lobbyists.
I've seen the f117 at an airshow in a flyby. It looked so cool all black and angular.
Watched the first video of this you did when you first released it. You are finally saying in this video what i was saying to myself in your first one. As a former member of the US Air Force i can say there are things the US Military has the world havent even thought of. The US Military prepares for the worst case scenario, for example when developing the new F-15EX they wanted to test it against the best the world has to offer statistic wise and the only thing that came close was the F22.
They aren’t saying arty and dumb bombs don’t work, they are saying for the most part we don’t use dumb, unguided systems as the regular, main attack method. As we are looking at making even our artillery guided, with booster rockets to give 155, something like a 70km range, than can guide in moving land and sea targets.
We have a Green Beret special forces too, Thats the guy you seen with the head gear.
The United States Army Special Forces, colloquially known as the "Green Berets" due to their distinctive service headgear, is the special operations branch of the United States Army.
One of the more interesting things lately for me has actually been some of the defensive capabilities. I'm not a military expert or anything by any stretch of the imagination, but as a leyperson the last I really remember hearing about missile shield technology was that it wasn't all that good or reliable. Yet in both Ukraine and now also in the waters around the Middle East, these defensive systems and the guided missile destroyers seem to be doing a phenomenal job.
1:50 Damn Right, Brother. 😎
MTAR data sheet can be found by searching for "Moving Target Artillery Round (MTAR)

9:10 our vessels only gather like that for photos. This formation not how we roll around at sea
3:00 These comparisons of cross-sectional size are cool.
But, I'm equally impressed with the fact that Anyone has radars which are capable of even finding these things in the sky. That's freaking amazing.
And yes, I'm aware that these radars can't find Qnd track our planes, but still...
How in The Hell do you find a bumblebee among all of the Other bumblebees, flies, dragonflies, beetles, locusts, birds, etc.?
That's wild.
🙂
You can bet drone warfare is a hot topic at the war collage and the pentagon. Good video Friend!
9:14 Yeah, and that 50 vessels there is just one battle group.
I'm not sure how many there currently are for active battle groups. But it changes. I know there was 4 I think 6 active battle groups, so you take that time 6.
This doesn't take into account the B-21 Raider now, the airforce I heard has already flown its gen 6th aircraft, and the new scope that can make a non-marksman a sniper. Then all the new stuff that hasn't been in development for the last 2-3 decades.
The Ukrainians are using a new GPS guided version of the 155mm artillery shell that is accurate to within 2 square meters and a range of 42 miles. There is an even longer Rachelle that is supposed to reach out to 82 miles.
Also speaking of drones, Ukraine is using drone boats with explosives to be kamikaze attackers against Russia and have been very effective.
The fact that the US is creating drones for aerial refueling is pretty amazing to me.
Don't forget without a pilot these drones can pull more complex maneuvers. Pilot is limited because of G forces
Round 2, im staying to watch.
Big fan, keep up the videos brother.💪
Yeah, I’m kind of surprised that the infantry wasn’t mentioned also but you have to have the infantry to be able to do all that so I guess it’s already complementing and showing the strength because all this has to be done by our bad ass military
Question, Did Ukraine come up with that, or did the U.S. show them that to test tactic? It wouldn't surprise me if the U.S. said "look a conflict, lets test this theory."
Yeah, we have a few Gerald R. Ford carriers. My cousin was stationed on one years ago, so this video must be pretty old.
I watch your content over and over again. I watched something about Australia developing mini drone swarms that seemed to look very devastating
The original was what brought me to your channel.
The United States Special Operations Command wears a similar beret to the Rotal Marines.
11:11 True, Brother, BUT;
The strategic positioning, moving forward, has been a push toward locating smaller, self-sufficient operating bases all over the world, so that any of them would be capable of responding appropriately to any threat in its smaller AO.
At least that's been the push from DC...Basically just fleshing out the whole Brigade Combat Team approach to flexibility.
🤓
I was a Medic in the North Carolina Army National Guard from 1981 to 1987. Don't forget the veterans in the United States would still defend the United States, Plus the armed Civilians are a reason not to mess with the United States,
they also have submarines on site also
US also has created lazer weapons to combat drones, it’s cheap and efficient while extremely effective!
21:58 That's because our 6th Generation Fighter Jets like the NGAD will have drones in the air with it flying with no human inside/or with a human side because it's optional You should definitely do a video of the USA 6the Gen NGAD and the Navy FA-XX
OTOH, the UK could be worse; it could be Canada.
when it comes to the Ford class there is a second one currently undergoing sea trials and a third Enterprise, is nearing completion.
Ukraine has also found that the US artillery shells “smart bombs” are being jammed and less then smart
They also didn't mention the lasers.
Aye Ryan, just wanna say thank you for your service and the love and respect you give our great nation, you are part of this as well. Not trying to be a dumb a$$ but what ever came of your CZcams boxing venture? I’ve been out for a hot minute!
I can’t pursue it anymore as I’m on TRT for life
@@RyanForrest1664 ok dang it wanted to see you give Jake a good one!
It's crazy how the USA has no rivals. The gap is insane.🤯
Another key aspect, USA's logistical capability is unreasonably insane.
And while they do cost a lot in comparison, systems like the Switchblade Drone (around 90k) are much more cost effective for expendable drones, as well as the US is now looking at developing Drone Carriers and Drone Swarm Vehicles that can park, aim, launch dozens of drones, and run away. The system would only use like 1 or 2 pilots two while the rest of the drones are following along.
On the huge side of drones, the new 6th Gen Fighter that the US is building also flies with Drone Wingmen so only one Human with 4-6 companion drones. This allows the drones to give up their 'lives' to protect the human piloted craft, carry bombs and missiles that when they break their stealth by opening bay doors only the drone is showing up on radar and not the host craft.
As for Artillery, I'd argue that based on US Combat Doctrine, Air Supremacy changes the power of Artillery. Ukraine is the way it is because of the lack of Ukraine's Air Power and Russia's fear of Air Defense we supplied Ukraine so they don't hold Air Supremacy either. Without control of the skies, than Towed Artillery definitely has its place to shine. The US would swarm the skies with such lethal Air Power than something like Ukraine where they have fallen back to trench warfare and Artillery wouldn't happen at scale IMHO.
Check out Mjolnir it is part of the THOR weapons. They are actual US anti drone weapons systems that use High Freq Microwaves to kill drones in entire areas. Also the Vampire series anti drone system that is in Ukraine already. But my favorite 3 systems to watch are NGAD (Next Gen Air Dominance), Loyal Wingman, and VISTA the AI controled F16 which has already had its maiden flight.....with a Congressman on board no less.
US intelligence first used small drones in recon during korean war time period. Were outfitted with nasa camera technology. Supposedly remained/kept out of the market for security reasons back then. I used to have an old 1980s collection of National Geographic where they published an article displaying some of the nasa camera technology used on the U2 spy planes from the 50s/also with satellites. The picture detail was remarkable. Could read a vehicle license plate from a U2 aircraft. Why they didnt use that advance tech on drones during the vietnam era just suprises me. OPSEC im sure. I'm sure our government has played with drone technology way,way back, but were just thinking it wasn't really necessary. Some Special ops were also using miniature drone tech in the 1990s.
theres a growing difference between an autonomous drone and a remotely piloted vehicle, and it will only continue to grow across the board. Im just waiting for the drone equivalent of the good old General Purpose... its a Jeep thing ;)
He said almost impenetrable, because we don't do answer in absolutes!!!!!!!!!!
did you know the USA used a open Russian maths equation to develop stealth before RAT paint was thought of .
Ok Ryan, we have the sentinel icbm now and the Gerald Ford carriers are out
9:11 it doesn’t even look real, and that’s ONE strike group… out of 9 that are in the water. 😁
Has he done anything on Helios laser system? $10 shot replaces multi million dollar missile for some targets.
