An Em pentatonic scale is a G major scale. The E is the relative minor to G just as A is to C etc, count down 4 notes to the minor from the root. But Major scale requires changing scale shape when changing chords. Play like Dickey Betts and you will get it. Good luck

Just when you think he is talking about the most basic topic, there is a little nugget in there that not only sneaks in knowledge I didn’t have, it opens up the flexibility of the “simple “ idea and connects concepts I haven’t put together yet. Love this guy.

Don't know why people are complaining about you "talking too much". How else are we supposed to learn if you don't explain?
These a probably the same people who think theory is for dummies which is because these things are beyond their understanding whilst they're stuck playing powerchords & old tabs & convincing themselves that "theory is for people who can't play".
On the contrary theory is for people who can play & want to learn how to play better still. Videos like this are excellent for that purpose, thanks & KEEP TALKING 😁

Don't listen to the vocal minority, talk as much as you want. Have they got 1.2 million subs? Maybe they should be the ones talking less, not you.

Listen to Miles Davis' All Blues for a related idea. He plays G7 for the first 4 bars, then goes to G Dorian for the 5th and 6th bar.

Whoever said that you talk to much is wrong. I've always enjoyed your videos for years and never once did I ever think that you talk to much. As a matter of fact, that thought never crossed my mind. Keep making videos the way you want to and if some people don't like it, then they can go take a long walk off a short bridge.
