After finding a crack in my FZ1-N's header pipes, I was lucky enough to receive a replacement set of downpipes from an impossibly generous subscriber! HUGEST of thanks to Northern Ninja Runner! You saved the day!
So here's the video of me removing the old pipes and fitting the new ones. Can you guess how many exhaust studs snapped off?....

Lucky man Andy. High five to the follower who passed them onto you. You mentioned your dad. I look forward to the day you can visit again & possibly take his new bike for a local ride. I’ve got my sons Zephyr kind of in storage whilst he’s bunkered down in Norway with his Viking shield maiden. I take it for a spin about once a month & then pretty well give all metal surfaces a spray with the old WD40 before covering it with old sheets. You’ve now given me the idea to pay a little more attention to those pipe studs. Cheers mate, hope all is well. Ups & downs here in Australia, but certainly not as dire as many countries. 👍🏍😷🇦🇺

Ouch. Sorry to hear that! TBH i was expecting the same for this adventure! I’m so happy it didn’t go that way! I didn’t put any copper slip on the studs. I imagine that they get so hot, that anything would just be burnt off pretty quickly. I could be wrong though!

@@AndyManCam Normal grease would but copper slip is designed not to melt away at high temps. 👍

Very poor video only tuned in to learn a couple of new swear words, and found a man doing a decent job of things I do hope this isn't going to be the norm 😁

I’m really sorry Phil. I’m certain that service will return to normal very soon!

Your logic is undeniable! I’ll have to always wear gloves from now on!
