I only shared a small glimpse of it because it is one of those things that is hard to film when sitting in the back of the theater and better to see in person.

That would be great if you can come back to VN and do a 2 month stint because that'll give you enough time to experience and appreciate the diversity of Vietnam's topography, climate, scenery, cultural and cuisine. Just my two cents but I'd recommend you do a South to North route instead of North to South. The North has more uniquely Vietnamese scenery and culture whereas the South part of the country less so. HCMC is more Westernized so that would be a nice "easy" intro then you end your trip in North VN with its unique and spectacular scenery. As for the mode of transportation, again just my two cents, take the train, sleeper bus and domestic flight from region to region but rent moped for the 2-4 days at each major stop to immerse yourself into the community at each city. I lived and worked for 10 years in VN, but had since moved back to the West, and I miss VN, most notably its people, culture of community, food and scenery a great deal. I miss riding mopeds and the feeling of freedom while at the same time feeling a part of that communal mass of rider. Take care and thanks for taking the time to video and post these trips.

Hanoi is a beautiful city, I hope all of Viet Nam does well out of tourism. I used to love Anthony Bourdain's epic eating and drinking sessions everywhere he went in SE Asia.......nobody was allowed to leave the table sober.
