Simone Biles has undoubtedly been the most dominant gymnast when it comes to all-around competitions since her senior debut in 2013.
The American athlete has 7-National, 5-World and 1-Olympic all-around titles under her belt, topping the most-decorated-of-all-time list.
However, she's not always unbeatable. Although it's highly uncommon, the GOAT has not finished on top of the podium a few times throughout her career.
In this video, we'll take a look at the only 3 gymnasts who have outscored Simone Biles in the all-around.

Simone's proper pacing by her coaches made her an absolute beast in this sport(except her physical advantage), not by becoming a 'junior prodigy'. The results of the gymnast in the junior years definitely shows who are the ones to watch in their transition in becoming a senior but not an accurate way to predict who will dominate once they debut. Sure, there are promising juniors that had successful careers like Grishina and Komova but those are the same ones that had a relatively short career because of peaking as a junior and also burning out.

@@tre9952 Elite gymnasts are generally shorter than the average population, yes. Simone is even shorter than most elite gymnasts. She's a full 8 inches shorter than the average American woman. If she has legs as strong as a 5' 4" person, she'll be able to propel herself higher because she has less overall mass.
Shawn Johnson was similar -- short (4' 11") with a muscular build. Her style of gymnastics was also a lot like Simone's.
It's possible to be successful as a taller gymnast, but it's less common. Those women will usually have a different build and different style of gymnastics (less powerful tumbling that they make up for elsewhere).

    - Katelyn Ohashi could’ve been a world AA champion against Simone multiple times if she had a coach like Simone’s. Her beam could’ve easily won worlds. Imagine if she upgraded the same way Simone did over the next few years. I really do think her beam (and her clean bars with upgrades) could’ve given her the edge in 2013-14 at least.

Simone is definitely *one of* the best, because the open ended difficulty scoring plays to her strengths as a dynamic gymnast, while negating her relative weakness in artistry. The current scoring system heavily favours powerful gymnasts. It also allows her to make minor mistakes (although her execution is usually very good). You must have missed the Olympic qualifying round. She made at least 3 huge errors and still qualified first. No one was really chasing Simone closely. I believe that the pressure of being the favorite for so long finally got to her. She has endorsements, mini-series, books, tv spots, interviews, is aging out of the sport, and to add icing to the pressure cake was molested by someone she trusted. The very organization she dedicated her life to, was mentally abusive, swept it under the rug, and didn't protect her. I personally think she's done quite well despite the circumstances.

The 2021 Olympic Trials doesn’t count because it’s a 2-day competition, so you can’t just randomly look at the second day’s score and say Suni “beat” Simone on the second day. You have to look at the whole picture since it’s a 2 day event.

If she finished 13th, wouldn't that mean a total of 14 gymnasts have outscored her? She "had an injury" is why she pulled out before vault. Sounds like what happened at Tokyo. She wasn't being scored like she thought she deserved and decided to quit.
