I love that’s it’s an impromptu thing too, not like the normal mentions in the vault before a review. I had to bust their balls a little bit, but I let Daniel know I thought it was pretty funny.

McKenna is one of my favs. Easy -easier, to find. The sweet under tones make it easy to sip and sit! Conversation Whiskey. You can drink it and stay engaged in the conversations! 🥃
I don't like whiskey or bourbon that much but I don't miss an episode of yours due to the fact you two have the best energy and chemistry Ive seen. Plus you have fun and it translate extremely well thru the camera. Thank you for an excellent channel.

Henry McKenna is my go-to whiskey and has been for a long time (altho I do like some George Dickel too). When I want to treat myself, I reach for Elijah Craig Small Batch, 4 Roses Single Barrel, or Angels Envy. I love it when you review a bottle for the "every man."
For a second I thought Daniel mooched all the whiskey into his glass, and thought what’s going on with the world! but then Rex ended up with the full glass at the end, reverse psychology there lol
I know this is a year old now but after watching a bunch of videos over the past month and now seeing this, this is how all the reviews should be. Goofiness level 1000, and just fun times.
Henry McKenna is my go to budget, I always have a 1.75 on my shelf. Its also my goto when contributing to deer camp lol

You guys are psychic(or vise versa) just ordered one of these for the first time about 8 hours ago since I saw it for only $11 locally. We'll see how I like it, the price is definitely right since my local market is usually rough price wise.

I got a potent fruit punch note on a single barrel pick of Buffalo Trace. It was the first BT I'd ever really had, and I was surprised to learn that's not normal for the standard BT. I think you'll know what I mean, but it smelled and tasted like purple fruit punch. So good.
have you guys thought about Rex/DanTheMan/Emma Month? ( there seemed to be a new Mooch in the mix) also Whiskey Advent Calendar 2020?
I’ve gotten many recommendations, forms of advise and overall great reviews from this channel but “Never squeeze a Slim Jim” might be the smartest thing that’s ever been said on this channel

How about nosing an empty glass. I often pick up stuff that I can’t while there’s still whisk(e)y in the glass.

I was being bashed by wine somms for stating my distaste for cali wines, for much the same reasons Daniel doesn't like about bourbon. Daniel, as a fellow somm, i got your back, 100%. The best booze is the booze you like to drink, the way you like to drink it. Stay magnificent!

If you can get past the vomit and gasoline notes there's underlying notes of caramel and vanilla and it's quiet nice lol

Hey Guys, long story short, I’m a registered nurse, and since covid broke out, I’m working 65-78 hours a week. To get through it, I treat myself to a liquor store shopping spree each paycheck, and I’m quickly building up my own whiskey vault at home. I live in Utah, and the state run liquor stores don’t have a great selection to choose from, but lately they’ve been bringing in some higher dollar whiskies. My wife and I are expecting our second child, so I’m trying to keep it to one higher dollar bottle per paycheck. I need some help choosing from the current selection: Glenfarclas 25, Highland Park 18, Oban 18 and 21, Talisker 18 and 25, and Glen Elgin 18.
If you had to pick one or two, which one would you add to your collection and why?
i'm an RN too, working lots of hours in the ER! my collection has grown too, but i'm into bourbon. if you want to buy a fantastic bottle of bourbon i recommend Woodford Reserve Batch Proof! stay healthy my friend! cheers.

My sense of taste can't typically distinguish between different brands or years of bourbon, whiskey, scotch, etc. The only thing I can differentiate is alcohol content. A 45% pappy tastes the same to me as a 45% plastic bottle of bourbon whiskey. However, I just bought a $20 1.75L bottle of this particular Henry McKenna and it's way better than the $13 1.75L plastic bottle of some cheap bourbon whiskey I bought for mixing with dr. pepper.
Do you have (a) a list of whiskey's you've reviews and (b) a list of whiskeys that you'd like to review?

bought to mix with coke and the taste is like sour hay--not to my liking. reminds me of a terrible night with jts brown. however, with a little cinnamon and angostura, it ok for me with coke (cola). paid about 40 bucks for two handles. for me, dickel #8 is pretty damn good for about 50 bucks for two handles.
My parents go through that by the handle. It's a staple in my house.
