    Hi US Navy vet and classical piano master level Russian German American veteran greetings and thank you.=! I am so glad I listened to you and upgraded to the 745, it is miles better than the 735 and worth the $1,000 bump in price. It is the perfect middle of the road digital piano, but I call it middle of the road +. It has most of the same features that the 775 and 785 have, except the back opens so it is a bit more artizan, and they might have more and bigger speakers. If you are spending that much, you might as well get a GP 795, which will be my next piano.
    What I love about the piano for about $1000 more you are getting 1- Wood instead of plastic 2- Ivory like feel instead of plastic so it sounds like a piano 3. On the keyboard, you get hammer weighted keys so it sounds and feels like a digital piano, the 735 is a digital keyboard. You get a few more perks such as ivory feel on the keyboard, 33% bigger speakers, blue tooth and built in digital metronome. This is perfect for the beginner who wants to learn because they have programmed beats. They also have an app you can download and with a cord, you can get more instruments. I want to make a recommendation.
    Spend the extra $400 and get it polished, be it ebony or white. I was going for white but it would have taken another year to send so I settled for the polished ebony. The guy at Las Vegas Pianos was very helpful. I paid $4100 but the ebony before taxes is listed at 4299. You are going to pay over $4500 after taxes and delivery but it is well worth it. Part of the beauty of buying a piano is to enjoy it when you get it. I have a $1,000,000 luxury house in Las Vegas, drive a Mercedes, have a pool, and a huge 85" TV, along with fancy furniture. The focal point of my living room is the piano, when people come to visit. Everyone goes ooh, and ahh, you will impress your neighbors. The beauty is this piano is good for someone who never played before because it has a ton of helpful features or the classical master like me who can play anything by Franz Liszt or Rachmaninoff.
    I also LOVE the CF and BOOSENDORFER sounds make it sound like a concert grand. You can also get some additional speakers to make it even louder, if you like. What I do recommend is getting some Yamaha headphones. They come with a jack so you can put it in your keyboard and not annoy your neighbors, if you want to play past 10PM.
    I love it it was worth the 1 year weight boss. My next upgrade will be the GP 795 and eventually, I will then spend $20,000 to get a C series 6 foot caustic. The ultimate goal is to get a CF $45,000-60,000. Forget about CFX those can cost $300,000 I am realistic haha.
    YOU CANNOT LOSE WITH THE 745 THIS IS A WINNER PIANO NAVY VET YOU WILL CURSE MY NAME WHEN YOU SEE THE BILL, YOU WILL PRAISE MY NAME, WHEN YOU PLAY IT. If you play this piano for 5 minutes, you will forget you are playing on a digital piano. The good digital pianos have pretty much the same quality as a good acoustic piano but at half the price. A Yamaha U5 Acoustic piano could set you back over $10,000 On a side note, I could have SWAM to Japan and back. Japan arigatou gozai mashi ta

    Sir,
    I wish to invest in a new digital piano.
    I did some research on CZcams and finalised Yamaha clavinova clp 645 which had their reputed nwx action.
    recently in August 2020 Yamaha has launched its clp 700 series and now I am also looking at clp 7:45 which has got their new action by the name grand touch s.
    I tried to search online but I could not get a comparison review between both actions and hence I am confused between clp 645 with nwx action or clp 745 with grand touch s action.
    Kindly guide me as to which one should I choose because both digital pianos are in my budget range but I want to make an informed decision and I need your guidance in that respect.
    Hoping to hear from you soon.
    Thanks and regards::

    Has anyone tried both, clp675 and clp745? I can get these two at the same price over here, so now I am a bit torn. Is the 3-way sound system in 675 a big difference to the 2-way system in 745? They both give about 200 W, but distribute the sound differently and I did not manage to find any review comparing this aspect. I only saw people complaining about 675 being "hard-action" but honestly, when I tried a couple DPs in a shop, they all seemed pretty light (no matter the brand), so I guess I am used to accoustics a bit on the hard side anyway, so I am more intrested in the overall sound quality and authenticity rather than action. Can anybody give their opinion on these models in that regard?

    • @roose468
      @roose468 Pƙed 2 lety

      @Sina Nazari @Sina Nazari I have already bought 675, because they were selling the very last one available in my country while the shops all said that nobody knows when 745 will be in stock due to covid. I must say I am happy with the instrument so far. Nowhere near as impressive sound as an acoustic, but quite good in all other respects. Considering the sound of this one, I doubt 745, a lower model even if from a newer line, would impress more, and I already have my piano for almost a year which would have not been the case with 745. But if anyone can actually compare the sound of these two, I am still curious.

    Hi , I recently tested almost all the digital pianos on the market(the ones with wooden keys), being in 15 stores in Germany to test them all. I will tell you my impressions:
    - for ~ ÂŁ2000 the best key action on the market is PHA-50 from Roland. Unfortunatelly I recently had an LX-705, and I experienced myself that the sound card of LX-series is not good. So for PHA-50 I would go with HP-704
    So, for me, top 4 is:
    - nr. 1 key action feeling is from Yamaha.
    - nr. 2 key action feeling is Roland (but unfortunatelly the sound card is with problems by LX-series)
    - nr. 3 key action feeling is Gewa (UP-380 G WK or UP-400)
    - nr. 4 key action feeling is Kawai (CA-59, CA-79, CA-99)
    - unfortunatelly the key action feeling from Hybrid Casio GP-310 is for me like Yamaha CLP-625
    Kawai is very good, but the advertising with "whole wooden key" is only good and please just try by yourself how the keys are moving from right to left (put the finger on the keys and move them from left to right), .... you will see after testing what I mean and if or how stable they are on the keyboard.
    - now I am waiting for CLP-745 or maybe CLP-775 to choose one of them.
    Regarding CLP-775, I would rather go more than 50% to buy a Yamaha U1 or U3 second hand at the same price with 775
    Have a nice day!

    Thanks for the lovely review. Is there a big difference between the quality of this piano and an upright acoustic piano? I have a problem with the weight of the acoustic piano but I need to have almost the same sense as Acoustic. which model is your suggestion? At the moment I have a Yamaha P125 digital piano.

    • @CitizenMio
      @CitizenMio Pƙed rokem +2

      Nothing can beat the sound and nuances of an acoustic piano. However, if that's not an option (which it wasn't for me either) then this CLP 745 will be a lot closer in both action and sound than your P125. There's always a better one out there ofc, but as is always the case at some point you only get marginally closer while the price keeps on doubling. It's really up to you if you feel that's worth it. But the 745 is already almost 4.5x as expensive as your current piano, so you'll absolutely notice the upgrade.
      Especially since the p125 is a slab and Clavinovas with the way they are built are more similar to acoustic pianos.
      But at this price point all of the big brand digital pianos are really impressively instruments. Again it mostly comes down to personal preference in sound and action, which you absolutely need to test yourself.
      Personally I preferred Yamaha, but your mileage may vary. In this range the 745 is also the first with (partially) wooden white keys. The 735, the model below, doesn't have that and the model higher has an even fancier action.
      Also try out the Yamaha Arius line especially the YDP 165, as it sits in between your current model and the Clavinova. It has inherited many of the previously exclusively Clavinova technologies, yet at a more modest price.
      For me the sweet spot ended up being the CLP 745, bloody expensive bit of kit for sure, but not as extremely so as the stuff above it. Plus with several hours spent in the store trying out the various models, I did notice and appreciate whatever the wooden bits did for the action of the 745 vs the 735. It made it more expressive and easier to be so.

    This is such an obvious rival to Kawai's CA79 in terms of its price-point, functionality and quality of sounds. Can you say anything though about the Yamaha's action? How does it compare to the Grand Feel III of the Kawai? I live too far away from your shops to drop-by and compare myself. Thanks.

      CLP745 starts at around ÂŁ2,150 which surely aligns it with the Kawai CA59 (ÂŁ2,300)?
      The CA79 starts at around ÂŁ2,600. I've been looking to purchase a new piano since last year and ended up waiting for these to be released. Trying to get my head around these price points. The Kawai CA49 seems to be a bit of a bargain.
      I may go in search of a previous generation Yamaha 6 series or previous gen Kawai. Thoughts?

      @@digitallabyrinth144 Hi. Thanks for the reply. I see what you mean with the pricing of a couple of their variants of the CLP745, with 2 of them at ÂŁ2,149. When I first I looked up Bonners' webpage I must have seen the pricing of 1 of the other 3 variants (white ash, rosewood, satin whit) each being ÂŁ2,419 and hence my instinctive matching of this model to the CA79. I have tried the CA79 in a store here in Scotland and the action (GF III) was superb. Perhaps Tony or one of the people at Bonners can clarify if there is indeed particular model rivalries?

    i own a CLP-745, and i would tell you that CLP-645 is much better in touching.. than the CLP-745
    CLP-745 has very light keys .. and that's too bad

    I am always surprised that so much time could be spent demoing different sounds. I do not even use any sounds from my digital piano (I use VSTs, mostly Pianoteq). I play sound from the VSTs through the speakers of my piano. I decide about the sound. Nothing about keyboard action!

      Wait, how do you use your piano's speakers to play VSTS???

      @@flpgus I use USB to transmit digital data from a VST to Digital Audio Interface of FP-90X. I switch Local Control to Off and this is all - internal amp and speakers are used. Roland Digital Piano appears as Audio Output in a VST.
