Tony…I am following what your doing with my NS488, trying to duplicate what your doing…and in the process, learning a lot more about my instrument….thank you so much. BUT…I cannot locate the orchestral percussion samples (tympani, tam, bell tree, etc. Can you help ? Is it maybe something that they’re not releasing here in the States ?

By this step, Nord is openning a new gate! Everybody knows that orchestral samples was a important weakness from Clavia's keys. Now, the partneship with Spitfire CHANGES THE GAME totally. Thousands of "nordists" now waiting soloists strings, wood sections, brass sections, cinematic bundles because Spitfire has the best samples of the world. As I said: a new gate, a new universe for Nord's keyboards. Simply amazing!!!!!

Just love this. Downloaded this already for my Stage 4. Fantastic! Would be brilliant if Bonners could share the Programs made with the Spitfire libraries. Some really inventive and fantastic soundscapes created with them. 😀

I've had digital pianos costing up to $4500.00. Every damn one has 3 or 4 keys that are too soft and also too loud. And the voicing is off with several keys. Roland has the "designer" that helps a little and Kawai has the Virtual tech that is not so good. And too time consuming to adjust key sounds. Playing chords hides the soft and the loud keys, but certain melodies lose some part with these soft or loud keys. I'm disappointed with all of them. I'll have to try an acoustic or one of the $10,000 digitals (before I buy it). I'm no pianist, but I know a soft or loud key when I hear it.

Does this have any arranger features like rhythms and accompaniments? It doesn't need to be as sophisticated as a PSR-SX900, but some basic arranger features like my DGX-650 would be nice if I bought the CK88 to replace it. Or maybe I just want a PSR-SX600 to complement my DGX!

OMG !! These samples, combined with the technique to bring out the nuances…STUNNING !! I have never heard this degree of realism before. Add the pianos, flutes, oboes, and percussion just makes it all the more realistic. Closing my eyes, it seems indistinguishable from a real orchestral section. Any chance you’ll release some of these combinations of strings/percussions/winds/etc ?

I have this exact piano. It is still amazing. Much better than anything else in its day. Real grand piano action (it's really wonderful). Great grand piano sampled sound. Amazing speaker system. Of course, it was expensive in its day, $2,600. Oh, the other sounds, are best forgotten. But to this day I love it.

In 2016, I started with a new PSR S970, and so commenced my 'self teaching' of playing as a new beginner. I would certainly now upgrade to G2 having heard this demo. I did visit the Milton Keynes store to see the original Genos and it was superior to the S970 of course! At 61, I will never be as good as you two in playing ability, but what a motivation to keep learning. Having seen a G2, I believe Yamaha may have missed a trick though, there is no 'quantize' button when creating multi pads. Is there an alternative way that's a s good as quantize?? Thank you for this demo.

Would be purchasing either a Roland Fanthom or Nord if it weren't for the stinking Economy. I can't even sell my near mint condition high-end Fender, Ibanez, and Markbass equipment. But, "nothing stays the same"... maybe next year if things turnaround drastically for the better. For now, people aren't buying AND music stores are closing their doors. Sad too that so many restaurants are closing their doors as well.

Very different! I tend to prefer the roland piano sound by far but what keeps me from wanting one more than the nord or the yamaha cp88 is the design... it's a very...uglilly old looking design...
