Find it hard to listen to Steve Clarke and his sad story he is telling , the catholic vs Protestant thing is in bedded in the heart of west of Scotland. My parents never taught me to dislike the catholic’s nor did they tell me to support rangers , no this came about in school and mates who where of the same class and religion, had the schools been mixed (catholic’s and Protestant) I truly believe this problem would not exist to the extent in which it has grown today.don’t blame the supporters or the parents blame the authorities on both sides who had 2 different religions and thought best to separate.its happening today with other religions and will manifest itself in years to come in the same vile way it’s doing today.

The root of the problem is that we gave them their own Schools. It is an apartheid system plain & simple They are taught to hate the host people,, The Protestant Scots..Look at our so called "scottish" media today.BBC Scotland pacific quay operates a sectarian employment policy. Their output is biased and sectarian. Most Scots are angry with them and have been for ages. The press are the same. Look at how they reported "sectarian chanting" when it was directed against a former Rangers player. They said NOWT, FUCK, ALL, THEY NEVER HEARD IT!!Look at Andy Waker and Ted Crocker Those two Laughed when Boyd was subject to abuse and Walker even said "he lovesit".. Why have they not been sacked??????????Steve clarke plays the victim. .., but he claims he never heard Boyd being abused!!. Its high time the guys who control Rangers took an honest stand instead of the wishy washy tripe that Robertson and
      King have come out with.

I agree. I went to Catholic school half way through my secondary education in England. I'd never heard Anti Semitic language until Catholic school That was from other kids. Calling the vending machine Jewish because it didnt give them change. etc. We should be past religious schools. in fact there should be a separation of Church and education. If we keep this up, and add Islam to the mix we're going to keep having people who don't mix until they enter the work place. and the prejudice has been ingrained by then.

When Celtic beat the 1-0 last week during the Boyd incident. Clarke dismissed it saying "He's a big boy, he can handle it".
Mmm Sounds Mr Clarke has shown his true colours. What were celtic supporters singing last week, more to the point his own supporters were singing RANGERS songs. We all know how they go. NO complaints then......... Dissapointing to say the least.

Of course not so long ago around 90 fans were killed at an Egyptian game through violence. It is common in South America, .especially Derby games for fans to riot and Police have to resort to tear gas and rubber bullets.Check out the fighting on the terraces in Italy Serbia Russia and a score of countries, that have resulted in fatalities and serious injury. I dont know what age you are but when I was young I had many matesthat supported celtic. I didnt give a fk what they sang and vice versa ,as long as there was no violence. This word "sectarianism" is a recent thing. For a start it sells papers. It also gets money for the likes of those cunts that are never done writing or talking about it nowadays.People that have no gift for journalism can get attention by mentioning "bad songs " and other nonsense. Of course its a one -way street. Rangers are "sectarian" and almost all of the comments are focused on what Rangers fans did or said, It is nauseating in the extreme. It gives middle class ponces like Graham Spiers. Stuart Cosgrove Tom English, and a variety if tim loving scribblers a reason to live and breathe.Too many people buy into it. Let the people sing.

At least Clark has raised it which took some balls... as he is going to ‘get it’ from now on in... People who say it’s acceptable /justifiable need to check themself’s.. Gerrard and Boyd and plenty on here doing that... Folk need to call it out every time they come across it, sanction it... and over time it could improve... I think..

The songs are fine, sang for 90 minutes before or after, in the stadium or in Rangers or Celtic clubs etc. But when it comes to singling out individuals for personal attack, I believe that is a line that shouldn't be crossed. What disappointed me about Stevie Clarke, was he was quite happy not to talk about the sectarianism received by Kris Boyd on Sunday, but couldn't wait to talk about it on Wednesday after the Rangers game. Now that stinks of complete and utter hypocrisy in my opinion. From these actions what he is effectively saying is, it's OK to do that to my Captain, but don't dare insult me with the same abuse. If I was Kris Boyd I would not be happy with my Manager, and I would let him know that.

@@raymondmcdonald355 You haven't seen my point (I think). Its understandable (if undesirable) to heckle Brooney, Griffiths Neil Lennon etc as they are ultra Celtic and the same goes for McCoist, Souness and Gazza etc who are/were Rangers icons. But why call Steve Clarke a fenian bastard when he has had no connection to Celtic. He had a bad day at the office and then he gets called that.
If i go to Ibrox cheering on Celtic then i have no complaint about being called a fenian.
But if i work in say a building site and had a tough day where i made a few mistakes. Then i'm called a useless fenian bastard by the boss as i am going home, (with venom) it would be much more malicious.
In summary, if (and hopefully he will be) he was Celtic manager i believe he would have no issue with being called a fenian.

Then he utters the the words. "Me being a catholic"??? CHIP & SHOULDER, comes to mind. What has Rangers FC and their signing of certain people got to do with others? Let us take the case of Young Wallace, the first coloured player to play for Rangers. Was the banana shows not biased behaviour from his and other clubs, let's be fair here? "Let he who casts the first stone.Etc, Etc, Etc. The LAD was hounded and booed at every ground in Scotland (Yes, even the Kilmarnock's ground) by the BANANA section of clubs. Did Rangers managers ever wet their breeks or go on a crusade?? No, they took it on the chin and got on with the game like MEN do. Did anyone ever see Rangers fan carrying plastic images when other clubs signed coloured players?? Where was the furore when effigies of a Rangers fan hung from the Parkhead rafters. The whitewash brush did the usual hush hush. That did not matter. We are the booting boys of Scottish football. If Rangers sign a good player he is a target for the bullies of other Scottish clubs. CLARKE is so full of SOUR GRAPES and pish. He is using this sectarianism to vent his anger, and who is his tarred brush aimed at? The supporters of Rangers FC. Kilmarnock got beat. End of story. Does he want Rangers to lie down so other managers can stop wetting themselves when they get beat. If they cannot stand to lose. Leave the game instead of stirring the shit with a big stick and crying real tears. Remember Clarke, the people you are demeaning are the same people that keeps your club and others alive. When Rangers play at his or other grounds, WHO has the the biggest amount of supporters?? Only Celtic at home games does the crowd tell a different story. In finishing I say. If it is too hot in the Kitchen CLARKE, "QUIT THE ARENA & GET OUT". Look around you, you are using Rangers support as an excuse to try and bring shame on Scottish football.

I went to a catholic school and it’s indoctrinated into you even by teachers that you will support celtic.
I was rebellious and problematic (parents split when I was 5 etc etc) so I tended to do the opposite of what was always expected of me. Turning up for football at my catholic primary in a rangers top...xmas everyone is into playing soldiers and get uniforms, I plumped for a German one...
I have a celtic supporting brother lol
The point is if kids are educated together and allowed to think differently bigotry will be all but gone when those first merged schools children become the parents but while we still separate our children from the age of 4 and educate them separately we will always have this issue.

Next time you see Jordan Jones Stevie, ask him to show you his twitter feed from back when he signed a pre-contract with Rangers. The amount of sectarian abuse he got from his own fans was horrible. So your fans aren't all inclusive, bear in mind it's the sectarianism between fans we're talking about here. Because if you mean the club itself is all inclusive, so are Rangers. We have or have had ppl from all backgrounds, some of our best players & most favourited players are catholic. Candeias quite recently blessed himself in a Rangers jersey, guess who made a big deal of it? Pretty much every other group of Supporters from other Scottish clubs... apart from Rangers fans. Think it was possibly Ejaria it happened with as well slightly earlier. So they try to goad us on with the whole religion thing, but it's only Rangers where it's a problem? ... If you keep poking at a bear, don't go crying when it eventually turns around and bites you, you have took many opportunities to stick the boot in to us, going out your way to highlight incidents involving Rangers players even in games the team you manage aren't involved in. Yet you don't seem to do it regarding any other team? That nailed your colours to the mast Stevie, & that's why that song got aimed at you, nothing to do with religion. I'd even go as far as to say about 98% that sang that song probably never even knew what religion you followed.
