- After finishing 3rd and securing European Football for Kilmarnock, Steve Clarke took to the pitch to address the fans in what was an emotional day for the Killie support.

Obviously replacing a Scotland manager of the calibre of McLeish, a man with a host of managerial achievements, is a huge job. Naturally, It makes perfect sense to choose someone who has literally won nothing as a manager, not even a runner up. Winning half your games as Killie manager and guiding them to 3rd is hardly what the national team needs.

Clarke has managed under some of the top managers in the world, also has vast experience of the EPL (where most of our players play).
Yes he took a team to finish 3rd... Kilmarnock has one of the smallest budgets in the SPL, We are not talking about hibs, hearts or Aberdeen here.. Also the team was full of the same players who had no belief in themselves and were slugging it out in relegation dog fights year after year.
