hes not carti, hes uzi. yall needa start recognizing that
Exactly
Pink Tape is far from perfect. If I were to described the project in word it’d be “experimental” in a good way. I think it’s pretty clear it has WLR all over the project which is a good.
Pink Tape is an album that’s growing on me everyday and I feel like it’s breath of fresh air needed for the music industry. We don’t need to wait three years to hear the same Uzi from 2020. We need new music
I think this review (and a lot of other ones I’ve seen) tries to make this album into more than what it is. Uzi never said that this would be a focused or cohesive project, and I actually enjoy how chaotic it is cause it’s so interesting to hear all the different styles. I personally loved this album and it’s one of my favorites of the year ngl
I love this album, it’s not perfect and has some skips but one of my fav uzi projects fs
many skipe
The way this guy describes music makes it sound better😂
😂for real
“Mama I’m Sorry” is absolutely amazing the way he flipped those Chief Keef lyrics and made a whole song out of it amazing I love the vibe of that song.
that spin again take is terrible imo ngl, sometimes less is more. Quality video as always though
Everyone complains when an artist doesnt change it up, but when uzi tried new forms of music people call the album trash, atp people who listen to hip hop are only filling there spotify with tik tok songs and trying to relate to whats current, not actually listening and trying to develop a new taste of music, eventually when uzi and carti change the direction of trap music all the haters are gonna come back and call this tape a classic.
I think this album reflects uzi the most as a person. One minute he’s pouring his heart out then the next he’s growling in your ear. I feel like the pink tape was a project uzi made for uzi and not for the industry. Luv is rage 3 will probably be the album that’s targeted for mainstream audience
Pink tape is definitely a mainstream project bc there is a lot of hits in this album who are put to touch a larger audience than a full trap album. That's why the fans who only love when he does trap music didn't like this album that much when it first came out. He did this album because he likes different music genre and also because he can touch a larger audience like Hard rock fans, metal fans etc
But if you were saying that pink tape will target an hip hop audience then I agree with you.
I also think that pink tape is the project that uzi always wanted to do. Uzi always called himself a rockstar and now he does rock songs and he also put the other styles he listens to right now (Melo rnb songs, trap songs, rage music,...)
@@LL-ex yeah it will undoubtedly target the hip hop audience but yeah I agree this is an album that uzi probably has wanted to personally do for a long time. Heavy metal, rock, some genuine vulnerability plus some songs that his fan base have asked for.
I FEEL LIKE BITCH IM THE CROW
Fun fact: Zoom, Flooded The Face and Of Course were all recorded in 2017. Flooded The Face was originally meant to be on Luv Is Rage 2 but they were unable to get the sample cleared.
I been bumping zoom on soundcloud for some time was surprised to see it on an actual album
@@kasra8106 thats me with of course, he still has a few unreleased tracks I would love for him to release like 13 nuyork nights at 21
personally i love this album and there were only 3 skips for me. this my 2nd favorite uzi album
The pink tape is experimental album cause if u think about it if u check his interviews he likes the metal and rock bands so the pink tape has those type of elements I like it it’s really good
not an experimental album cause he did no experimenting himself. on the songs tht were "experimental" he got carried and washed out by the productuion and features. a good recent experimental album is lil yachtys from earlier this year.
@@rs7_von lil yachty album Is also as trash as this One so
As a metalhead, I think that uzi including rock/metal elements in this album is a good thing. But we have to admit 2 things. 1) the "screams" he does are horrofic, he definitely need some excercise. They are very far from a proper scream. 2) "werewolf" is a song that bmth discard for sounding too much like Deftones, and even if it's good, it's basically a bmth song. The same goes for "the end" with baby metal. The only 2 remaining songs with a notable rock influence are "suicide doors" and "amped". It's not much, I think he could implement a bit more this influences
This my favorite album in a while, I get why others might not love it but songs like Pluto to Mars all hit for me
(imo he went 23/26)
9/10
For an album to go number 1 on billboard, it needs to be at least 24 songs. More songs=more streams. Look at how massive Taylor swifts albums be, and she releases the same album like 4 different times 😂
Huge system of a down fan, and CS is so bad that I actually sort of like it. Kind of atonal and all over the place, and with some sections taken out. Honestly just a wack interlude before werewolf pretty much... Not something I will relisten to much, but I am glad it's there I guess
I think we have opposite taste sometimes based on your musical opinions but I always come back to your videos because I can tell your music knowledge is solid. Keep going, love the videos.
I love what you said about uzi writing dark lyrics over upbeat happy type beats it’s something I can’t get into the juxtaposition just isnt hitting and its sad because the emotional dark lyrics is what made me love uzi that’s why i liked patience so much more so the leaked version rather then the one with don toliver
that’s not act like the red and white ep wasn’t hard asf
Flooded the face, zoom, and of course are 5+ year old songs
Man this is high time, we need a Utopia video from you, discussing Travis' and Utopia.
Not me reading the title as "Lil Uzi is BLACK??"
werewolf is literally a deftones song
Mama Im sorry appreciated by his fans but underrated by objective listeners.
“objective listeners” is crazy 😭
That's this whole album
@@Ashiiru when English isn't your native language style happens to be a bit unusual
I originally hated it but after time it kinda grew to a mid song for me, still hella boring and drags on but I like what it does at its peak
@@hagoromootsutsuki6820 The fans waited for this song 2years. So for us it's instantly one of the best songs
I got exactly what I wanted from pink tape, a chance for Uzi to flex his creativity. He’s always pushing the limits of how hip hop/rap sounds. His discography is so unique compared to his contemporaries, he’s just so much fun to listen to at the end of the day in my opinion
this one was amazing, thank you very much
“Mama, I’m sorry” & “Patience” is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
glad other people seeing the vision of Nakumura u could feel the energy and soul in that track
nice vid, why the subtitles in the beginning? 😂
Great review
Fun fact, Nakamura is actually a sample is a wrestler theme song named nakamura
Lol hw don't do his research but nakamura sample is insane!!!!
@@keenanscott1831 lol fax it was
Every mid rapper releases too many songs nowadays, it’s how they hack the streaming charts
Listened to the entire thing twice. Trap beats and auto tuned singing/rap. 2 "metal" tracks. Nothing ground breaking. If you are a fan you'll dig it, if not, just the same old same old. Not complaining :)
Please make a video about Lucki
Of course was also huge for the poducer Forza cus him and uzi had beef cus forza leaked a few songs cus uzi never released them and he was like struggling to make ends meet
Philip saying a long album would not be great
SITKOL, All Eyez on Me, SB/TLB: Am I a joke to you?
Wait eternal attack came out 3 years ago 😳
Pluto to Mars is a banger, old Uzi vibes
it was made like 5 years ago
It was made in December 2020
This tape is not TRAP! or even Hip Hop its just an over welcome vibe.
bro what lmaoo
Nigga
@@rs7_vonmy man’s said him rapping on beats not hiphop 😂
Pluto to mars is beautiful
Oh and the flow. The flow. Yes the flow. I didn't think anything bad about the "flow"
Spin again is the hardest song on the album lmao
You got taste
*one of* that beat is crazy
You really just skipped zoom like that?😐
4:07 😂yup
Eternal atake < pink tape < luv is rage 2
Let's goooo
Pink tape is alright, Whole Lotta Red is better
L take on pluto to mars
It was mid
Patience was a total vibe
Mid album
Wassup body
what up
idk man i really didnt enjoy this album
System of a Down isn’t rap metal lol
Wlr > pink tape
u don't know what u talkin bout
uzi's pronouns are they/them
this album was straight butt
Straight booty cheeks npc fans don't wanna admit it
Amped is one of the worst uzi songs ive ever heard. Also there are more terrible uzi songs on the pinktape, but I liked a lot of the songs. As an album, terrible. as a playlist, good.
Amped literally sounds like Uzi trying to act like “Autumn!” on Antagonist.
@@allen62 fr
uh bro, have you ever listened to All Eyes On Me? 2hr 12min of flawless Gangsta Rap music, it can be done
All Eyes On Me Is BORING
how hard is it to respect someone’s pronouns bruh
Its not that serious, a pronouns wont determine someones integrity.
Hes a man ffs, not everyone has to feed into peoples delusions
a huge majority of people only listen to the music and don’t keep up with their personal lives or social media.
@@SedraKurdi i’m talking about the person talking in the video
@@rinharter7758 i promise you people would be throwing a hissy fit if anyone called uzi “she”
