100%. His son wants to hug him but is repulsed - but then the Dad pushes his son to hug some other bloke! Sends mixed messages; and then the whole "he needs to toughen up" thing is so toxic. And then he fawns over his tantrumming spoilt daughter. I feel most sorry for the mum and the son in this scenario. The homework section was truly distressing - he really came off like he didn't like his son.
Glad he managed to turn it round.

Remember people, parents are taught or learn by their parents and that means the good, bad and some dysfunctional behavior. Some people aren't even aware there are problems or won't admit it.The smart parents acknowledge there's a problem and do whatever it takes to permanently change for the better and that takes love and courage!

I felt sorry for the son the way his dad spoke to him! Poor kid just wanted love and praise and it took Jo to push him to do it. I always told my son i was proud of him and that i love him and will always love him, you shouldn't have to be told how to show your own kid love and affection!!
