He started off with the presumption that Jo was judging him. Every time she tried to teach something, he didn't take it as teaching, he took it as judging.
Mike thought that Jo was going to come in and just magically fix the kids or show his wife how to deal with them. He had no idea that he should learn how to parent his kids also, and that's what he was resisting.
Which makes me ask the question why ask her to come? Did he just think it would be about him?
Impression I got was he allowed Jo in to teach his wife how to manage the kids cause it's her job and he's all round amazing so obviously doesn't need any help 🙄
He wanted to hear: Your wife is wrong, your kids are wrong and you are wonderful. Didn't Happen...

Mike is another NBA prima donna who thinks the world revolves around him. You can always tell an NBA superstar but you can't tell them much.
We grow athletes this way so that we can enjoy their performances. We privilege them from the time that they show talent and potential and then we're surprised when they grow to expect it. There are Mike James' on every field, court, course or ice rinks. It's the monster that professional sport creates.
