In this video titledEU4 Releasables - You NEED TO PLAY This HIDDEN DAIMYO I do a playthrough as Akamatsu after releasing it from Ashikaga and I try to become a great power in Europa Universalis 4 1.34 Lions of The North. This is the series titled Releasables where I attempt to play every releasable nation in EU4 or Europa Universalis 4. In this video I play as the nation of Akamatsu in EU4. Fun fact:
The reason that Akamatsu doesn't exist in 1444 is that they were punished for assassinating the previous shogun of ashikaga, by having all their holding stripped. Later in the sengoku era when Yamana stood against the shogun, Akamatsu was released to stop Yamana. Both of them was annexed by Oda Nobunaga later.
Yea the Kakitsu incident was quite interesting imo, could have been an interesting start date where Akamatsu has to fight the rest of Japan
...that sounds like a cover-up and a power grab rolled into one.
@@gabrielclark1425 Yes, Yamana Sozen (Yamana's 1444 ruler) absorbed all of the Akamatsu land by being the first to crush their rebellion, it was the perfect chance for power grabbing lol.

This use of the console I'm much more ok with than placing the nation in a totally different spot. Doesn't actually change the goals or the game, just makes it less painful, but still painful in the fun ways

As descendant of the Akamatsu clan (live in Himeji, the city with the castle monument in eu4) i am quite excited that my ancestral clan finally has time in the spotlight!

The akamatsu clan was displaced during the edo period, their descendants were in Shizuoka (where imagawa is in game) not in himeji...

@@TheRedHawk personally I would be interested in part 2s of campaigns you found the most fun even if it slows down the progression on the series. Personally I get bogged down/bored more in the mid game than in the early game and would be excited to see you showcase the age of absolutism and after a little bit more

The Etruscan tag unifying Italy would be cool to see also the Indian OPM rebel tag you get the event to release as a subject.

If you become independent from Japan and then feed Kyoto to a vassal that is not a daimyo, you won’t become a shogunate when you annex the vassal and can keep the morale and ica from being a daimyo. Still isn’t patched as far as I know.

Would like to see you release and play the Sami people in northern Scandianvia. They apparently got some content in the Lions of the North update.
Akamatsu national ideas:
1. Been chilling: core creation cost -40%.
2. Wassup Beijing: you get a permanent claim over China.
3. You can’t see me: troops’ movement speed +50%.
4. Great Leap Forward: production modifier +60%.
5. Nothing in Tiananmen: diplomatic reputation plus, no bad rep, no coalition.
6. Red sun in the sky: idea cost -99%.
Actually made a joke about akamatsu ideas before, but its more 'imperial japan warcrime denier' as I know someone whos descendant of the Akamatsu clan on discord whose quite open about his opinions on that
Edit: other joke i make on them is '10% discipline' as that guy thought that giving akamatsu 10% discipline in ni's was balanced

@@masanoriakamatsu3225 a lot releasable countries should actually, also hordes may also have their NIs a bit weakened… hordes are simply ruthless in this game, once you go horde you never get bored, but at the same time it makes me less interested in trying other countries…

When you fight a coalition war against your neighbour, you turn back for twenty years and when you look back they retook every province they lost in one war XD

As Soyo, conquer the Southern Africa super region, and conquer Australia too
not that it matters, but you don't need to turn debug mode on to use the "own" command (or really most commands)
Making ming a vassal whilst they are small and have all their cores best decision , did that in a russian Gameplay
I believe Akamatsu is one of 3 with generic daimyo ideas so it's still pretty unique
For Soyo, what about conquering the three great rivers of Africa territories, Congo, Niger and Nile.

you know that Hojo spawns in the wrong province in the game? Should spawn in Sagami (actually supposed to be Izu but in-game that's part of Sagami) instead of Musashi but EU4 hasn't updated that event in forever

There is other way, play as ashikaga, and wait until your regency end, attakc them, annex and realease then. You can even play them on ironman.
Yes, it takes almost 8 years, so you waste some time and it's also bit harder to unite japan, but it is possible

lmao that's a tradtional Japanese symbol called the mitsudomoe, and this symbol is also used by other tags in eu4 besides Akamatsu (Utsunomiya and Ryukyu come to mind)

It's about keeping the rarely seen name of that releasable. Asturias controlling all of Spain is more interesting than Spain controlling all of Spain.

When you play another Japanese nation instead of uniting japan why not ignore Asia all together and colonize Australia and America. Maybe fight some of the European colonizers.
As a daimyo you cannot fight outsiders unless you become the Shogun. Do you mean leave half of Japan as a daimyo and exodus?
I hope on the next update, they add Yamato Clan, a very old ancient tribal clan turned into an empire that created Japan and the daimyos
