- In this video titled EU4 Releasables - NO ONE Knows THIS NATION Has an ACHIEVEMENT I do a playthrough as Lippe after releasing it from Berg and I try to become a great power in Europa Universalis 4 1.35 Domination. This is the series titled Releasables where I attempt to play every releasable nation in EU4 or Europa Universalis 4. In this video I play as the nation of Lippe in EU4. You get Russian principality missions as Nizhny Novgorod, and I believe one of those gives you permaclaims on the entire region of your capital. You want to move your capital to the Russian region, since Nizhny Novgorod itself is technically in the ural region

Hi RedHawk, russian viewer is here. As Nizhny Novgorod you should conquer Velikiy ("Great in translation") Novgorod (or just Novgorod, as it is written in the game), annex Novgorod as a country and rename Novgorod somehow to end struggle for modern russians who always confuse one with another.
Did you known Nizhny Novgorod got its name because the Novgorod we all know shared it's name. Novgorod (the one we know) is called Veliky Novgorod. Veliky means "Great", Nizhny means "Lower" even though NN is higher in altitude than VN

If there's a tie for the HREmperor, it goes to the current Emperor. If the current Emperor isn't one of the tied nations it is indeed highest prestige that decides it.

@@Idontknowwhattocallmyself Prestige is fractional, with a lot of decimal places. (I think only 2 are shown in tooltips, but I believe there are actually more.) It's extremely unlikely that the tied nations have the exact same prestige to 8 decimal places (or whatever the actual limit is). But, if that unlikely scenario does occur, the deciding factor is probably "tag order" (the arbitrary order in which Paradox added nations to the game - search the wiki for the list). Lippe probably wouldn't win that one.
The classic misclick-nolook-surrender offer strikes again - Brandenburg ends their rivalry with Mecklenburg, not ends their alliance with Denmark like you had wanted.

I've noticed a couple of times in the latest patch your allies can call you into wars with countries that you have truces with which is probably why you lost stab at the 20:04 mark.
I've actually got the achievement for them as well. It's actually one of the rarer achievements out there, even though it's not very difficult.

@@olabolob The game came out in August 2013, so nearly 10 years ago. The Stiff Upper Lippe achievement was added in July 2020, nearly 3 years ago. I'd say yeah, it's fairly recent.
Add in that it's a minor releasable in an area with a plethora of other, more interesting, tags. Also add in that while it isn't difficult, it can be time consuming to get big enough to fight England if you can't secure strong allies.
Manny achivments are rare. I habe Gold Rush which is Not hard at all but only Like 1,7 % of the Players have it.
I did this as Munster and released Lippe to get theocracy government type and went for high sails reform to get navy morale buffs and invade england with help of france an dother allies.
But Monarchys also get a Morale Buff for their navys now via Gov Reform.
@@kalterverwalter4516 the theocratic naval buffs are essentially only beaten by pirates and thats just barely
I remember I got this achievement by vassalizing Lipe with the revoke, conquering all of Britain, and giving it to them, then after it was cored, I formed the hre and just released and played as them lol!
I did the same thing - achievement pops up, and instant game over as the AI Austria clicked the last mission to form the HRE. ;)
@13:31 I wanna point out that one of the options is a habsburg that allows for claiming austrias throne with a bit of work
actually elective monarchy is really good if you go for pu's, had a bohemia one faith game; austria, france, naples, great britain, spain, portugal, were the pu's i got due to this besides burgundy, poland, hungary and lithuania. i could've got even more pu but it wasn't worth it
oh forgot add when you get re-elected as emperor you gain 10 ia but as bohemia since after getting re-elected i was also electing a new ruler i was gaining 10 more. 20 ia was really useful to revoke the privilegia

Lippe is like 5 kilometers from were I live in rural Germany. I always force other nations to release them when given the chance in a war. Mighty Lippe shall rise again!

Anyways keep up the good work, you are always one of my main go to's, you and budget monk are the two EU4 content creators I always send friends if they are new too the franchise!

13:15 the second option is OP, lets you get your dynasty the same as your huge neighbour, sometimes you will be able to royal marry+claim throne instantly. Elective is OP.

Genuinely one of the more fun achievements I've gotten, got lucky with a Burgundy PU on my first attempt though so it wasn't really too challenging, but it definitely felt like an accomplishment for how good I was at the game at the time

15:40 The best option was to end the alliance between Brandenburg and Saxony. That way Saxony stops voting for Brandenburg and because nobody is voting for them they vote for you. It's possible you stay the HRE emperor

Is the elective monarchy not good because you had the option of having a von Habsburg ruler, so you could easily get a pu cb on Austria?
Actually elective monarchy is good. Its just that even the older players would be confused on its mechanics. But essentially it allows you to pick the heir.

Hey RH, quick tip about the Elective Monarchy:
You said you hated it, try States General instead. I experimented on it on a run with Italy and it was AWESOME!
It helps you suppress any possible event regarding republicans, it let's you pick another option if the successor is bad (only 2 options, both COULD be bad, but it's way better than disinherit spam, right?) and you get the monarchist-statist balance to control, giving different buffs (reminds me of mysticism-legalist balance from muslim nations).
I think it's way better than elective monarchy that looks to me like a tool to panic ditch bad sucessors and get some events of royal marriages (like "friends in need" and the local noble family thing).
States General is even better than republic IMO since you get to keep legitimacy counter instead of rep tradition which helps A LOT with the overturn of rulers and the need to endure terrible presidents. Moreover, your ruler gets to stay until he dies (if monarchist enough I think, my rulers were always this way) AND you don't get stab hit when he does. It is even better than rep dictatorship that gives many bad events and some other bad modifiers. And after the dictator is gone, your country could have events regarding instability.
It is amazing, seriously, I fell in love with the gov reform. It isn't perfect, but fix SO MUCH of the monarchy problems we're used to when playing most nations in EU4.

I guess you can check someone else's diplo rep by looking at your opinion modifiers towards them? You can them compare that to their opinion modifier towards you based on diplo rep, and see which one is higher. But yeah, it's diplo rep that wins ties, I guess to represent you deftly negotiating an agreement with the electors to break the deadlock. It's a pity, in a way, because HRE succession wars would be interesting. EDIT: Actually, the wiki contradicts itself on different pages, whether it's prestige or diplo rep. I guess that means you might as well go for both!
The middle option in elective monarchy is supposed to give you a dynasty matching a weak neighbor of yours.
There is a distinction between ravensburg and ravensberg. The first means ravens castle and the second ravens mountain. You distinct the sounds in the pronounciation for burg in the 'urg'. Say it as if you are lifting something heavy. Berg is on the 'erg' and sounds like retching. Don't know how to explain it better, hope you get the gist of what I mean
Ravensboorg versus ravensbehrg, interested parties can get better at german pronunciation to understand things better.
I don't mean no disrespect and i understand that it's normal since Red Hawk isn't from Germany.
