I have been asked a few times to show you how and what i use to colour my hair copper at home. This is a semi tutorial, I give you bits of advice and show you what I do. I used to be a hairdresser many years ago however, colouring my own hair is completely different to how I would colour a clients hair haha....I'm more 'slap dash' on myself! I've been platinum blonde for a while now and I have absolutely loved it being naturally brunette, however after moving away from the hairdresser I used I started doing my roots myself which led to me not getting the result I wanted and my hair becoming more and more damaged. I've always loved the colour of ginger hair and love Stacey Dooleys hair colour and after coming across your video after much debating I've decided to take the plunge!

That is EXACTLY how I dye my hair!!đ But it works! I never have blotchy or missed spots, its super quick and then I keep abit of wet and slightly soapy kitchenroll nearby for "stray dye" on ears, neck aso. Job done!đđđŒđ

I have darker red dyed hair- light intense auburn from garnier. I'm naturally a brunette. Do you think this would work on my already-boxed-dyed red hair? I don't want it to damage my hair though.
Julia D'Egidio hi there, yes definitely!! It would bring out ginger tones in your hair, it might not dramatically change colour but the shades are similar and you would notice a difference, more of a brightening colour, I think it would look nice. Xx

It's maybe a silly question, but can you mix two colors of olia box dye with each other or do i need to dye it two times ? I want red hair with a good touch of Cooper/ginger in it

Brilliant Video, Really Useful, 1 Thing Tho, Do U Have Any Advice For Me, Whenever I Dye My Hair I Rub It In Really Well & Cover All Of The Roots Well & Thoroughly, I Even Put A Plastic Bag Over My Hair & Use A Hairdryer, Then When I Wash It All Off After About 40 Mins I Find My Roots Haven't Taken In A Lot Of Places, So I Have To Try Again Once Or Twice More, A Real Pain, Help Needed Please So I Only Have To Do It Once, Thanks Loads, Your Hair Looks Awesome Btw đ

Anybody know if I can put this colour on my blonde hair to go light chocolate brown?
Fitness Beauty hi there, not sure if this will help now sorry but .. no, it wonât go a brown shade. Putting this dye on light blonde hair would turn it a super bright copper colour. The hair extension I dyed and showed in this video went through a process of a few dyes to get it to colour match my hair. To dye your hair the shade you want, you need to steer clear of red and copper shades. But, it all depends on what your natural shade is like and if you want to add warmth to the brown shade. A hairdresser would be able to talk it through with you better in person xx
i've been using this too. but it washes out soooooo easily :( have you tried paprika power by l'oreal? it stays so much better
Yes!!!! So fast : ( I use this colour in the summer months and then i go a little darker in the winter. I use Loreal Prodigy Amber 6:45. I dont think ive seen paprika power by Loreal, ill have a look. Thanks xx

Ooh no I havenât but, that sounds like it might have more red tones in it... I prefer to go for orange tones although, same shade ish?! Are you out of the UK? It might be the same shade but different country. Xx
@@Diaryofabeautygeek no Iâm in the states, so maybe thatâs why they donât have this intense copper shade:/ the intense fire ruby is actually orange more so than red believe it or not. I didnât think it was either because of the word ârubyâ which would make it sound more red, but itâs not
my experience is that NONE of the Olia box dyes turn out the same shade as the box photo !!

Schwarzkopf in 8- 77 ( light blonde copper extra) is near the same color if they ever discontinue the color you love. Iâm a redhead and I put it over my red hair and it produces the same results.
Iâm watching this because I just dyed my hair this colour and I think itâs gone wrong đ itâs not dry yet but itâs very dark and red đ

I bought the Prodigy one from your last dyeing video for my extensions, and you're right, it is quite patchy. I miss the old Feria Paprika Power! Love your halo by the way. I'm going to have to try one out!

Itâs such a shame this one gives you a reaction đ I never tried the Feria one but thereâs not many that has the right shade of copper/ginger I like, Iâm quite fussy haha thereâs loads that are more red toned but I prefers more orange. For now I have my two favs but I hope they donât discontinue them!! Xxx
Discontinuation is the WORST. I'm the same-I love orange and not red. Just redid mine and love it. I love your colour so much.

Will it work on black or darker hair???
probably not on black especially dyed black hair but it might work a bit on dark hair in that it will give it an auburn look, not like mine but it will give an orange/red tinge to the hair
I used this last autumn and I LOVED it but unfortunately it faded in the 1st wash and didn't last đą
Try Loreal Preference in the color Intense Red Copper next time, it's basically this same color and won't fade at all for about 3-4 weeks
Aw these shades do fade more than others but it could be your shampoos and conditioners that are stripping it too... I use paraben and sulphate free shampoos which helps. But yes, it does fade super fast. When I use this colour, I dye my hair every 4-5 wks maybe but when I use the LâOrĂ©al prodigy Amber which is darker, I can get away without re dying a lot longer. Xx

I believe you're right that it's my shampoo and conditioner stripping the color of my hair I've been using Loreal Elvive and it contains parabens and sulfate

Because its a drugstore hair dye.. Will it damage my hair?
It all depends on your hair before dying it. If itâs in good condition then it will be fine. Just make sure to do a patch test before hand xx

The colour is more vibrant because it is a level 7, which means it is a shade lighter than the shade you previously used, which is a level 6.
Yes I tend to go for a level 7 in the summer and a level 6 in the winter. This one is a little patchy but I do love the bold shade xx

Oh no!!! There must be something wrong with that paticular formula??!! Or unless your hair might have had hair products in or was a bit oily which may have caused a sort of barrier??!! Fustrating for you though xx

How long do u leave it for on ur hair
I canât remember exactly but itâs usually 20 minutes for roots first then blend the rest of the dye into the rest of your hair for a remaining 10 minutes. Xx

florenna thank you , Iâve never been able to try Henna unfortunately as Iâve been dying my hair since I was 14yrs old and without a break really and you canât apply a Henna colour on hair thatâs been previously dyed as the chemicals will mix and turn hair a lovely khaki shade haha but, thatâs what I learnt many years ago... things might be different now xx
Yoi don' y need fake tan the paler the skin the better with copper hair ...im going to put this over my hair that is the colour yours was so fingers crossed for good results ..i have a salon so will get my colourist to put this box dye on ....she will freak out but l like the results on you ...

They stopped making it. It was my favourite for just making my naturally red hair and little more vibrant :(
Idk why they got rid of it. I really hope they don't get rid of the dark soft mahogany by next year because I want to try that specific color.
