am not using holley except for the hi-ram & fuel pump. i do have someone that was employed by for that is doing my harness. i did have to purchase the holley universal coil-on-plug P/N 558-307 plus pigtails. i just need to find headers or decent exhaust manifolds for the 01 ranger 4x4 it is going in. thanks
Are you going to do a coil pack to wire harness installation video? I just rebuilt a 98 Explorer 5.0 tranny & transfer case which is now in my 01 ranger 4x4 & switched to the Godzilla 7.3 liter coil packs. would like to find a diagram or install video on this application. would like your help if possible> Thanks, FD
I don't think I went into huge detail on the wiring pin out as it's pretty custom and boring to watch for most. I do have other videos on the install though. Check out the forum efidynotuning I can post spreadsheets or answer any questions there. This ignition system works great.
Very nice fab work and I like your approach for a distributorless sbf system. Did want to surface another approach for the coils.Could twin 4 post/4 coil packs been used in lieu of 8 individual coils and short leads to the plugs? The twin 4 post/coil packs might be mounted where standard plug wires could be used and space constraints exist.
I'm not sure if coil packs could be used in place of 8 individual coils with the luxury EECV. Best to check/ask on EFIDynoTuning forums. I know earlier EECV or some EECIV can use the coil packs instead, think explorer or early 4.6l. I have some that I was going to do but changed direction, also T4MO ECU doesn't support coil packs.
Has crossed my mind. Not sure how many people will be running Godzilla coils. I would need to figure out the bolt pattern for the more commonly used LS and smart coils. Secondly you'll notice there isn't an oil fill port in the valve cover yet. There isn't much room in the normal location on the passenger valve cover.
I assume you are referring to LS style coils. LS style "smart" coils have built in ignitors which will not work with factory ford ECU. Before the godzilla coils were released it was recommended to use the coils from the 4.6L, which is designed for coil on plug and not easy to mount for a coil near plug setup. If I'm mistaken then please send me a link cause I couldn't find any other "dump" coils that had this mounting style.
@@RinerAutomotive I have no idea. I'm completely unfamiliar with the options and was just curious about the motivation behind the choice. But then I saw the previous video, which explained the choice. I have to look at options for a 351W block. I don't know if it ever went distributorless.
Great job Stephen.

FYI I'm not sure that harness will work with the Godzilla coils. The Godzilla coils are not smart coils like the LS ones.
i got the info from another u tube video. google "96 mustang gt coil-on-plug conversion".

nice work
Could you have more coil mounts made to sell? I'd be very interested in purchasing a set!
Now it just need >7L and ready to go!
Ha wouldn't that be great

From my research, you'd have to go with batch fire/wasted spark. I'm currently using dodge neon coils on that setup.
I think if you sold some of these as kits they would sell fast.

Why run these compared to aftermarket units?

Ah gotcha. I do like the difference in idle sound now with distributorless. Not sure if it's any better or more powerful but I like it so far.
Will this work for a turbo Foxbody? I have an aem infinity so harness isn’t an issue.
I'm not familiar with what coils work with AEM. Most ECUs require smart coils, Ford ECU uses standard 2 pin coils.
hello! this coils have built in the ignitor? thanks.
The Godzilla coils do not have built in ignitors like LS smart coils. It depends on what ECU you're using.
The sn95 was designed by a woman and it shows.
Why because it looks good? 😂
