I have been on two wheels for a good few years now, and have been blessed to be able to enjoy all the ups and downs of riding and owning various motorcycles. For these past few years my retired father and youngest brother joined me on their own Harley Davidson's. We have done a few awesome rides to quiet places, breakfast runs here and there, and short trips just to ease the mind and soul……
But today’s trip will be different, more special in a sense. We have been planning and talking about this day-trip for a long time, and now the day has finally dawned!
So, join us as we explore what remains of a small Free State Town called Vrede (translated to English it means "Peace"). The is the town where my father grew up. It holds a lot of sentimental value for us, and brings back a lot of memories and nostalgia…

What makes it more special is the fact that barely two weeks later, as you know, Josua and I wrote off our bikes in a tragic accident, and I almost lost my life. It was a bitter-sweet process to produce this video. I am eternally grateful to our Heavenly Father for sparing both your lives, but also sad that we are not able to ride together anymore. The trips we did together will always be my best memories and greatest adventures. You are still the toughest guy I know, and I am super proud to call you my Dad 🤗😎 ❤️

Thanks so much. This was filmed 2x weeks before my father and brother were involved in a serious accident.
My brother came off mostly unscathed. But my dad ended up in the Cardiotheracic ICU for almost a month. With multiple fractures on his collar bone, 6x broken ribs and a colapsed lung, to name only a few injuries.
He is doing a lot better now but is still recovering. This was our last bike trip together 😪
