- The dawn of a new era for a 1957 Chevy 4x4 short bed. Somehow or another, we're going to de-rust and de-crust this coastal crustacean. Looks like a long, hard road ahead...
Rock Lobster!!! - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Much admire your humour, presentation and ability - never fails to raise a smile and wonder at your optimism in the face of great adversity.... Keep the videos coming.
No winch needed. I like that. Great video Jeff.
Great video!👍🏽😀❤️🇺🇸
Mar 29-2023
The best thing is when you drove it up on the tilt trailer. Badup badone. Clunkety-clunk. Love it.
That's my favorite year Chevy truck.
Great to watch from the other side of the world, OZ. Goodonyamate....
That's a good save there Jeff. Looking forward to the next video to see what you're going to do to it.
great truck
Thanks Jeff awesome find and great video...
Nice save, good works getting that old truck running.
Nice find. Looking forward to this series.
Looks like you had a lot of help with that one. Thank goodness you had an assistant. :P
Nice job Jeff. Great entertainment. I like your music.
Where it all started for me. This probably 3rd time I've been through your collections. Hi from Pa Mr buckeye
Another fine episode and start on a new season.
I also can't believe you have relatively few subscribers, jeffers ,old bean. Keep up the good work. Thumbs up as always.
Where do you find those treasures? Thanks for sharing another day in the entertaining life of Jeff’s world. So glad you recuperated so well from your wreck. Keep the videos coming. Thanks for sharing. 👍🇺🇸
Love the video Jeff . . . . always fun and as a bonus, we get some good tips! Take care of yourself . . . ;) Rog
I love these old start/cold start vids! Keep up the good work!
Good looking truck!!
wow that's my dream truck very cool ride
Your videos are so good, I don't see how you don't have like 1,000,000 subs, Thanks for posting this, great vid. keep um coming.
SEE WHAT YOU DID?!????? NOW HES NOT DOING VIDEOS ANYMORE!!! Jk
Cool truck!
Always a treat when you get a new truck Mr Bradshaw, fun and games in the weeks to come, and maybe a trip to the Flying Dutchman workshop as a bonus?
Crusty has character!
Dude great videos.
Just found you guys and I LOVE IT!
I love how that 10% ethanol turns into a horrible sludge after as little as two months. I drained some nasty crap that used to be ethanol off the bottom of my car's gas tank not too long ago. Gotta love those massive corn subsidies keeping corn, and therefore ethanol, super cheap.
Always a JOY to fire up a new "Find"!
I want to say I like your videos and its so nice not to hear cussing every few words like so many others .Keep up the good work
+Tiffany Price Thank you Tiffany. (If it is Tiffany!) I've yet to have anyone comment that I don't use enough 4 letter words! I've tried to tell that to other "Tubers". Nobody is ever offended by lack of cussing.
+Tiffany Price
Me too, it's just crude.
Love your videos Jeff always watching for your next . I sure can relate to the things you do , i have a country shop complet with Dog , Jackass and Two rousters . To the guy that carys all of those tools ..... He needs to get himself RAM
Isn't it funny how a truck can get a personality all its own? That truck seems to want to go back to work again.
T5yy
dang jeff that's a sweet hart of a truck
Good video ! Enjoy each one !
man I have been watching you're vids awhile and you make me think of a couple people in my family here in southern Kentucky always fixing something. Keep up the good work and vids they are very useful and creative tips. thanks for keeping me entertained.
It must be a west coast thing as there are very few of those old vintage 4wds down here in the deep south any more, and if you do find one it is completely rusted away, stripped down to nothing,or it has been restored, and put away...
Great job Jeff!
Looking forward to more on the "Rock Lobster"
This would be the project truck I would have, if there were more available.
Really looking forward to seeing what you do with this ol beastie!
Looks pretty good.
Jeff I've been using your technique to remove old bolts (hitting it with a hammer) on a vintage outboard a real time saver. Thanks a bunch for all the tips and tricks. I hate ethanol too absolute garbage for carbs and fuel economy.
nice truck!!
Would love to have one like that.
That AFB was already 5 years old (1952) when this truck was born. Vic Edelbrock made a lot of money off that antique.
Beauty truck, I would love to find a reasonably priced one like that!
What the he'll was that neat Look in little duehicky
What in tar hill is that shiny white thing in front of that trailer where Ol' Blue 'pose to be?
Looking forward to seeing where this new addition to the Bradshaw Home for the Aged Iron lands in the pecking order of "projects under way".
Thanks Jeff, always a treat to see a new video from you.
what a find!
You should designate a part of a field just to parking trucks like this, maybe a place by the shop, dunno. But you should have a line of just old trucks that barely hold themselves together. Even WITH the bailing wire...
I need more !!!!
nice!!! rusty ol red should be its name great find wish she was mine id take her fix the doors and any thing else that makes her not run right and use her as my personal volunteer fire response truck id keep all the flaws & just clear coat her it`s kool how you find crusty rusty gold (you lucky dog)
Nice work! Should be intresting to follow this project/
good stuff
20000 views and not one dislike....thats pritty good
I have two basic rules for electricity:
1) You have to hook it up
2) You have to switch it on
Violate either of those two rules, and no amount of head scratching will permit your intended to work.
Violating rule 1 with the coil wire is a definite no-go.
Is that a genuine NAPCO? Looks like a decent project.
Talisman1957 Excellent.
Axles are mostly rebuilt and we've got a new frame - the old one was bent. Next is up to Jeff, but at some point there will be bodywork, engine, trans, transfer case and a new wire harness from Painless.
What was the thing we should have if we work on carbs at 5:40? Was it a pick or a slim magnet or or a grabber magigger?
score another one .good fer you.
well forgot to ask in earlier comment what kinda oil did you put in the cylinders? was thinking regular engine oil might not get in all the places ya wanted it to 'get loose' enjoy your work. the hay job brought back memories
Stumpy LawnmowerGuy Marvel Mystery Oil! Not worried about getting things loose, Just don't want to dry fire it.
ElderlyIron ah yes...I think you told me before or mentioned it in another vid.. I redo lawn mowers that have sit for some time and want to do the same. off to the store I go. thanks Jeff and RNR
now that you have that great new additive in your fuel you need to start buying marvel mystery oil by the gallon seems to be the best stuff i have used to combat crud in the fuel system .we have had that great new fuel for 20 years now yuck it eats hose from the inside out and rubber needle valves seem to turn into jelly and fuel pump defames do not last long ether but life seems better when you use marvel in your older rigs hope this helps you some and keep saving them from the junk man
I'm always curious about what these projects go for price wise. I figure some people will give them away to a good home and some still feel an attachment to the heap like it's still a real hum-dinger. I've got one I'm working on and depending on the day I place it's value anywhere between 4K and free to haul off. Just found your channel and figured to start at the beginning.
It's more than just the sellers opinion. You also have to factor market value, less problems. This truck had so many issue once we got into it, it's real value would have been 1800 or less. Given the parts we re-used, more like 1200. Purchase price can often put you upside-down in the final value.
the picture say i am here lol
how many projects does jeff have going on now? i came in after he started a second project after whitey.
I THINK YOU SHOULD CALL IT BIG RED
"Oooh... Crunchy..."
cool
Where did this beast come from? It was nice-n-sunny over the mountains last week when I was up there (KFalls).
Another successful resuscitation Doc. Where did you go to med school at ? Looks like this one will be in ICU for awhile.
It's Mater.
enjoyed watching this all over again why didn't ya take the coil wire loose at the coil rather than at the distributor? silly question I'm sure. after the truck started ya'll sure got away from it there for a bit :)
Hey Jeff is everything okay? I hope so.... there is no new videos up lately. .. I know a bunch of us cannot wait for you to put new ones up!
I need this truck
Not a fan of the AFB. Great video!
Jeff. Hope your ok. Haven't seen a video lately
T=up
here in germany we can choose between 10%, 5% and 0% of that shit in our gas. i always take 5% its not that bad and not too expensive
16:10, lol's
Carter afb, lol it's got two floats and neither has a seat sitting in the brass fitting
Did I hear a mountain lion at 11:44 ?
Hey can you use braided line as gas line
Why do they put alcohol in American petrol if it makes the fuel go 'off' in a short period & turn a float bowl into a mess of gunge?
NJPurling Alcohol ups the octane number.
I heard your camera got mowed over ? .....is that true ?
so what size is that motor?
Do you mean 10% ethanol ? If so, all states have to sell it
There are some stations around the country that sell gasoline without the adulteration of ethanol. I think the site is puregas.com. They try to keep it up to date.
***** Sorry- wrong address. This is it: pure-gas.org/
***** I know about the websites that tell you where the stations are that sell ethanol free gas but my question was about when he said something along the lines that Oregon had a law that allowed them to sell gas that had 10% alcohol.
fordwindsor351 That's what I get for staying up late :)
IIRC- I'm not positive- stations in certain air pollution districts have to make E10 available. Doesn't mean you have to buy it, but it has to be made available to you. Oregon legislature probably just thought that forcing the issue state-wide made them appear to be "doing something to save the planet". Bet you a doughnut this was tied to a threat from the Feds to delay or withhold road and infrastructure funding.
😍 👀 👀Ohhhhh DANG..I Want Crusty 👀 👀 😍
Is it for sale Jeff??
350 v8 small block?
Excellent truck, on the way to another excellent video series! Check out my channel for the same type of stuff on a 1956 Cadillac, 1958 Edsel, and a 1958 Bel-Air.
Can't wait for the next one!
how to fix door latch use wd- 40 it work
Jeff, you alive?
I wonder that too.....
First.
