I totally understand the type of diet your uncle needs to be on. I had went through the full gastric bypass surgery a little over a year ago and have to be on a high protein diet myself. Plus home grown vegetables are way better than box or store bought can vegetables that are full of chemicals that are horrible for your body and health. Canning and freezing your own fresh veggies are definitely a better option.
That's right neighbor I finally got some raised beds made and planted a bunch of veggies hopefully unc will eventually learn to not only eat them but like them. I plan to can next year hopefully, financially this year it's doubtful I can afford it sadly. Hope your doing good since your surgery!!!
Well that's not necessarily true, there are good carbs and bad carbs, but for a diabetic they need to have a very low carb diet, which unfortunately my uncle doesn't seem to understand or care as he ears an immense amount of pasta products and bread.
