You might want to study economics a bit; those of us who actually work pay a weekly or monthly chunk into Social Security, which is supposed to be returned to us upon retirement. It "ain't" the government's money, despite the fact that so many "vote-buying" politicians use it to "spread the wealth around." :-)
I’m not sure who said such a ridiculous thing to you. But you have been working long before i was born, being in my mid 30’s. What you pay into it will be returned to you in full because its yours and you are entitled to it.

I carried a G21 and then a G21C for many years as my duty gun. The gun was as accurate as I was and never had a malfunction. God Bless Gaston Glock !

Every time I start thinking about getting a 1911, I see Hickok and the G21 Gen 4 with the 13 + 1 capacity and can't justify a 1911 anymore lol
My 1911 is a 14 + 1 .45.
As cool as this weapon is, it doesn't have the nostalgia factor that the 1911 carries.

rambosperm I totally agree with you. A 1911 is easily my most wanted handgun but at the price range for a mid-level 1911, I can buy at least 2 NIB Gen 4 Glocks and even then reliability concerns, capacity, weight, etc. Not knocking the 1911, just my own reasons but yeah those Kimbers are def good looking!

I have a glock 17 and 45, really love em, but my gen 4 21 is my absolute favorite. It goes everywhere with me. And it conceals just fine as well. A great all around tool for sure
@mgoerndt , There's very, very little margin of error in terms of windage if you think about it. Like a bowling pin, they are very narrow.

That happens when you fire a low velocity bullet.
Watched this video today (eight years behind), and find it interesting and informative. A big thank you hickok45 for the great review and demo of this Glock. I'm sure now wether to buy this or not. Keep up the good work and God bless sir!

@mantelas, Sounds like something some 1911 lovers / Glock haters might promote. :-) Again, people who worry about 100 fps would do well to just focus on learning to shoot better. Anyway, with the polygonal rifling a Glock uses, you tend to get higher velocity than with the traditional rifling. I really don't know, but my guess is that the slightly shorter barrel of the G21 probably gives as much, or more, velocity than a 5" 1911. I like the 1911 and Glock both.
I’ve heard that 1911s are notorious for causing random cuts. Does this ever happen to you?
@@godzillasimpson8357 You mean from sharp edges or something? I would say your cheaper, production model 1911's will be a little sharper and a bit more rough around the edges than your higher end 1911's. Fit and finish is one thing you usually get what you pay for.
Velocity of the 4.6 barrel in the G21 seem to be pretty on par with a 5 inch 1911. I think they used the polygonal rifling on the G21 to not only get a better gas seal on the bullet but to achieve the velocity without having to extend the barrel to 5 inches....Keeps it a touch shorter.
You guys in USA are so lucky to buy guns that easy.. Wish it was the same in Europe..
European politicians can buy guns on a whim without any trouble whatsoever...

i just got my first glock a week ago a glock 21 sf an i took a ccw class to day every thing you have talked about in your technique videos was on the test and i learned how to field strip it from your channel i felt a step ahead of every one keep up the good work

@556DOS45, Better keep your tin foil hat on, too; I think the aliens are in your back yard right now! :-) Guess somebody must have "cherry picked" the dozens of Glocks I've bought at gun shops over the decades, too, because they've been virtually flawless. If you hate Glocks and they don't work for you, fine, but most of the world gets "revolver-equal" reliability and great accuracy out of them, which is why they got MY attention back in the '80s and still dominate the market.

After watching all your G21 Gen4 and G41 videos in addition to my own range time, the 41 was the hands down winner, to me. While I wouldn't kick out the 21 Gen 4 if it was there for the taking, I am absolutely thrilled with the model 41.
Hickok 45 is one fella I'd like to have on my side in any kind of apocalypse.

@XKERNURSE , I like it. It's not rough enough for me; I generally still add the Talon "sandpaper-like" grips to even the Gen 4 Glocks.
I always check your videos to see if you have one on potential firearms I want to buy. This is another I'm checking out and boy you make it look fun. Thank you for doing what you love and doing your best to inform thousands and thousands of people daily. Don't ever change, Hickok.

@RockawayCCW, Could be for some people. For me, pulling the trigger is required quite often to confirm the gun is not loaded. Whether it's required in order to remove the slide is pretty irrelevant to me, but it does give people another reason to avoid Glocks if they don't like them to begin with. :-)

This is one of the best Glock/handgun videos you’ve ever done. Do all of the handgun videos like this 10 minutes of straight shooting then you could add 15 minutes of talking about the gun and comparing it to other guns like you normally do then end it by shooting for another two or three minutes.👍
In Australia this is a $1500 gun with mags coming in at about $60-$80 each. But it's definitely something that I will eventually invest in. Great videos mate. Love your range and your videos. Keep up the great work, I envy the heck out of ya!!!
Love my Glock 21 Gen 4. Always loads and fires and the recoil is greatly reduced.
Does it have a G21SF sized grip or is it a standard G21 sized grip? I'm guessing it's a G21SF sized grip if they have back straps... but I've not seen one in person yet.
I think all the new ones are in the sf design, I think?

I just picked up my Gen 4 21. I love it. It was a toss up between the 21 and the 20. The 10mm ammo cost is what made my final decision.

This my first handgun I purchased I ain't even took it out to the range yet and you're video got me in love with it
I've improved my shooting accuracy by watching hickok45 shoot with the camera just behind as shown at the beginning of the video. I've always had looser stance that over the years made for inconsistent muscle memory- if that translates here. Seeing hickok45 shoot with his head forward, almost resting in the right arm shoulder creating to me what feels like a stable body platform, engaging my line of sight directly to my shooting arm, hand, and trigger finger. Very loose example, but just watch the man shoot :) Thank you to hickok45 for improving my skill.
Man, this is my dream glock . I love it , I shoot it better than a 9mm.
I wasn't as impressed with the gun initially. Bought recently and cleaned/lubed out of the box had 3 FTE on 150 rounds. Cleaned again/lubed and brought it back last week and shot 200 rounds without a malfunction.

Bought this about 4 years ago and never thought to youtube it, it really is an accurate gun. Our range has 300 yard gong, I rarely hit it but its amazing how hard the bullets thump the dirt at that range.
just got one of these last week and love that it came with 3 13 round magazines.

awesome videos every time. i have always been a 1911 45 fan but have thought about maybe getting one of these 21s.i have not owned any glocks before.or even fired any of them but hear mostly only good things.i have a few ideas kicking around on what to get but this video helped alot.thanks

rambokicksass77 depends on your size, glock 21 is more for big people. i have very large hands and it's still a bit hard to get a good firm grip on it. i would recomend a glock 19 or 23 for a first handgun.

Great unique style shootings. Anywhere you aim, quick and fast, and sureball. I may pick that weaver style. I have this gun just newly bought weeks ago and it does fire relentlessly great and flawless for 200 rounds first time at the range. Glock 21 gen 4 is really a great pistol...👍

I bought one of these brand new in sept. 2016 when the gun store I go to had a deal with all new Glocks, buy the gun and get nice night/day sights added for an extra 45 bucks. I always wanted one for a range gun and the sights deal hooked me. Glad it did, I love that thing. Now I own 5 Glocks, all gen4, the 19,21,23,26 and 30. I own other brands too, but these Glocks man... they just work!

Currently carry a SIG-229 chambered in 9mm for work. Considering upgrading to the Glock 21 since I can. Thoughts?

+Matt Shelton You do realize 9mm penetrates more than 45 and even a 40 right? But yea I do like 9mm a lot for the lower recoil.
+matt bridges just because it penetrates more doesn't mean it's necessarily better. A 45 can be just as effective with hardball ammo because it is a slower round therefore, the round will expend it's energy more in a person, physics 101
A 9mm will do what a 45 can. If you look at ballistics testing a 9mm gold dot actually does more interal damage than a 45. No doubt that a 45 isnt any less lethal though. Any caliber will do the job.

its been shown time and time again and in competition 90% of the competitors prefer a 1911 or Beretta, they are far more accurate most of them do run a 9mm version if them both but the way they are set up both a 1911 and Beretta would dust anything glock makes.

lol look up competition Beretta's and even stock ones would be far more accurate than a glock, look up the percent of competitors that use glock and then look up the percent of the ones who shoot all steal guns, try learning something befor you try and talk,
Chaz Harrison Not gonna pretend like I know the numbers (or care). Given that there is an entire league for Glocks only, which Beretta does not have, I fail to see how it's possible it can compete in sheer numbers.
Accuracy? You may be right, stock vs. stock (even though the stock Beretta trigger is horrible). But, there is a guy @trueexodus on instagram that Vice grip bench tested a Glock 19 with stock barrel out to 50 yards. The result was about 3" with 115gr Perfecta ammo. By all practical applications, there will be zero difference to the end user. By the way, for $40 I have a Ghost Evo Elite Kit in my Glock 17 which I'm guessing would cost a couple hundred to get that type of quality trigger from a Beretta. We can go on and on. Don't know why you're harassing me about Beretta anyway. I simply stated Hickok hit the gong 12/13 times in his other video with the G21. That's about as good as I've ever seen him shoot with any pistol.

I just picked up my Gen 4 Glock 21 today and i love it...the new textured grip feels way better...i have shot the Gen 3 numerous times so i cant wait to break this one in...Great vod like always sir!!!

New to em. Thanks for the vid. So easy to shoot and clean. Got a carry few months ago and now another for the house one. Isn’t as bling as a Sig or Springfield but there is so much after market stuff and things you can 3 d print for them that it’s crazy .

I got the Glock 21 gen 4 and is awesome for self-defense and home defense but you can see that shooting long distance is tricky because of the heavy round ...overall I love it !!!
