Wooden Toy Underground Mine Truck + Plans

Scale a Matchbox truck up to a wooden toy truck. Plans included. Every child loves a truck. This was a first attempt at drawing up plans and making a truck from them. A bit longer than usual. I hope you find it informative.

Hi Patrick. The plans are included in the video complete with all measurements. You can screen dump from that or a simple way is to photograph the screen and then print it off. Cheers, Bruce.

Thanks Ray. I used a digital calliper to measure the components on the Matchbox truck then multiplied each by the same number. Can't remember the number now but it was to end up with 50 mm wheels. Very tedious process.

Fun build - I like it and will have to try it! Going through your diagram, I as not able to see the measurements for the box in the back. Also, what program did you use to draw this project?

Hi Jim. I used the free version of Google Sketchup as I am too much of a miser to pay for stuff. I am not sure what bit you are referring to as "the box in the back" but all measurements should be there somewhere. If not you just make up your own. Cheers, Bruce
