    I have one question for every Khalistani . Lahore which is currently in Pakistan was the capital of Sikh empire before britisher's invaded India . After partitan Lahore went to Pakistan along with majority of Punjab . Why are they only asking for a seperate Sikh state ( Khalistan ) from India only and why not from Pakistan .

      Back in colonial times, the Muslims were a separate administrative category, whereas Sikhs along with very many other religions were lumped in with Hindus.
      Therefore any successor state for which a Khalistani might agitate would implicitly be expected to be carved out of Republic of India, as Pakistan and Bangladesh all ready represent the successor states created for former British subjects administered separately due to their Muslim faith in the Colony of India.

      @@savemankind738 I suspect the justification is that since Sikhs in colonial times were within the administrative grouping which was assigned what is now Republic of India on decolonization, Republic of India is the country out from which Khalistanis who really want a Khalistan believe it would be appropriate to carve.

    In a way, it is true and very much legal ,
    The reason is India does not have dual citizenship.if I accept citizens of another country ,it means i automaticaly surrender my original citizenship.
    I cried the day, and I adopted another country's citizenship.
    At the same time it does not mean that we are going to break our relation with motherland.
    The people who do wrong things they will continue to do the same thing even if they live in their own country or live in another country.
    An honest and decent person will be sincere to adopted country as well as his / her own motherland.
    India should start DUEL CITIZEN SHIP .
    THIS WAY A CRIMINAL CAN BE APPREHENDED BY HIS NATIVE COUNTRY IF HE OR SHE IS DOING ILLEGAL OR HARMFUL THINGS TO HIS MOTHERLAND

    The same can be said in Canada that Canadian citizen will decide what happens in Canada . the idea of foreign interference within Canadian soil. Honestly you need to be a third generation citizens to actually call yourself a Canadian. There are too many outsiders coming to Canada and then say that they are Canadian but don't live by Christian values or don't celebrate Christian holidays. This is who we are.

      you should better get used to it. I am a Canadian and no way going to bow down to church. Ardent Hindu. When Europeans came to India they did not become Hindus or when they came to Canada they did not adopt native American culture. And there is nothing called Christian values that are unique to Christianity. There are only good human values which different religions have adopted and took it to masses. Nothing wrong in that, but values cannot be monopolized.

Canada is a Christian country with Christian values and holidays that everyone have to understand this is who we are. Islam has been doing worse around the world then anyone who is Christian.
