    good install video 🤘🏻
    ps. I see a lot of people complaining about the body not staying up. all I did to rectify this was tighten the screws on the mounting bracket just enough to hold the body upright. easy peasy

    Great tip!! I've got so many of those Servos from my poor attempt at RC Aircraft!! Good to know that they won't go to waste.

    Thanks for the details regarding dual rate adjustments - I had the Emax just installed, when I also noticed that steering to the left max caused some issues. At least now I know this is normal :-)

    Thanks for the video! I was trying to make another metal gear fit, this was a no brainer. So close to the original in size. I made a frame mounted steering setup, but this is the best solution.

    Great explanation. I'm new to these trucks and hear the factory servo has issues.

      The stock one works but if there is resistance in turning it can't force it like a better one can. Definitely worth the upgrade.

    Do you remember if the particular screw you used to secure the servo arm was not typical. I noticed on your video it was a philips head. There were 2 philips heads machine screws that came w/ the servo which don’t work. No screw I have saved would call ch any threads in the servo. Perhaps there is a defect?

    Why the analog and not the digital version?

    Is there any chance you are willing recreate and sell the spacers that you made for yours? I was thinking washers but I don't think I have any that small.

    Nice video! Going to use your solution. What other upgrades have you done on your SCX? It looks like it runs a lot better than a stock one

      I have the brass diff cover in the front and the brass wheel weights in the front wheels. Outside of that it's mainly stock in this video.

    What is that little screw driver you have that pinches your Allen wrench. That who be very handy instead of twisting an Allen key wrench.

      It is a 3d print from thingiverse. If you search scx24 you will find it

      @@BenTheFox150 thanks bud. And while I am talking to you how noticable is that new servo compared to the old underpowered one? I can barely turn my wheels in a tight area.

    • @BenTheFox150
      @BenTheFox150  Před 3 lety +2

      @@motododo4626 its definitely noticeable. I can lift the whole vehicle with turning the wheels now. And they are no longer easily turntable by hard due to how strong the servo is.

      @@BenTheFox150 awesome bud thanks. The only difference I may go with is the digital version the MDII versus the MAII. I know they make alot of noise but the get like 30x the data signal and are less prone to burn out. Thanks for the video and the info bud definitely ordering me a new servo hahaha.

    I completely the installation of my new EMax ES08MA II Servo. It turn out it is defective. The arm cannot be attached to the servo w/ a screw. It won’t thread.
    Does AMYONE know of a clamping servo that would work? As in the video, I used a trimmed part of the 4 armed servo & of course it fits fine.
    I have been back & forth w/ AMain.
    Don’t think they have anything like that.

    Well, I ordered & received the EMAX servo & I also bought the tray. Your video got me through despite repeated screw ups on my part.
    It’s done, sort of...you gotta help me. I cannot find a screw, any screw the will thread into the servo to secure the horn???? I know it doesn’t make sense. If there was a “trick” to it, I am sure you would have mentioned it.
    I hope ti hear back soon, please.
    Thanks again!

    • @BenTheFox150
      @BenTheFox150  Před 3 lety

      I believe the servo came with it own horns and screws. I just trimmed one of those horns and used the screws it came with

    • @josephmorelli3191

      Ben Fox it definitely did.. in your video, I noticed a Philips head. There were 2 machine screws that were Philips heads. The wouldn’t fit. I was afraid to force it. There were several different length screws that would thread. I just turned & turned. I know it sounds ridiculous, but nothing in the box or anything I had would thread.
      Thanks for getting back to me.
      I manage to screw up everything the first time around. If you think of anything please let me know.

    • @josephmorelli3191
      @josephmorelli3191 Před 3 lety

      Ben Fox what the heck could I have done wrong? Nothing would thread? Everything I do gets screwed up.
