  • Extreme Experience... Nola New Orleans Louisiana. Done on May 5th 2017. I had a lot of fun. I raced the Lamborghini Huracan around the Nola Race way. Track distance was 1.8 miles with the 3200ft straight.

This guy REALLY is a fantastic instructor though. Have had him before. Do track days as well on occasion but he is one of their better instructors. Had him at Bowling Green at the track...

Do they ever give you a lap where they aren't talking the entire time?

Not doing ANY 'trail-braking' into the curves..? Trail-braking keeps the front tires pressed hard to the pavement for turn-in ... and GRADUALLY releasing the brakes AS you smoothly roll on the throttle as you pass the apex [yellow or green cone] as the car moves out to the second orange cone... Should be at full throttle BEFORE the car is fully straight. [Or fully at whatever amount you are going to accelerate for the situation,]
I guess this method is okay for beginners... I just hope it doesn't stick in their minds as "THE" way to drive thru a corner 'like a Pro" ...
I HOPE that when I do my Track Day with Extreme, I will be able to DRIVE thru the curves, rather than 'coasting' to the apexes...

Instructors gauge your abilities and coach accordingly. XX is not a racing school, but an experience of what these cars are capable of. Trail braking is a rather advanced method for your average driver to understand and execute, given the limited time for pre-drive instruction. Getting your braking done before turning offers a much safer experience for all involved - the experience isn't pushing the car to 9 or 10/10ths, rather keeping it safe and closer to 6 - 7/10ths through the corners. Hopefully in the future there will be opportunity for more in class instruction and advanced driving technique coaching!
