Guy Fiery is a very smart businessman. This entire show makes him money while he gets to see a huge variety of different things being made getting ideas for his own restaurant menus.
Getting free food and trying to shove his clueless son down our throats is even higher on the list of perks.

I hate to break it to you, but there's not a single italian recipe in this video. Those sandwiches are as italian as jersey shore.
You cannot open a cafe in London. Correction. You CAN just not near the transit hub. So Kings Cross. When I worked there, I'm a northerner so Bacon Cob was my start to the day. I skipped breakfast and had 2-3 hours to kill so I wandered.

Those "cabacoll" (jesus fuck that's one of the most annoying things in the world)/salami/prahshoot (other extremely annoying thing)/concrete chips/pepper jack cheese/rat turds rather than prahshoot/salami/mold from the wall/engine oil concoctions you guys scarf down day in and day out, have nothing italian in them. We simply don't eat crap like that in Italy. We don't mix cold cuts; doing so is the culinary equivalent of pissing on your grand father's grave. At most we do one cold cut and cheese; maybe add some mushrooms or giardiniera. That's it. Anything other than that and above all those monstrosities y'all stuff your faces with, are simply not italian. As simple as that. Before you start a pissing contest, I am italian. Born, raised and still living in Italy. Not some fifth generation american with a washed out hint of Italy in their ancestry and an italian last name. I know what I'm talking about. I live it every day. I can clearly tell the same doesn't apply to you.

Leave it to 'muricans to mix cold cuts in a sandwich so one doesn't know what the hell each ingredient tastes like. I shouldn't be surprised though, y'all put pineapple on pizza and drink cappuccino after meals. Might as well use turds as chocolate spread, you can't tell the difference anyways.

I agree. Salami needs to be sliced thinly not in chunks, as do the rest of meats. The mix of meats and sausages on one sandwich made me nauseaus. Italy would never ever, ever make such food.

I love that american italians pay tribute and make amazing sandwiches, but i feel the need for internet attention might have overstepped the line where their thirst for clout has them way out of line? Including the people interviewed coming off as they are experts because they learned to pronounce lunch meats...am i wrong??
