    Can we not overlook the comment of "flavour jets" as your taste buds. Absolute beuty. The fact the dude seasons everything he makes, really makes the final product that much better.

    A simple thing that most people may not have noticed is the mayo in the butter. When Bon Appetit was relevant, at the beginning of COV19 and before they imploded, the test kitchen did a piece from each of the chefs home about their favorite grilled cheese. Almost ALL of them used mayo instead of butter in the bread. They swear it gives a crunchiness that takes the GC to a whole new level. I prefer butter as I like the flavour (yes that's how you spell it outside USA)!

    Lol I love that Americans use the word 'gourmet' for about everything, while in my country the only food that uses the word 'gourmet' is catfood... High quality food is called ...good food

      ​@@jolliv Gourmet is a Purina brand, similar to Fancy Feast. Of course, fine dining is called gourmet in the Netherlands too, but Mc Fireballs is probably just not familiar with it since fine dining doesn't run ads on TLC.

      @@daan7004 fine dining isn't called 'gourmet' here, it's called fine dining or just going to dinner. 'Gourmetten' is something totally different and we do this exclusively at christmas. I don't know what sheithole you live , but why would a restaurant have commercials on tv? They don't,not a quality restaurant, ... yes D S his favourite 'restaurant' McDonald's makes ads.       It has many components: pulled pork, mac n cheese, caramelized onions and herbs. If you know how to compute its costing you'll understand why.

    To be honest, you put "European" butter on that shit, and cheddar.. I don't mind cheddar, hell i like it cooled. But damn, you use cheddar for melting!?!?! Use any European cheese on any of the grilled cheeses and it would've been 100x better!

      Nah. Cheddar has a strong taste that just works for grilled cheese, I grew up eating cheddar on any kind of cheese sandwich

      No. That's not how chef's cook. You usually don't use salt as much throughout the dish and at the end you can always correct the amount of salt.

      @@snowdjagha that not what happens re puts a pinch of salt in each step but like for the mushrooms it’s to draw out moisture and the salt with evaporate that why he adds a bit of salt, if it was too salty people wouldn’t be eating there. And that how all chefs cook they salt everything and it’s never to salty
