4:03 QUADRATEC !!! YOU NEED TO TELL AUTOMATIC OWNERS THAT THEY MAY NEED AN ADAPTER TO FIT THEIR TRANSMISSION LINES FOR THIS THE 'EXACT FIT' GRIFFIN RADIATOR!!!! Kinda sucks when you are in the middle of the swap and you realize you are dead in the water because the fittings don't swap over. How am I supposed to get to the parts store and pray they have what I need without a working vehicle?!?! Not COOL QUADRATEC! not cool... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE update the your website and this video, it may work with earlier TJs but not my 2004.
Bought this radiator from Quadratec to install into my automatic 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ 4.0L. However, the stock transmission fittings do not fit into this radiator. Are their adapters or Griffin fittings for this radiator? Quadratec has an adapter on their website but doesn’t state it works with this radiator and my Jeep.
Can't believe what they want for these now days, forget it, but great video. I wish I had a nickel for every time you said " go ahead and" LOL? All in fun buddy.
Ummm … @5:29 - if that much coolant is in the funnel, and it’s bubbling - how is it going to go into the radiator if the coolant in the funnel means it’s more than full already ? And, should we change the thermostat as well at this point - to have both NEW parts ?? Sorry I’m a Noobie. Lol
You say this radiator has 25% more cooling capacity but you don't explain where and why. Is this a four core radiator versus a 3 core or is the volume of the radiator itself bigger?
My 06 wrangler looks like it has compression fittings on the ends of the transmission cooling lines. Do you just cut and replace these with clamps or is there a way to get them off without cutting?
They have one for a manual transmission as well! www.quadratec.com/p/griffin-radiator-thermal-products/exactfit-series-aluminum-radiator-jeep-wrangler-yj-tj?
Same question 😩 .. Great video. The only one I found that DIRECTLY addressed those two blasted hoses at the bottom lol. All videos never specifically say if the manual ones need to be connected or not. The provided link shows a radiator WITHOUT those two outlets at the bottom. So I’m going to assume that if for manual we just leave those outlets capped if purchased a radiator with them.
@@brycemaggio6144 I ended up going the turbo route, my fuel system is ready, got the rest of my parts, just need to put the rest together and do some tuning.
Great video. Changed my radiator in about 30 minutes.
And you saved about $350.00 yourself, congrats !
Any drop in temperature?
Wow , very well explained, thank you so much for sharing 🤚

My Griffin radiator sprung a leak in a little over 2 years. They wouldn’t help me. Never again!!!
What size transmission line fittings are those. I just pulled my old radiator out and my lines on my 06 are different.
I have a manual. Do I need special plugs for the automatic fittings?

I’m in the same boat, just pulled the radiator and realized I don’t have the correct fittings, mines an 06

Go ahead and leave a comment below! Thanks!
@@Quadratec OK, I went ahead and did!
What should I use to block off the transmission plugs on the radiator since mines a straight shift

Which years have the quick connect fitting?
eh I hate those hose clamps you used on the coolant lines. They will fail
what happens if i have a manual transmission? Do those ports get plugged up or what?

Will it fit and XJ?
25% more coolant, eh? Might this work sufficiently with a V8 swapped TJ then?🤔
Considering that most V8s are going to need the inlet and outlet on the opposite side of the 4.0 I would say no.
GenRight makes a radiator that fits wranglers, with properly placed inlet/outlet for GM V8’s
