I agree. I say I got lucky that this phone came out at the time I needed a new one. So far one of the best purchase. And true that this series,if not 8, is the best opt from OnePlus so far with everything it has to offer.
I also have this phone the only downside after a few years of use is the screen burn in from the tabs at the top from the icons

True the 1+ 7 pro was their peak, they did okay with the 8 but I feel 7 era is slightly higher simply because of the price difference. After 1+ 8 they just went straight downhill. A truly sad time

@@autofocusphotos tbh if you really want it I'd say go for it. Just keep in mind it won't get any more software updates. The 8 pro can still last for a little while. It's better to move to better options like the pixel. I did buy the 8 pro after I made this comment for a little under £ 200 and I'm loving it too much that I barely use my 13 pro anymore. It's a really good phone

Software Support = Oneplus officially ended the support for the OP7 series, So you will not get any software updates from now on. (Jan 2023)
( I use custom ROMs as a daily driver on my device, so I'm not too worried about the software support)

Just laggy when you use it for a week, returned mine. The build quality looks cheap. One thing about iPhone is they last for 4 years, I don't see this lasting that long.

Looking back at this phone it was literally the best phone I ever used. I’m now using the iPhone 12 Pro Max and I really like it but I have to say the OnePlus 7 Pro was the best overall experience I had so far.

Update #2: Bought the OP7 Pro at launch. Still as good as new. Minor scratches on the screen, but nothing that's not from normal use. Camera is much better now, on par with most flagships. Pop up still works, uses it on a daily basis. Battery is still good, but it might have gotten a bit worse (now I get to 20-25% at the end of the day, before I used to get to 30-35%). Could be placebo. Would still recommend buying the OnePlus 7 Pro, especially if it's on sale.

It kills the battery anyways. 90 Hz is really not needed unless your gaming. I have a 144 Hz monitor on my desktop and they are useless when scrolling on Facebook or browsing.

I dont mind galaxy phone with $1000. Because at lest they put everything in their phone. Heart beat sensor, foot step counter, tv remote, probably best display on the market, water cooling, Samsung pay, headphone jack, 100+ camera and software features........ At lest it justifies the cost.
On the other hand iPhone cost $1000 but doesnt really bring much to the table. They at lest used to have the best camera in the market. But pixel, and huawei does that better now.

How on earth is this the fifth reply after almost two and a half years?
It's June 13th 2023 and I'm still rocking my OnePlus 7 Pro nebula blue! By far the best Mart phone I've ever owned I've had this phone for over 3 years still going strong even though I've dropped this phone at least over a hundred times in parking lots on gravel etc and also have had plenty of water exposure under under the water pool exposure and like I said still going strong still SUPER FAST! Oh and the motorized selfie still works just like brand new and still is fun to show to people/ at parties etc 😁
to this day im using it and still as fast and snappy like out of the box , i love this fone ... my fone just had a slightly loosed port after 4 years , no damages at all amazing 🙌🏼💪🏼

I'm just over 2 years with mine. Camera still works great! If you read reviews on the pop-up cam (at least when I researched it), the majority of users had no problems!
Not quite sure why these companies didn't try doing more with these pop-up front cameras. Yeah from a durability standpoint I suppose it creates some issues but it just seems like such a good solution over them trying to push the camera under the display even to this day.
100% agree, under screen cameras kind of just straight up suck right now, I really think OnePlus should’ve stuck to the pop up camera. Like you said durability might be a concern, but plenty of people (including myself up until recently) have been using the 7 Pro for years with no issues, so I think the trade off is worth it. If the Redmagic 8 Pro had a pop up instead of a fuzzy under screen camera I’d probably have bought it tbh 🤷♀️
Durability is not an issue I have been using one plus 7 pro for 4 years now. Works flawlessly, never ever did I face any issue and I am pretty sure it will work for 2 more years

What happened
@@AshikJonathan switched to Pixel lol. The OS was not good as Android 10. Android 11 was decent and it was still Oxygenos but Android 10's Oxygenos was Oneplus OS peak. Oneplus was also gonna stop updating the phone cause they had only 3 years of updates back then.

I have the OP6t and the battery life is insane. The phone takes roughly 1 hour to fully charge and with that charge I get 1.5 days of usage at my rate. I normally finish a day with 40% charge left

One plus 7 pro still til this day, is the nicest looking android phone of all time.

@@Tedbusterproductions I just got a 1+ 7 pro and I can also say the camera quality is better than expected. At this point most flagship phone cameras are pretty similar with their quality. The 1+ does sorta lack in it's night time photography compared to other phones I find

@@Tedbusterproductions Superior in most ways, except for a few. Apple has better support (by far). Samsung has some nice features and also design (maybe?) and Pixel has slightly better camera (unless you install GCam apk on OnePlus, then it's about the same).
