THANKS FOR WATCHING FRIENDS!
The more you watch, the more I’ll make videos.
I do not own rights to video
Hope you guys had an INCREDIBLE time😂❤️
I was in love with this band and this song when I was in high school in the 70’s. I had a rock band that played some Zeppelin songs. I used to try to get adults into this music when I was 16 years old in 1977. It still blows me away and am thrilled you have discovered it.
The sound you heard when you said “maybe the piano” was a Mellotron. It was an instrument that used physical tapes of other instruments and played them back with a keyboard. The first “sampler”, which was also used to play the flute sound in “Stairway to Heaven”.
Great channel btw.
You are one of my favorite reaction channels songs you should react to next is MGK the return, 100 words and running and Wild Boy there are more MGK songs you should react to but you should definitely react to those three songs.
Are you doing that girl from SCOOBY DOO..... Check out Kashmir, it is amazing... Or Dazed and Confused.....
Always!! Love your reactions!
Arguably the best rock band ever and certainly the best drummer ever john Bonham.
It’s Led Zeppelin, what did you expect? Arguably the best rock ‘n’ roll bands ever
Page’s atmospheric guitar work live here is second to none!
He is a amazing artist, musician and creative genius.
"Upon us all, a little rain must fall." We girls had HUGE crushes on Robert Plant and Jimmy Page back in the day, LOL! Robert Plant just sounds like a British dude talking. The violin sound comes from the keyboard, played by John Paul Jones, along with the bass. He is multi-talented.
My mother's favorite song, all the way up till she passed at 89 years of age..
Very beautiful song
Wow! Really? That’s kind of unusual for someone of her age. Most of the original Zep fans are in their 60’s or early 70’s now.
Your mom was a cool chickie!
@@MsAppassionata yup,she started listening to zeppelin in the mid 70's when my older brother's started listening to them in their room.she passed away 5yrs ago,and she still liked to listen all the way up till she passed
@@robertmckinnon7245 Your mom was definitely a cool, open minded person then. Not many people from her generation liked that type of music.
Jimmy Page...best guitarist ever...JPJ plays keyboards and bass with his feet. The keyboard sounds like the violin.
I have been stuck on led zeppelin for 40 years and I cannot store they truly are the definition of rock and roll led zeppelin masters of rock and roll
No love for John Paul Jones? Not only is he playing the Mellotron keyboard, he's playing the bass parts on pedals with his feet.
The Geddy Lee of Zepp. He deserves more credit! Yes.
She'll pick it up on her 4th or 35th listen :) Every time is a new experience witht them, am I right...
Who the heck said such a thing ? JPJ is the band !!!
He played it on a Mellotron from '73 to '75 when playing it live..After that he used a synth...He got roundly critiqued for his use (or misuse; I think it sounds good) of the Mellotron. Evidently not an easily understood instrument. The inner workings are very strange, to say the least...It certainly is different in every aspect, but amazing when used right...Again, it sounds good to me, here...Hard to knock JPJ's musicianship, any time.
.
shut up already w/ JPJ... he's called underrated, etc., in EVERY Zep video.
“Upon us all, a little rain must fall”
From whispers to thunder, Zeppelin does it all.
I can NEVER hear that line without thinking of all the rain that was to fall on Robert over the next few years.
If you haven't noticed each one of the members in this group are Master's of their Instruments and more!!!EACH ONE OF THEM!!!!!!!
Rock Gods...All of them. Gifts to humanity.
The greatest voice on rock and roll history Robert plant
"I don't even know what kind of music this is. It defies classification. There's such tasteful, beautiful detail in the guitar, and a triumphant feel when the drums come in - it's sad and moody and strong, all at the same time. I could listen to this song all day. That would be a good day." - Rick Rubin
Robert is magical musical wonder❤❤❤
The lady who made the super suits in the Incredibles? Peace
Plant and Ozzy have that voice that will never be copied!! Very unique voices!!
They are the best!100yrs from now they will still be saying there one of the best.
Stevie Ray Vaughan's performance of 'Texas Flood' live will blow your mind. I won't give a clue so you can experience it!
Rest in power Stevie Ray.
One day Jimmy Page's friend GEORGE HARRISON was giving him a little s**t that Zeppelin didn't have any ballads, so Page went away and came back with this little gem. True story.
Not quite true. George said that to John Bonham not Jimmy.
@@MsAppassionata Darn it! You are right. I got mixed up.
@@johnsample5628 Lol. That’s ok. No biggie.
Robert's speaking voice is quite unique, with a soothing tone. His singing voice at the time of this recording was somewhat strained. Still a beautiful rendition of an excellent tune.
I know cause I was there, Earl's Court. Right at back, but that was okay because you could hear everything. Hey Thelma - where's Scooby? i was 16 just and went with my brother. (also had my first drink and spliff) - don't tell mum ...lol. You won't feel sleepy at the end. They had very profound effect on many of the ladies in the audience, shall we say. We left and after a few days later when our hearing came back, we decided to form a band. We learnt every song they did in months. The melotron gives the string effect. Try some Prog next. The Immigrant Song, which you'll know when you hear it from movies, Dazed & Confused, Since I've been loving you, live from MSG. Achilles Last Stand. I now teach music and use Zeppelin as a case for power and synchronicity.
Robert's voice is not only for singing, It is an actual Instrument!
Very glad to know younger and even persons of color and very pretty too who are discovering Zeppelins magical tunes! I love watching your reaction!!
They are definition of rock and roll know one can match led zeppelin masters of rock and roll
He talks like he sings. It is pure poetry and it is fun to hear him tell stories of the old days. He is in his 70’s now and still touring. He now does Blue Grass music with an artist name Alison Krauss. They are awesome together. Their latest album is called raise the roof. Also Robert has a podcast called Digging Deep season 5 just started up again. I would kill to play like Jimmy😎
❤❤❤Robert ❤❤❤
"It is the springtime of my loving". "So little warmth - I've felt before". "You are the sunlight in my growing".
You can actually tell Robert is having a tough night in this version. We all have them, but imagine putting out this level of energy night after night.
The version from the MSG recording used in the Song Remains the Same theater release catches Robert at his very best and he takes this song to unprecedented levels.
The violin sound is John Paul Jones playing a Mellotron, an early synth like instrument. Technically its not a synth but im not going to go into the details, there are CZcams videos explaining about them.
Led Zeppelin is the greatest band ever. Normally that would be an exaggeration, but in this case, it’s pretty close to a fact for the world. Each member of the band is considered one of the best ever in their respective role, if not best. There is a reason they are legendary
The GOATS OF GOATS!!!!! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👏🔥🔥🔥🔥 I don’t know what movie character you are...but you’re adorable! 😘
Helene here: His speaking voice is beautiful. Over the past year, once I discovered the wealth of them on CZcams, I’ve listened to dozens of interviews with him...because I too find his voice calming and lovely. And we are not alone. It’s probably a gender thing, but you can see so many comments on Zeppelin platforms about Robert’s speaking voice. For your own pleasure, I would suggest that you just put Robert Plant interview in CZcams.....you will get dozens......from the early days of 1970 or so...to present day. He is now 72, but his voice is still...........so lovely. Plus, he’s a great storyteller and a font of knowledge about music....blues, bluegrass, folk, North African and Middle Eastern......Niah, He has his own podcast calling Digging Deep, where he talks about the songs he has written and performed over his more than 50 year career. Since you love his voice, for your own personal journey, don’t forget that he has had a 40 year solo career after Zeppelin died. Look up on CZcams the song Big Log....It was the first big success he had after he went out on his own..1982 I think......great song. Jimmy has a nice speaking voice as well....but only Robert’s can relax me so much it can help me sleep! Here is a link to a 1975 clip of Robert doing an interview. There are snippets of several songs included in the background, Stairway and a couple of others you haven’t reviewed, but not enough to “ruin” a future reaction at all, or I wouldn’t send it to you. Note the feather in his hair. Nice touch. The feather was Robert’s symbol. (As you get into Zeppelin more, you will discover that on Zeppelin IV, each band member developed a symbol for themselves. Robert, as the writer of the most of the lyrics, picked a feather) Anyway, here is a link to the interview. I hope that you follow it into your very own rabbit hole of listening to his lovely speaking voice. czcams.com/video/1_Q-npi8EE8/video.html
Helene - you always have great stuff to say!!
@@susanpalmer8931 Why.....THANK YOU, Susan! I take it you’ve come across my comments on other channels? I’ll look for you if you tell me the channels you sub to.....Sometimes I think I try people’s patience because I like to share too much.....but if someone expresses an interest, then I love to suggest things that I think will please them.
@@w.geoffreyspaulding6588 I understand completely. I'm always writing a novel in the comments. I hope that it's helpful.
This is my favorite or at least, depending on my mood, top three Led Zeppelin songs.
One of my favorite songs. I did have an INCREDIBLE time. Thanks!
It's REALLY NICE TO SEE YOU FALLING UNDER THE SPELL OF LED ZEPPLIN
I CAN DEFINETLY SEE YOU ARE HOOKED IN SO MANY WAYS
I am really enjoying watching you discover and enjoy led zep and Queen. I heard led zep from my brother's bedroom for years when I was young but I never really listened properly until i was older and now I love it too
In this genre, I think that it would be hard to argue that each member of this band isn't a top 1, 2 or maybe 3 greatest of all time in their respective disciplines. If so, I can't think of a single other band that can say the same.
This is my fav Zeppelin song ❤️
This is what can happen when your bassist is also your keyboardist, mandolinist and keeping the whole thing tight while your soloists rock
this is an incredible song for driving late at night. or rainy days obviously.
This is a musical journey they take you on
Awesome! You do the best reactions to Zeppelin! You truly get them! It's great seeing somebody listening to Zep for the first time that truly understands them! So cool!!
Oh, and I'll guess Harry Potter!
Having a crush on every member of Led Zeppelin is perfectly normal. Every man and woman feels it too. Haha
Not hard to be crushing on these guys they definitely set the bar For quality for all time
In my time of dying by led zeppelin listen to this
I highly recommend hearing the studio versions of these masterworks for sound quality, additionally in-studio, they can add multi-layered tracks that are insane and will blow your mind... IMHO of course. The violin is John Paul Jones on the keyboard.
P.S. I met Robert Plant and Phil Collins at a doctor's office in Dallas Texas back in .... i think it was probably 198...4-ish? They were both totally friendly and polite. I am glad to see you enjoying. Cheers!
If you want the pristine greatness of this band I would suggest you do studio versions to get the experience of hearing what we all heard before we could ever hear it live with a
Tour. The live versions are unique improvisations of the songs, each version it's own Masterpiece. The recorded version will give you the original sound and vibe, and continuity
through the tune, and then when you see the live versions you can know where all the changes, and embellishments are. If you want the full force Zep I would say that
The Lemon Song, and Heartbreaker/Livin Lovin Maid should sufficiently Melt You
Every woman had crush on Robert Plant (singer). Dude was the 1st rock star with swag! 😂
I will most definitely second that!🤟😜
As you can most likely tell, Robert Plant, as a lyricist is extremely inventive. When he does interviews he is very funny, and flirty as well as Intelligent.
Love this one to death.
The greatest band in the history of rock and roll know one can transition like led zeppelin case dismissed the greatest voice in rock and roll history time to admit this haters
Don't worry, girl, a crush of any size on one or several Zep members is in no way an unique phenomenon. 😁 That was 100% part of their whole legend status.
I might recommend another Earl's Court performance, 'Kashmir', if you want to hear Robert talk for a bit. He had a very pleasant deep timbre and definitely pretty unique tone. The song itself is *incredible* -- definitely one of their best.
You can't blame anybody for having a crush on these fellas. They're extremely not my type, but I certainly fell in love with the band and the music. And Jimmy's guitars... Oh mama.
The violin/orchestral sound you hear is played on a mellotron by the bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones.
Loving your vids. Few things. The guitar player is Jimmy Page, he wrote most songs and was basically the brains behind the band. Robert Plant is vocals, wrote his own lyrics. Songs to react to..... 1) in my time of dying in earls court, do that like NOW. 2) Every song is good. But I would love more acoustic songs, sets them apart from the other bands. “Tangerine” “Bron-yar-stomp” “hey hey what can I do”. All would get the Zep base watching and hopefully people new to their music
Please also do "In My Time Of Dying" from the same venue, same year (Earls Court, 1975) and check out an early performance (Danmark 1969). Thanks so much!
Since you want to hear Robert Plants talking voice check out this performance of In My Time of Dying. He speaks a little bit at the beginning of it. czcams.com/video/CyyT8dgaVY8/video.html
Over the hill and far away, Down by the Seaside, 10 years gone, nobody fault but mine, any Song Physical Graffiti!! House of the holy!! My fav 2 bands are Led Zeppelin then Black Sabbath. But im glad you like Zep!! John "Bonzo" Bonham died at a young age and he is consider one of the best of all time and is the best in my opinion!!
Edna!!😊🖤
I had an incredible time!
You should listen to them with headphones in. You catch the depth of their music
The GOATS...THERE WILL NEVE BE ANOTHER ZEP! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Do yourself a favor. There is a Kennedy Center Honors tribute to Led Zeppelin. The whole thing is about 22 minutes long, but will give you some much needed background on the band. It ends with Ann & Nancy Wilson of heart singing Stairway to heaven as the 3 remaining members of Zep watch. Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones. Plus the son of their deceased drummer is the drummer for Stairway. He wears his dads hat in tribute. RIP John Bonham.
The mighty LED
Rock/rock and roll/ acid rock/ heavy metal/ progressive rock/blues/soul/pop/funky/middle eadtern/love songs/country/ disco/
The mighty zep
If they get together one more time they will do rap
You're keeping me up way past bedtime to check out all these Zeppelin reactions LOL
Robert plants voice is beautiful and his talking voice is to he has a English accent
Loved it! One of my favorite songs. Cool that I look listen to it with you!
The keyboard is your violin. Those glasses suit you in an odd way. In a perfect world, you would have been in the front row of that show, and he would have pulled you up on stage and sung this song directly to you while looking at you. Of course the years don't mesh so this is not that perfect world. Did you ever see Heart doing a cover of Stairway To Heaven live? You should check that out if you haven't seen it, it is nothing short of amazing, and that is coming from a long time Led Zeppelin fan. So you have a crush on every member of the band.... How cool is that!! Thanks for this, take care and stay safe.
I try not to be pushy and tell reactors what to watch.....
but I gotta agree with you on Heart's tribute to Led Zeppelin at The Kennedy Center..... my all-time fav cover ever..... and such a ridiculously stacked celebrity filled crowd huh.
seeing Robert Plant well up with tears always gets me too..... but my fav part is seeing Jimmy Page mouthing the words, "nice band" and later pumping his fist "hell yeah".
not a bad reaction to a song done by a "chick band" huh.
Niah, just for pleasure watch Robert Plant and Jimmy Page The Rain Song Live. Jimmy is on the acoustic guitar. Robert singing. Great back up music and singers. Very pretty.
Great reaction, I'm a huge Zeppelin fan ,love that you're doing led Zeppelin ,how about doing the live version of 'In My Time of Dying" from the Earl's Court 1975 concert
Here is a link to In My Time of Dying at Earl's Court, you can hear Robert speak a little bit as he introduces the song czcams.com/video/QuABqrvhLf0/video.html
Here is something U need to do, (2 things actually); 1- watch the video of Led Zeppelin receiving
their Kennedy Awards from the Kennedy Center; 2- watch & react to Heart doing "Stairway to
Heaven" in front of Led Zeppelin at the Kennedy Center.. ♠W.G.

My absolute favourite Zeppelin song is: What is and What Should Never Be.
You can't go wrong with any Led Zeppelin though.
Again ANOTHER GREAT reaction. Thanks, thanks, thanks, This is one of my favorite LZ songs - definitely can take you somewhere away from the here and now. I have a real crush on all of them too. . . . .PROUDLY, I might add. The violin sound is coming from John Paul Jones (bassist/keyboardist) - for this 1975 concert it was played on something called a Mellotron - it's an electronic keyboard-like instrument that plays certain looped sounds - it's kinda like the ancestor of sampling today. LZ uses the Mellotron a lot. And the ending - Jimmy can do ANYTHING!!! Absolutely agree about Robert's voice and it is identifiable to me anytime anywhere. Helene, one of your commenters below, gave a great description of Robert and his voice. His interviews along with Jimmy's are all over youtube and one or 2 from JPJ, the bassist/keyboardist. Robert's had a great solo career after LZ and has given us more fabulous music. He and Jimmy Page toured in the 90s with Page and Plant No Quarter - "Unledded" with an live album of the same name. Original stuff plus they reworked many of LZ's songs in an acoustic way- so many of the performances as incredibly beautiful the incorporate orchestral strings and Middle Eastern musicians into many of the songs. Really wonderful. There’s so much great music from them. Peace!
I used to work at a recording studio in Nashville when he was there one time and he came up and spoke to me alone in a room! Best moment of my life haha
Led Zeppelins record deal was unpressidented in that they had complete creative freedom to do exactly what they wanted
....a result of Jimmy Page's brilliance. He self financed the recording of the first album, and had the master tapes finished before signing a record deal. He leveraged his reputation as a Yardbird and the fact that the album was already recorded against his insistence that Zep always have creative control of everything from music to album covers to no singles. Sheer brilliance.
@@tektoniks_architects and they hired the best manager to allow them to concentrate solely on the music.
Who in the band wrote these beautiful lyrics? Absolutely beautiful song. Love song. I become emotional. This,to me touches a " chord" for which I cannot describe.❤❤❤

Hello Edna! Cute look. I love this song with my entire being - its beauty makes me cry almost...every...damn...time. Jimmy Page (the guitarist) wrote this song after he heard a comment by George Harrison (one of the Beatles) that Zeppelin never wrote any ballads. As someone else quoted, it is sad, moody, and strong all at the same time. Their music paints a sonic landscape of emotion. Some songs kick in the door, slap you upside the head and carry you off with brute force. Some are an invitation to a rollicking good time, others plumb melancholia that you didn't even realize you needed to express. Some are sensually seductive with droplets of dark danger. Some elevate you almost to a higher consciousness. Whatever emotion they inspire in you, each song is its own universe ready for exploration - if you dare. As one of their lyrics say "Let the music be your Master. Will you heed the Master's call?"
Jimmy played some songs using a violin bow. It is on some live videos on here too... It's amazing all four of them met. John the drummer made their songs harder than most people think. He's one of the best...
Listened to this music all my life and it never gets old. By the way Velma in Scooby Doo.
Only thing I want to say is that you look amazing!
Please react to any song from the performance at Royal Albert Hall 1970. YOU WILL LOVE ANY OF THEM WITH ROBERTS VOICE! Please upvote guys and girls!
listen to some of their stuff from 1969 if you really wanna hear the power of his voice
Love your moment ... please consider reacting to Dazed and Confused ... the song off their debut album, there are some epic live versions
Great reaction! You should try out their earliest tv appearance. Very good quality even by todays standards. Try out How Many More Times Danmarks 1969
This song was my favorite part of LZep's movie "The Song Remains the Same"
You’re under the Zeppelin spell now. You should listen to Kashmir next. I think the band thought it was their best. But it’s hard to go wrong.
My first thought? "You're a wizard, Niah" 😂
