When Buff said his friend tattooed him with some janky ass setup, I was expecting the worst shit ever, so I was surprised how decent it looked.

I was very impressed, the lettering was very elegant and badass.
It was also freestyle! He def passed before his time, imagine all the art he would create with a professional set up and a bit of experience.

I am going to get a tattoo on my side to represent me surviving brain cancer. It is going to be a brain with a tennis ball inside (the size of my tumor) and a willow tree growing out the top since it has helped me be happier and be less depressed/suicidal.
It's incredible that you were able to fight it. Stay strong angel! How about a sizeable willow tree and you playing tennis underneath with someone you love?

Felix's church tattoo actually has a story. He told this during the Cold Ones podcast with Maxmoefoe. He was baptized in a church that looks almost like that but when he was in his teens, he saw something happening in church that questioned his faith in Christianity. The monster coming out of the church represents that. The heart tattoo and the eye tattoo has no story. Basically he heard a famous french underground tattooist was in London for a few days and he wanted his signature tattoos.

I love Felix’s church tattoo because as a fellow swede the classic Swedish church done by an artist know for monster tattoos mixed in a really cool way

Do I not deserve a really important tattoo to me because it'd be "annoying" for the person Im literally paying around 10x minimum wage. Also, Ken said that while having many popular video game characters on his arm... video game characters are designs by other artists...
@@ProblematicProductions what he is saying is not to bring a picture of a tattoo another artist has done and ask for the same exact tattoo. Also the characters on Ken's arm aren't done in the same exact design as the original art work.
they wont blatantly tell you to get out, theyll probably just say that theyll draw something that looks similar to it for you, not improvise. and on top of that, the way i see it, why would you want something that someone else has exactly. if i have art on me, i want it to be special, like i want this to be my tattoo, i dont want some tattoo that a thousand other people have

I'm getting tattoos on my thighs to cover up my self-harm scars to show the world that I overcome this addiction and everyone who struggles can too
I am more of an arm tat guy myself but interesting story
i tatted a cherry blossom tree on my arm scars and i plan to do stuff for my thighs too
I have a thigh tat to cover up some scars, it really helps
My next tattoo will be on my ankle where I have my scars. But I decided to not cover them up completely but accept that that time was a part of my story and the tattoo will represent that too.
Just in case someone will misunderstand me: I have absolutely nothing against covering up scars. I’m just dealing with them differently. What do you guys think of the idea?

i can understand that tattoo artists want to do "art" and put their own style to everywork but like... i prefer to draw my own tattoos and have that picture on me exactly as it looks. im an artist too and honestly i dont want the tattoo guy to ruin my design lol... sorry
but so far my tattoo guy never complained and just did what i wanted, so guess im lucky
I've never actually heard of any tattoo artist getting mad about that besides their are free range artists but tattoo artists are commissioned aka paid to draw a specific design
I know plenty of people who get their own designs on them :) their artists are chill with it
My artist (before he went MIA), I drew up my Assassins Creed one and basically said this is what i want on my neck but you do it the way you want, my spyro thigh tattoo i showed him a fan art (PG+ btw, dont google that shit) and said this is what i want and I want sparx with him. He added extra shit in there and made it look amazing... though shaving him every time I wear a dress is hella funny. He'd get more pissed off if the client moved around all the time, I'm like a log, I just take the pain and stay still lol.
I took it more as tattoo artists not comfortable with taking _other’s_ designs and reproducing them on someone’s body without permission. If the owner of the artwork (you) wants their own design then I don’t see why anyone could or should take issue with that.

I have an unfinished tatt on my under forearm. I really want to get it done, especially as a woman it looks gross, I had issues with the healing time with what was done. I don't want to say it was the tattooist fault but I'm too scared to go back. I have developed fibromyalgia which is a pain condition, so I need to find someone who will finish it and be mindful of my pain condition.
I also might have to transition it from colour to black n gray.

I was talking to a marines once. I saw on his arm, he had tattoos of 8 names. Im sure you can see were this is going. I asked him about it. And what he told me was so shocking and sad. They were the names of his fellow buddies in war that died. They were his buddies in his squad. That hit me hard.

Love every tattoo you have Ken. I grew up in a tattoo shop and have a huge appreciation of them because of it. Like you said, tats are for you and not others. I have a whole sleeve of Bioshock and I don't regret it one bit. Your tats are awesome btw, I love the mash up of Nintendo characters.

I’m more worried about titty peach
I’ve known for about 8 months that my next tattoo would be dedicated to my sweet dog, she was diagnosed with kidney disease and her days were numbered. A week after she passed I got an appointment with an apprentice, and she honestly made my tattoo PERFECT. It’s exactly what I wanted, and just everything I hoped it would be. It’s my favorite tattoo by far, and I just am so happy with it. It was such a good experience, the shop was so wonderful and the artists were great. And it’s done so well and right that it just reminds me of all my good memories with my baby.

Agreed, as an artist I want to draw my own tattoos, I want to be able to draw something and ask the artist to put it on me.

@@booboo4341 I know there's a process where you tell the artist what you have in mind and they draw some sketches and you give feedback on what you like and what you want changed until you get something you like. And it's important to look up the artist to see what they're art style is. That is fine but it shouldn't be frowned when I already have something I already want.
The issue is the idea of taking other people’s artwork/designs, not your own. Using people’s artwork can get messy sometimes, and some artists just wouldn’t want to reproduce someone else’s piece

Whenever I see a picture or something that is tattoo worthy to me, I bring it with me to my tattoo artist as the inspiration. If I have any specific input, I also make that noted to my artist and then let him draw a new piece of art just for me.
