Installed a Blue LED kit from the website in my 2006 Silverado and it worked flawless. Also audioxpress was super responsive with helping me get them installed, Highly recommend for anyone considering using them!
tks for that tip on how to remove those center slider controls, I'm sure I would have broken something trying to get them off, and wow, that pcb is rather complex and I suspect expensive.
Awesome video! Thanks for providing all the links to everything, no one ever does that
Can you show us the negative and positive on that panel
I need it too!!
Just ordered this kit in blue and I can't wait to get it!
Thanks!
I promptly destroyed my temperature sliders when I did mine. An alternative strategy is to cut the plastic knobs off and replace them with new ones. Car radio bulbs sells those too.
Which pins/wires did you provide power and ground to for bench testing?
Great video!
Need to put led lights on the dashboard , how much would it be 2005 Chevy avalanche
Where can I get the led kit from? Would like to do a/c controls, headlight controls, and door controls all in the blue led.
which power supply did you use for working on the less on the bench
Superb video.
Thank you sir very helpful 🙏
Most welcome
@@Car-Radio-Bulbs do you have links for everything you are using
My ac turned hot and I only got 5 of the lights to work ? What did I do wrong ?
Your perfect thanks
For anyone wondering the two in the middle are 12v 3mm lights, and the other six are 6v 5mm lights
Hi how much is it try to do my and now don’t work ac don’t work and is hot air in one side any cool In the ather side
side plus I try different bult side none of these work I don’t kno what I did wrong
Where did you purchase the circuit board holders etc? Really enjoyed the video.
He said Amazon
I got one similar at hobby lobby of all places
I have a 1995 S10 , do you know what size bulbs go in the climate control module and does it have a board like this one???
I'm sorry i don't know anything about that climate control.
How do you know which is negative and positive on circuit board when installing leds
I use a volt ohm meter and our kits come with directions that tell you what is positive and what is negative.
IF I SEND YOU MY CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT CAN YOU. REPLACE. THE LIGHTS ON IT FOR. A. PRICE?? YOU DO. A GOOD. JOB
Do you have a how to video on how to put LED bulbs in the newer GM climate control that has the push buttons rather than the dials and slider buttons?
No I don't.
Dude, your awesome.
Anyone know where to get replacement slide potentiometers for the hot/cold controls?
The junk yard is the only place I have been able find one that will work correctly.
Do Silverado 07-13! Please!!
What do you do for bulbs at the AC and Recirc switches? My AC switch bulb is burned out
Are you talking about the the light when you turn on your lights or the little yellow light that comes on when you push the button?
What solder are you using or if we try this ourselves, what solder should I buy?
This is what I use Kester 24-6337-8800 50 Activated Rosin Cored Wire Solder Roll, 245 No-Clean, 63/37 Alloy, 0.031" Diameter
I have a 2002 Trailblazer. It looks just like the panel you are working on in the video. Does this kit work with it?
Yes it will.
If I get this light kit does it come with the 6 blue 6mm and two white 3mm?
The kit comes with 6-5mm of whatever color you want and 2-3mm White led bulbs for the sliders.
on a few of the bulbs I could see that the long positive side was up ... so is it safe to assume that they all should go up?
No. Use a volt ohm meter to test.
@@Car-Radio-Bulbswhat a dog shit answer. It would take nothing to explain real quick
is it normal for all 8 bulbs to be burned out? none of the lights on mine are working and im wondering if maybe i have a different problem
It's possible you have another problem but it's not uncommon for all of the bulbs to burn out I see it all of the time.
Would you by chance sell a module that's already done with the white led's for a silverado? Also whats the turn around time if i were to send mine to you?
We do not but we can rebuild yours and you can find a link here carradiobulbs.com/store-4/2002-2009-trailblazer-and-envoy-manual-climate-control-led-upgrade-service/

The cluster upgrade is $59.99 and can be found here carradiobulbs.com/store-4/2003-to-2007-silverado-sierra-and-suvs-instrument-cluster-led-upgrade-service/
What would be an easy to make 12v tool to test these controllers in the vehicle at the salvage yard. I assume it would take a 12v battery tool to test it? Thanks
I think he had a dc power supply
At hime you can just use a power supply from like an old router look at the square part that plugs in the wall input will be 120v-240vAC and output should be 12v DC MINIMUM OF 1Amp cut the ends off and make the ends work for you
So if the manual slide levers come off there’s no putting them back on?
If you pulled it off the board it is more than likely broken and will have to be replaced. If you need it fixed we can do it for you. You can contact me here sales@carradiobulbs.com
Does anyone have the polarity guide for the circuit board????!!!
Hello would be nice if someone answer this question
How do you know which is negative and positive on the board
All of our kits come with directions on how to install them.
Do you still have these blue led bulbs I have a 2005 trailblazer will this kit work for my truck?
Yes we do and they can be found here carradiobulbs.com/store-4/2003-to-2007-chevy-silverado-tahoe-suburban-and-more-manual-climate-control-led-bulbs1/
Hello I like to know where you get that soldering gunfrom
I got it on Amazon it was around $300.
I apologize if you mentioned it, but do these dim like the factory incandescents?
Yes they will dim with the dimmer switch.

2020 Chevy express climate control. Are the bulbs replaceable?
I have no idea, I haven't worked on anything that new.
Replaced my bulbs with LEDs this past weekend. The only leds that light are the two middle ones for the slides and the top right one on the circuit board. My first attempt plugging them in, something was smoking due due a bad solder and shorted out. I have looked at everything and can’t seem to find the issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I wouldn't be able to tell you anything without seeing it. You can send it to me, and I might be able to fix it I have pretty good luck at fixing them.
@@Car-Radio-Bulbs how much would it cost for you to repair it and put the 360 white LEDs in it? Some of the copper wires are burnt up on the PCB
I did this with my 03 impala and when my climate controls are out of the car and I supply power to them they work but when plugged into the car they don’t what could my problem be?
How are you testing them out of the car?
iv got the same problem a older 12v power supply
Hey, may i know how many watts these leds are?
I don't know the manufacturer does not list wattage anywhere.
Do you have anyone you can send the unit to for the upgrade?
Yes you can send it to us here is a link carradiobulbs.com/store-4/2003-to-2007-chevy-manual-climate-control-led-upgrade-service/
Can I do this without any tools just my hands?
No, they have to be soldered in.

Is it marked on the board which one is positive and negative?
No the board is not marked. All of our led kits come with install directions.
My kit did not.

Hey sir would you be interested in putting some blue ones and some of my truck parts I can order them brand new and drop ship them to you ?
They have to be OEM not aftermarket.
@@Car-Radio-Bulbs rlancemajors@gmail.com you can send me a email there and I'll gladly talk price with you and see about getting OEM switches from my dealer or my local junkyard
Do you do online orders by chance?
Yes we do go to this link carradiobulbs.com/
Are they all 5 mm because I try using 5 mm but they don’t work only the 2 middles ones can u tell me what sides are the ather 6 bolts
The two bulbs used for the sliders are 3 mm and the other 6 are 5 mm.
Ok thank you
Hi after I did the lights ac is not working and one side is flowing hot air and the other side is blowing cool air
Juan Villanueva you probably have to replace your ac actuator

I put the leds but the lights doesn’t get any power but the ac works. do I need to get a new one or what do I do ?
If you put in led's and the polarity isn't right on one of them then none of them may not work.
Do you ship to Canada?
Yes we do.
