    • @highdadd6526
      @highdadd6526 Před 13 dny +2

      I'll agree, Draymond is responsible for Poole's departure, but KD left after the Warriors lost to the Raptors, and I blame Kerr, the Warrior's media, his teammates, and the fans themselves. KD got pressured into playing because he was accused of being soft, and it was insinuated that he could play, he just didn't want to. The organization, and Kerr specifically, could have, and should have, publicly addressed that issue, and said that if KD was able, he'd be on the floor. I don't recall any of the team backing him up either, and it resulted in him missing an entire season, because he hadn't sufficiently recovered and shouldn't have been playing. Players shouldn't blindly trust the medical staff of any professional sports team, because too many doctors factor in the team's best interests as part of the equation, when their only concern should be the athlete's healing and health.

    • @tengille
      @tengille Před 14 dny +2

      The "3 balls from everywhere" is a double-edged sword. Average FG% is about 50% in the NBA.
      A team shooting nothing but 3's shoots 20 times, that's 30 points on 50% shooting.
      A team shooting nothing but 2's shoots 20 times, that's 20 points on 50% shooting.
      The math works, you're up 10. Its how peak Warriors were just blowing teams out at times by 20 - 30 points. You obviously need the shooters who average 40%+ to make that work (Steph and Klay both are).
      The problem is, as you say... if you're getting older, don't have the legs to run screens and get open all game, and then don't have a consistent backup plan to go down low on an off night, having guys getting thrown out of games, or just don't get other guys involved to makeup points... you lose by 20.

    One thing I'll say about the 2020 draft is that the Warriors didn't need another guard. The vision was to have Wiseman dominate in the post to relieve some pressure off of steph. Hindsight is always 20/20, but there was so much hype around Wiseman and we as a fanbase wanted him too. I think any team would've drafted him at No.2 if they had the chance

    • @thiagodasilva6492
      @thiagodasilva6492 Před 14 dny +1

      I understood that draft like that too but I’d not have drafted him personally. I thought it was too risky to draft a guy that we had no opportunity to see playing multiple games in college. There was no significant statistical analysis on his game in that level with only 3 games played. I was definitely cheering for him to work out in the warriors though, it’d have helped the team on another level. Like yesterday if we had him and he was everything we expected him to become for the franchise… Sabonis would not have gotten that many offensive rebounds and we’d have a real lobby threat =\

      There was plenty of guys that came out of high school in the past. Golden state had no patience to develop Wiseman. Because Steve Kerr wanted to play small ball. Everyone tend to forget that he wants to play small ball, Because if Steve Kerr and golden state wanted a big man. They would have gotten one within the last 2 to 3 years. They didn't want Wiseman to score and dominate the Post. They only wanted him to rebound. Be a rim protector and throw the ball back out to the 3 point line. So that only Steph and Klay could shoot, That's a waste of a big man.

    Oh no, they only got 4 championships.
    Everything good comes to an end. The fact that the warriors got to this level is still mind bogging to me after their best teams were right before they traded Mitch Richmond. And then a massive decay from there, becoming a laughing stock of the league. They get Curry and everyone is thinking "we should trade Steph because Monta Ellis needs more help!"
    I'm so blessed with the memories of the past decade for my team. One championship would have been enough honestly. The fact they were able to take those body blows, all the haters from KD joining, the fact that Steph retooled himself and did lead the team on his own, the fact that Klay could come back from those injuries, the fact they did retool... I'm still amazed and happy for my team giving those memories.

    I would say 2019 was the slow decline for the Warriors and 2022 was their one last run they had in them but it felt different, not necessarily something they were able to build on. I think the loss to the Kings was the nail in the coffin, plus a potential changing of the guard considering that Sacramento is a team on the rise that’s actually forming a consistently good team now after they just had their long playoff drought.

    • @bundangkorea
      @bundangkorea Před 12 dny

      Highly beg to differ. 2019 was just as good of a season as 2017-2018 were and possibly better, but the Warriors had some problems during the season due to injuries and the drama between Draymond and Durant. Without all of that going on, they would've easily beat the Raptors in the finals.
