  • Completely and utterly drunk, Barney finds two shlubs, teaches them how to live, and hand-writes a copy of the Playbook for them on some cocktail napkins before disappearing from their life forever.

      Well, we all have our own adventures and small beautiful moments that we keep in our own personal records, not the public ones. After all, what's life without mystery?? We don't REALLY NEED to know EVERYTHING about our friends, just a handful of important facts will do. I think that by preserving the secrets of some things make them all the more special.

      @@peoplepeople21 In my opinion it made complete sense for Barney to go back to his old ways after divorcing Robin. Barney truly and deeply loved Robin, sure he felt strongly for other women (i.e. Quinn and Nora), but Robin was the final play
      (some pun intended -Comment Five!-).
      So to go through all that, to give up his play boy persona and pass on his knowledge to the next generation, to finally marry “the one” in a show that put alot of emphasis on the fact that once you find "the one", that's it, your in. To do all that just for it to all come crumbling down was too much for Barney. He didn’t want to fall in love again. He gave his relationship with Robin all he had and it still wasn't enough, so he just wanted to go back to being a play boy again. To quote the man himself "Look, I know there was a time when it seemed like I was capable of going the distance, but if it wasn't gonna happen with Robin....then it's just not gonna happen with anyone."
      At this point, Barney is tired of being hurt , and you can’t get hurt if you never let anyone in to begin with. Barney just wants to be happy, and if that means hitting on drunk chicks half his age then we should let him!

  • @RWRogers
    @RWRogers Před 2 lety +3

    Character growth!!! Friends could have learned a thing or two had it went before HIMYM. Friends didn’t write quite as deep or long-term minded as HIMYM.
    As much as I love friends, it’s sad to see how swept under HIMYM really went. The show even got overshadowed by the big bang theory during the run! Always doing maybe half that in terms of viewership as BBT. BBT did just as well as friends averaging around 20 million viewers a week where as HIMYM averaged 8-10 million.
    Friends has went on to become an iconic show today and just a very fact that it just simply was not on par with HIMYM and that shows like BBT go over more is heartbreaking. I guess people do not have long-term attention spans these days. HIMYM truly tested that in people. Especially during its run and before it wrapped and landed on Netflix in 2015 or so.
    Those who stuck with it from beginning to end understand the depth of it, even The fans who came later Benj watching it on Netflix can recognize the higher quality show that HIMYM is.
    Friends had a great cast and I love the characters and it focused more on just being funny and avoiding any serious scenes except for maybe a couple… never going as deep or emotional as HIMYM. And it’s because sitcoms are usually afraid to do that. It’s tough to balance comedy and real emotion in a 30 minute episode so shows rarely ever do this. It’s maybe the one hour dramedy that will touch it.
    But the fact that HIMYM did it so well and managed to wrap a story 9 years in the making so beautifully (all-in-all) - testifies to it’s superiority.
    It, nor any of its cast members, ever really received the credit it deserves . But it’s the hardcore fan base that know what it could do and continue to support it that make it all worthy.

    Вот! Вот почему обычная концовка сосёт огромную, немытую, волосатую жопу! Они развивали персонажа 9 сезонов, чтобы тупо обнулить всё это в конце за 15 минут. В этом просто нет никакого смысла. Барни был готов к семейной жизни и всё на это указывает, но нет, этим придуркам нужно было вставить эпизод с его новорождённой дочкой. А что не так с удочерением? А может Робин всё таки могла каким-то чудом забеременеть? Столько вариантов сделать абсолютно такую же концовку, но при этом не просрать всё то чем вы занимались последние 9 лет.
