    Lenny and Curtis were really good to each other. Green and Logan were fantastic partners, but Curtis was something else. He felt like a younger Lenny, one that was with the times yet still able to match his wit and intellect.

    Unless the writers took a holiday, the defense attorney probably tried to have this thrown out using the 4th amendment. Unfortunately, the courts tend to see it this way: The data he transmits is in the public, so it's like yelling "Yo stupid cops! Come and get me! I'll kill again!" in a crowded theater.

    Of all the "Law & Order" episodes, this one seems the most far fetched. Did ANY case involving cyber-crime during the 90s ever get solved using that weird device the tech guy was using? What even is a "Yagee?"

      @misterbin00 Před 2 lety +46

      Back in the MODEM era, the Internet connection was set up by phone lines. If that is a landline, it can be tracked with the help of the phone exchange.
      This guy tried to play smart, so he used a device called 'cellular phone', which allows to connect remotely with radio signals.
      In this era cell phone signals can be tracked using the signal tower. Because the signals hit multiple towers you can just triangulate the location.
      Back in the day there were not a lot of towers so they had to use an mobile antenna to triangulate.
