Ray Stevenson played hands down the most bloodthirsty, romantic and polite villains ever, there were problems with later seasons but his performance isn’t one of them. RIP

That he did a bright spot even in the declining seasons, heck I even liked Colin Hanks as a true believing fanatic though no one does I get why, but yeah Issac was great.
The single best thing to come out from the last four seasons of Dexter, wish he lasted longer.
I think the best part about their dynamic was that, despite checking all the items on Harry's Code, Dexter didnt want to kill him, and even took the time to "bury" him next the his lover.
Dude! The scene where Dexter is talking to Isaac in prison and Isaac tells the story about his great uncle and grandfather, notice how in the reflection in the glass their right eyes overlap. Like they're two halves. Fuh-king cool!
Really like the scene where they're in the bar having a genuine conversation and starting to understand each other despite being enemies.

One of the most compelling villains in any tv series. Wonderfully acted and every scene he was in commanded presence. Reminded me of Tywin Lannister.

Isaak was one of my favorite characters from the show. I was sad to hear of the actors death but I’ll always remember him as the very patient and methodical man we see here.
Its amazing how most people just don't realize how dangerous Dexter is.

Yes, but Trinity Killer (Arthur Mitchell) only lived so long thanks to Dexter's complacency towards to him trying to blend him to "learn" to be a family man only to find out Arthur couldn't. Even Rita, Arthur only managed to kill her thanks to Dexter's terrible misfortune of being locked up. But once Dexter was finally free to kill Arthur, he died pretty easily.

What I like about Isaak as a villain is he didn't need to hide his villianous nature like most of the villains on Dexter but what he did need to hide was his softer loving side for Victor.
Isaac wanted it to be one way, but it's the other way.

Isaak was so menacing, seeing him as he sat down in dexters apartment waiting for him with his knives and tools out ready to t0rture and kill him was such an amazing way of demonstrating a character without words, how he is the only one who is able to make dexter lose his appetite from just sitting and talking to him, most of all using something that (at the time) was a bit “controversial” like being a homosexual and over all in the mafia which makes it a whole lot more complex, and still manage to be one of the most cold blooded killers out there, I loved how his reason to kill dexter is to venge his lover, which in my opinion is one of the best reasons to go out of his way to kill dexter, yet at the end they made it so much better by having them work together to get the men who want to kill isaak and at the end being wounded so badly that it’s fatal and has the man who killed his lover take him on his boat to where dexter dumped his body as a dying wish, amazing story line.
I always found it kind of stupid that the police watched the two of them talking. They'd obviously be interested in what's going on, but nothing ever came of it. Also his death was pretty upsetting, they seemed like they could have become good buds.
lol also they can check visitors logs and see that dexter went to visit him for no reason during the time he was in prison. lmao
There are a lot of plot holes in this show, but I enjoy it.

Isaak was so interesting and captivating that I honestly wanted a crime drama with him as the lead

I’ve got to admit Dexter was low key afraid for his life knowing Issac was after him. Let’s just say Dexter doesn’t get “scared” for his life too often! I loved this little villain in this season for sure 👍
Isaak was the best part about the final seasons. The “gentlemanly understanding” conversation Dexter and Isaac had was one of the best moments in the shows history.
None of us want to be fully revealed all are faults and weaknesses laid bare for the world to see.

Isaak character was full Charisma. I m a big fan of M.C.Hall as Dexter but, this season he was almost shadowed by Isaak's charisma and talent. Whoever choose the outfits for almost all the cast but especially Ukranian Mob did splendid job. Hannah is another story ofc and bec of these 2 guests I like this season very very much. '' While I was incarcerated I found myself plagued with a nagging question '' seriously... who writes these lines are massively underrated.

They played a game of chess while most of Dexter's other antagonists were playing checkers this is why I think he was hella underrated as a villain

Aww I loved Hannah. Maybe because I always loved her in the show chuck and any other shows or movie I see her in I tend to really like. Rita and Lumen both never really felt like a permanent relationship especially with Dexter’s secret. However Hannah just seemed like the one that truly accepted him even after he tried to kill her. Maybe I’m forgetting other people but she really just felt like the one for him imo.
@MountainDewMe Lumen knew Dexter's secret, maybe not fully, but that he was a killer, I think they totally could have expanded on that, instead they threw in Hannah and hated that she always manipulated Dex, you don't do that to someone you care about, killer or not. Manipulation is something you do to an enemy.

This made me so sad
There was so much going on in this season. However Isaac was a good change from the seasonal serial killer. It was a move having him being gay and a man of power. I love this. Wished he would have been in earlier seasons but it’s what made season 7 watchable.
This season of the series, to me, at least, was the best. Ray Stevens made the best antagonist. Great chemistry between him and Dexter. See ? I can't even remember the name of the actor who played Dexter, he so deeply inhabited his character. Thank you, Dexter channel. I just subscribed. God bless you, Ray Stevens ! ROME forever !
Ray really did well considering this horrible writing. Outstanding actor. Written out of the show so unceremoniously so that they could focus on Hannah. Isaak was basically treated as a plot device to further the Hannah storyline, but fans would've rather seen Dexter and Isaak continue as friends than watch the Dexter and Hannah storyline.

He was brilliant in this show, stand out actor, his death seems more intense knowing he's dead IRL.
Also the relationship with Isaak (gr8 charcter BTW) was interesting. As was his screen sexuality which was an interesting twist as he wasn't vulgar about it. Unlike todays TV.
Ultimately I think they were two intelligent/beleaguered people who were lonely in the deepest sense and despite being enemies, I think they found some rapport and comfort in at least being honest about each others lives which ironically brought them closer together.
RIP "Ray Stevenson" you were a memorable character in one of the best TV shows ever made.
Season 7 was so damn good💥 it's right up there with the first 4 seasons.. and it mirrors season 2 really well🔥
