Wow Yiddish sounds like German to the untrained ear.

Yiddish is a folk language which originated from Middle High German a thousand years ago. To that is added Hebrew, Aramaic, Slavic, French, Latin and others. So it originates from an old German dialect but it is a very Jewish language.

This person also knows German and has a very strong accent. Yiddish doesn't generally sound like this.

Also to the untrained ear, Russian sounds like Polish. Also Mandarin sounds like Cantonese. To the untrained ear, Turkish sounds like Greek.
