My only request is for content creators to be committed to balance, fairness, and truth. These qualities will ultimately define the winners in this new era of college football and within the current social media landscape.

Dude, Max Olson and The Athletic did a hit job and totally lack editorial integrity. When Max (Nebraska Grad) showed up with his story to his Editor. The Editor should have said (if he didn’t know) “so only Colorad and Deion Sanders are cutting players in this portal thing” and the answer would be “no” And then the editor would have said, well we should cover a bigger swath of players and Universities to get a better understanding of the ramifications of the portal. It was a hit piece. Any professor in Journalism would agree that you would expand the search to get a fair and accurate understanding of the Portal.

That's actually incorrect. Take On3's Team Transfer Portal Index for example. This algorithm is used to determine if the school has improved its overall team talent, stayed the same, or declined during the transfer window. The Transfers Out average performance index is 65.39. The Transfers In average performance index is 73.59.
The players that left last season was ranked somewhere in the 40s. That was upgraded to 65.39. So, Deion is actually getting better players as he goes. The question is how well can your staff utilize the talent? How much can Prime improve on game day decisions, etc? That's where the rubber meets the road. But Deion is getting better overall talent.

However the Experiment will be successful THIS SEASON because the whole thing is BUILT AROUND SHEDEUR BEING SUCCESSFUL! As long as he is protected and kept upright Colorado can compete with any program! HE’S JUST THAT GOOD, GREAT EVEN! That’s why the emphasis has been on beefing up the offensive linemen and bringing in great receivers, and running backs who can pass block! The big question that needs to be answered is: WHAT WILL HAPPEN AFTER SHEDEUR LEAVES? Will Coach Prime be able to replace Shedeur with another elite quarterback? Will Coach Prime stay at Colorado to begin program building and culture instead of a mercenary revolving door “program”? Can Coach Prime and his coaches mold and mesh together the transfers brought in into a team by September? STAY TUNED!!!

Once they leave I can see Deion going back to building an actual program and developing the players he is recruiting. He has no base to build on if you constantly have your freshman leaving the program. You build a program with your recruiting and fill in the spots with transfers. His editor after reviewing would have said, so is Deion and the CU Buffs the only team doing this portal thing. And Max would have been obliged to say ‘no’ and his editor would have said, well let’s get a better picture of the implications and consequences of the portal, let’s talk to other players, coaches , teams . Max is a graduate of Nebraska, which part of me thinks is one of the reasons for this hit piece, but there is an element of the media targeting Deion. Next year will be the easiest schedule CU has had in at least 12 years. The Big 12 will not be as strong next year as the Pac 12 was last year, especially since OU and Texas are now gone. Of all the teams CU plays next year in the new Big 12, only Arizona St. and Utah have a winning record against Colorado, and of course those are former Pac 12 teams.

To win a national championship off of a revolving roster is going to be HARD, your guys dont know eachother, they dont know they playbooks in and out, they have to adjust to culture, no matter who you are if you are consistently replacing half of your roster every post season, how can you expect to take the next step?
You arent developing players as you're getting them halfway if not fully developed from the portal,
You're not recruiting well enough to have a sustainable roster with longevity in the back half of the season (10 guys a class should be unacceptable)
We saw it last year they lost travjs, shedeur, and shiloh all at different points and there was a HUGE drop off from the next man up.
This strategy will only win you 7 games max in my honest, unbiased opinion. When you run up against the Utahs, Kansas States, Oklahoma States, etc its gonna be tough to win.

It seems like Deion is doing the same thing that Lane Kiffin does, but on a much larger scale. This model will work for bowl games, but until it happens and Im proven wrong, i will say it is impossible for National Title chances. The Big 12 is only putting one team per year in the playoff and CU (at absolute best case) is the 4th best team, coming behind KansasST, Kansas, and OKST..and could even say fairly certainly that UCF and TexasTechare better "programs" with much beter teams top to bottom...that does not sat that CU will lose to all of them every year, but it is an objective truth that all five of those teams have the upperhand from roster construction and "inside the building" thought. I think CU is 5-7 to 7-5..

3-9 this year. Deion isn’t building the offensive and defensive line. That’s how you win football

The Athletic piece was a hit job on Deion as the Old Boy Network don’t like uppity Black Head Football Coaches. It wasnt journalism, it was manipulating players by The Athletic to cobble together their hit piece. If it was a piece on kids getting cut loose why not select multiple programs and do a comprehensive review? It was hit piece, The Athletic has an axe to grind.
It’s not an experiment, it is a program that switched to the new current model of college football. Deion inherited a really, really, really bad 1-11 team. They got better after the December ‘22 portal, they got better after the Spring ‘23 portal and they went 4-8. Lost 6 games by a score or less in a good PAC 12. They get better after the Dec ‘23 portal and to date have gotten better after the Spring ‘24 portal. Which part, makes you not think they aren’t gonna be better this coming season? Buffs will win minimum 6 games this season (which would put them a year ahead of Jedd Fisch and what he accomplished at Arizona’s season 2, after he inherited a 1-11 Wildcat program. Which most people, rightfully credited Jedd for turning that program around. Deion, is gonna accomplish it faster by adapting to the new reality of college football faster than most coaches. Look for the Buffs to begin recruiting more preps in the years to come but the cupboard was bare and Deion played the game correctly on how to turn a program around in the quickest manner. Love it or hate it. It’s not an experiment, if it is, then the portal is an experiment is as well. My prediction is the Buffs win 8 games and exceed everyone’s predictions and even then, they will find something wrong with Deion and the Buffs. PS. Josh. CU is a program. Come check out Heisman Trophy, National Championship or Big 12!Championship Trophies. Thjnk you’ll like Boulder; nice people, blue skies, mountain majesty and some good food.

I don't think people are annoyed with Deion because of the transfer portal. I think they are annoyed that he has time to sit on Twitter (with his son) and talk shit to people that hold no stock in their program. They won 4 games last year and do not have a great recruiting class this year... But he is barking at people online like a teenager. His son I'll give a pass to because he's a college kid...young people are often emotionally charged and don't think rationally. But Deion is a grown man trying to establish a good culture at Colorado... Y'all think a head coach talking shit on social media with his son is a winning culture? LMAO alright then... Give me "6 wins this year for Colorado and Deion out after this season" for 1000, Alex

Deion can do what he wants to do. BUT if you trash and badmouth your players instead of taking the high road then you can expect your players to not have much loyalty and many parents to not want their children to play for you. The message someone like Saban projects is we have standards for behavior on and off the field. That includes how we interact with each other and the community. We will help you become the best football player you can be, but more imporantly the best man you can be for you, your family, and your community.

Your son is the leader. You don't let him talk thrash about the kids who transferred out of the program. Those kids still have friends on the cu squad. I am shocked by his level of pettiness towards college athletes-KIDS!!

😂😂😂 Did you just say watch the CZcams videos. You can watch CZcams videos of any program and they’ll look good. You can’t turn your team over every year in an unestablished program. Bama, Georgia, Ohio State can. CU can’t and they have a long road. Until they’ll be even looked at close to those programs. Have fun with the 3-9 Season
