Dylan took a shot at Shedeur by saying better quarterback play. That statement was about Shedeur's NIL and collectives .... He simply wanted more money. Shedeur's play is great and Dylan was being prepared to run in space with packages from OC Shermur. Dylan made an excuse to leave for the envy in him and his financial endeavors with family pressure.

Dylan Edwards is mentally tough and has shown a strong work ethic as an athlete. While his speed on the field is undeniable, some may argue that his stature could hinder his chances of making it to the NFL. Despite potential weight gains in the coming years, it remains uncertain if someone as small as him would transition beyond college football.

I don't think it is NIL. Manhattan, KS is a very small town. The biggest thing there is Ft. Riley, KS and KSU. Not a huge community with NIL opportunities like Boulder/Denver, CO. CU has more NIL than it is letting on. According to on3 sports, KSU was ranked 44th amongst P5 teams while Colorado was ranked 6th overall nationally. QB2 and T. Hunter rank 1 and 2 in NIL, Shilo ranks 12th overall in NIL. No KSU player ranks in the top 100 for NIL Nationally. Here in the Western US, I've seen Charlie Offerdahl and A. Macaskill on national TV ads with Coach Prime. So, I don't think it was money. I think it is a lot simpler than that. He is a small-town kid from Kansas. Just 100 miles down the road from Kansas State vs. +-600 miles to Boulder. His Father also played RB at Kansas State from 1992 through 1994. All Son's live to make their families proud, but specifically their Fathers! He is a good kid! Did everything CU asked of him and more. Represented himself and family well! CU will be all right and so will KSU. It makes for good TV when KSU and D. Edwards comes to town in OCT!

@@Poppa_Reedand yet they didn't have a single player go in the draft. Lol I mean they aint playing football for CZcams views. They are playing to develope and go to the nfl. They went 4-8, had zero players go in the draft and watched almost their entire roster of players and coaches get turned over for the 2nd time in a 1 1/2 years. There has been zero success and zero stability in that program. They aint playing for clicks. This is these young men's future at stake and Dylan is seeing his being squandered at CU with deion. These guys have 3 or 4 years to make this thing work to go to the nfl. 1 year is already in the trash and wasted and the 2nd year is about to start and it looks worse than year one, so these guys are getting out of there and you can't blame them. Deion is gonna look out for the sanders. Period. Look how saban did it, how kirby is doing it, how sark, day, kiffin and all the other coaches who are successful are doing it. They all do it the same and you got this one new guy doing it completely different than everyone else and talking so big and so loud and yet getting absolutely terrible results. Lol there is a reason that anyone who has had success in college football, all go about doing it the same way. Deion needs to watch and learn. He has to get on the road and get to these high-schools and start recruiting, coaching and developing. The portal can help speed up the process of finding success but there is no substitute for recruiting and developing talent in house over 2 or 3 years. There is a reason that most great players make bad coaches. They are 2 totally different skill sets.

I think it was the bag and father's influence. KSU has DJ Gidden who's a damn good RB at 6-1 212 pounds. Over 1200 yards last year while splitting carries. I was looking forward to seeing the offense built around Dylan to see what he could really do with the added size and track practices. I don't think he will get as much carries with DJ Giddens as he thinks. The QB Avery Johnson only completed 56% of his 66 passes for 37 completions, 5 TDs, and 479 yards. He does scramble abit with 7 TDs rushing and 296 yards in about 5 games. I think our line will be better than KSU with all the new additions. KSU lost their best O-Lineman in Beebe so the line might take a step back.

Regarding the other notable transfers I think playing for CP while always being in the spotlight has been a new, intimidating and stressful experience for some of those young men. Therefore, transferring may prove to be whats best for them. The Sanders kids are the exception because they've always been in the spotlight.

    1. He’s known Avery Johnson since they were kids.
    2. He wanted to be closer to home.
3, CU didn’t utilize him enough and K-State will. Deuce Vaughn who is smaller then Edwards was great at K-State under coach Chris Klieman.

Good for him moving on and doing what he wants to do. I think it was a good decision for him. By the way, for those saying he didn’t leave the right way? Were some of those that never had communication with Coach at all (despite wanting it) then told you should jump in the portal done the right way? It’s funny how one minute we will call these guys men when they are being told to jump in the portal or man up…then the next moment we refer to them as kids? Which is it? It can’t be both.

His departure could’ve been handled differently in my personal opinion. I have nothin wrong wit him wanting to go back home and get paid for his likeness but the position coach prime put him in, and the exposure that coach prime provided; he should’ve went to him like a man instead of leaving behind coaches back. Dylan knew he was going to be the first option anymore and I don’t blame him for wanting to have a bigger role, but you don’t leave without sayin goodbye.

It's simple math. The team started taking black eyes and the parents of these kids along with the constant temptation of greener pastures influenced these kids to enter the portal. The truth will be told once the season starts if Colorado is better or worse for this. A lot of times, the coach can overshadow the program and folks do not acknowledge it. I like Prime, but there's a point you have to take a back seat and let your players development speak for you. Remember, what did these kids hear that made them come to Colorado in the 1st place? What are they hearing and seeing now that they're jumping ship? Why the hate towards these players for entering the portal? That's what the NIL deals and such were set up for. Saban told us and we just thought it was hate, now look at what's happening.

Every running back wants to play all three downs. Hence, they want a minimum of 15 carries a game. This was not likely to happen at Colorado, given the RBs in the RB room.
Colorado seems to prefer a "running back by committee" system, and this system likely did not comport with the desires of the RBs who have departed. Frankly, I prefer a single starting running back who will get 20 carries, as a running back needs to get into a rhythm, and the running back committee system does not afford a running back this opportunity in a game.

Let’s cut to the chase, Dylan wasn’t a big back, QB2 got killed in the backfield, they needed a big blocking back to secure the passing game. He chased the bag bottom line. When you have multiple pro scouts coming to your facility and they’re talking to certain guys and coaches what’s that telling you, I either need to step up my game or go get this fa show money. Players and parents professional football coaches and scouts can tell you in seconds if you got it or not. And from the guys that decided to leave I only saw one possible special team candidate for UFL maybe NFL.

I feel it was a combination of having to share the load with other backs and the coaches not having the confidence in him that they once had. Let’s face it, the competition in the running back room is going to be very competitive. There are probably better all around backs at Colorado than him now. I believe Dylon feels he has a better chance of getting to the NFL if he goes to a school that will give the ball full time. Also, the opportunity to achieve more stats can lead to more NIL opportunities. The grass is not always greener on the other side though.
