    If you listen to rock, Nothing More aren't really nobodies. They've been around for a while.

    Speak for yourself. I've been listening to them for 4 years now. It's about time they got some more recognition.

      MrDustbrick, like many great bands, we can only hope that this kind of mainstream shit they are going to participate in, won’t ruin their creative style. I hate watching bands blow up from events like this because often times it changes for the worst. I’m just glad they openly criticize the Grammy’s for the garbage they are. What’s gonna suck no matter what is how many people will claim their allegiance after being exposed to the band on that platform. My opinion is, if you enjoy the grammy’s it’s cause you’re one of them. Gross!!

    The band never heard?? They are pretty huge in the rock world and rock radio. They are hardworking boys and kill it on stage. They have had multiple number ones and write THEIR own music unlike popular country and pop artist. They got jibbed from the Grammys.

      @patricketurner Před 6 lety

      Not entirely true, a few songs were written by an outside source. I believe 'The Mathew Effect' was one of them.

      Rock is either pastiche or art music at this point. Kinda like jazz and blues. I meant sure people still play it but it isn't the same as when it was consider pop music. Not that I dislike modern rock but rarely do I find rock artists charting, even rarer for me to like them. But I think it has happened.

    125,000 cds sold?? Why don't they mention the millions upon millions of views on youtube? What about total digital download sales? I know I've got their cd and digital downloads. Vice downplayed these guys a little too much... Their recent cd is awesome. Not a bad song on it.

      Well also do keep in mind how much actual cd sales have dropped across the entire music industry. So selling physical copies is actually now more of a significant thing than it was in the past.

    Agreed rock isn’t relevant anymore but every now and then a new genre takes hold like rock from the Beatles and Elvis, then metal went big with System of a Down and Slipknot, then we had people like Eminem and Jay Z, and now the new kind of music is like with DJ Khalid and Drake. Each genre has its time to shine doesn’t mean it’s dead it’s just not out there in the media

    Nothing More have been around for a while, they formed in 2003, but it took them a decade to break out. They're very popular in the rock/metal world, and they've had quite a few #1 hits too. Each member is incredibly talented at their respective instrument too.

    Proving once again that entertainment awards are just a dog & pony show. Backscratching parties. It'd be great if they were "opening the door" to indie acts or something, but give your head a shake - this nomination is just some favours called in, or money paid.

    Nothing More is my new Volbeat. They came out of nowhere and absolutely took over my playlist immediately. I have been listening to them for about 5 years or so now and absolutely love everything that they put out. Everybody should give them a listen as they are absolutely amazing. If you haven't seen them live you are doing yourself a disservice. They put on the best live shows that I have ever seen.

    The underdog. This is the number one biggest selling point for almost anything. The reason: Unique talent draws an unpredictable outcome. It gives you this uneasy feeling of excitement that you can’t ignore.
    I don’t see Nothing More as an underdog in any way except in a Grammy setting. Personally I will never watch and have never in the past enjoyed. They hit the nail on the head when they compared it to a circle jerk. It’s so pretentious and represents nothing but a bunch of over fed over paid assholes doing their best to feel like they did something relevant for society. I’m only happy for the success of Nothing More. They have impressed me over and over with how they create. They truly have a collective talent that is unrivaled in today’s music industry.

  • @Nando_2
    @Nando_2 Před 5 lety

    Being from San Antonio, they're definitely a city treasure and more a Texas treasure. Not everyone has heard of them and the radio here is that of a vine feed (repetitive) however, the foundation which they've built themselves on in Texas and surrounding states has them rising. They're something special in their music and their live show. They didn't win the Grammy but they've definitely earned the publicity and no doubt in my mind will go on to become bigger than they already are.

    So wtf do people want ? Nominate the same old 5 bands from before the 2000s because everyone knows them ?? Nothing more is a fucking amazing band, people don't give new rock bands any chance, and then claim that rock is dead. You can go listen to new bands like nothing more, starset, I prevail, saint asonia, badflower, nine lashes, ashes remain, smash into pieces, or you can stay stuck with Metallica, nirvana, green day and foo fighters.

      @cameronrichner3108 Před 6 lety

      I'd first like to ask how sounding like Fall Out Boy in your personal opinion means they don't have the "It" factor. You are aware how popular they were/to some extent are, right? Nothing More has massive potential if you can look a little deeper than the their biggest hits.
