Watches In The Wild | Thailand, Ep. 1: The Best Place In The World To Collect Seiko

There's so much more to watches than hype. To me, watches have always been tied to travel and adventure. In a new HODINKEE series called "Watches In The Wild" I explore the many facets of watch culture around the globe. In the first episode, I'm hitting the streets of Bangkok to discover the connection between Seiko and Thailand and why there are so many Thai limited-editions.
Sure, other countries have their own limited-edition Seikos (here in the US we have the Prospex SLA053 and SLA059), but they’re few and far between. Thailand was doing LE drops years before it became trendy. And to a Western audience, many of these pieces remain obscure. So we thought it was the perfect launching pad for this new series.
