I must have watched hundreds of these SOTC videos. These is by far the most interesting one I have seen because this man had bought watches that mean something to him and speak to him personally.
I have seen so many millionaires put out their collection videos and they all comprise of the same pieces (Daytonas, Royal Oaks, Nautilus, Subs, etc etc).
Don't get me wrong, they have great watches but I find it strange when people say they have great taste!!!! They simply have a lot of money and buy the most sought after watches that the watch community says should be sought after.
This guy buys watches that he likes and that interest him.

Nice collection and fair points about modern GS in the overall watch market as a whole. That said, I know of and have seen bigger GS collections...both modern and vintage.

Thanks, I really enjoyed this one!!! We have a lot in common, even the Toyota (J150 here). Btw, I think I know the watch you are looking for, check out Seiko Grand Seiko SBGF021, 019, or 017. 38x10x43/44, lumed hands/indices, 200m WR, screw down signed crown, 8J56 quartz (the best they ever made), adjustable hour hand, great bracelet. There´s a few out there but difficult to find one in excellent condition.

You guys should do a closer look at the GS. Nice collection! I do agree people need to see GS in person as some of the pictures especially on the GS is not accurate. I wish GS uses video and rotate the watch in different angles and lighting to really show the dial. The dials are amazing! Take a look at SBGH295 as this dial is amazing and a stunner! Funny thing I got an FJ cruiser as well 🤣

Great video and what a collection! Does anyone know what the reference number is of the Seiko GS quartz watch with champaigne dial, crown guards and exhibition case back and with SEIKO at twelve and GS at six? Salem talks about this watch at 4min15sec.

My favorite brand is Tissot, well made & designed Swiss Made & not too expensive. Grand Seiko has the nicest dial texture I think their Quartz model designs are nicer but I hate Quartz always worry the back will get scratch, dust or battery leak. Wish Quartz watches would come with a separate battery hatch like Swatch where u don’t have to worry about removing the whole back case just to remove or change the batteries.
Tissot is a really cool brand. I agree with your points, the fear of battery leakage in quartz watches is a fair point to be taken into consideration but thankfully I don't think it happens often.
@@LocalWatchGuy I wish more quartz watch would come with a seperate battery hatch where we don't have to worry about removing the whole back case and scratching it or getting dust in.
