. Why doesn’t TLC pay for her treatment in Italy? They made money off her story didn’t they?
dakritic Omfg exactly, why didn’t i think of that? Assholes, they better have
Larissa Botello: Lol... Think about it. The advertisement dollars they make can go right to her. Like you said those assholes better.

A simple go fund me could do the trick... the show must of paid her some money,I mean no way would she do it for nothing, good way to get noticed though
I k right?
She's all like "I thought my hand was broken so I would just finish my shift and get it checked out" she must be a champ
Honestly that’s me. I’ve had so many things where I should’ve gone to the doctor immediately but I am like “no, I’ll finish school,” “no I’ll finish my shift and go monday”. On one side it’s a good mindset to be stubborn and keep going but some times it’s asking for trouble
@Jake Dean i think regardless it wouldnt have helped. Theres not much that helps nerve pain. I know because I have fibromyalgia its similar because its caused by damaged nerves but not to the extent this brave woman with all those terrible blisters has.
@Jake Dean soldiers getting shot, kept fighting, and then went to hospital. Nothing bad at that. But her condition is exceptional.
When I broke my hand in a similar way I didnt get it checked out right away cause it wasn't that painful at first. Really, I was just, ok, well that's going to be sore. Took several hours to get really painful. A day to start bruising. Pain didn't become a real problem til about the 4th day. I can see her finishing the shift.
Last year, I was running to gym class and I slipped. I smacked my head on the tile floor of the school and decided not to go to the nurse, I don’t know why. My head was numb for the rest of the day and my parents got mad at me for not going to the nurse.
She's gotten her life back to normal now for the past two years. She was sick from 2015 to 2019. She doesn't suffer pain with sores anymore and has lost 115 lbs of weight. Good on her!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💜 well done Kayla!!! 💚💚💚
I’m glad to hear she’s doing better. As for losing weight, before she was just about living, her mind would be consumed with pain, it takes a toll on the brain and energy levels.
It would have been so, so difficult to even think about going to the supermarket, choose good food she’s then have to prep & cook it. The chance of her having enough ‘life’ to even think about going to the gym or go jogging for example.
@@lilacscentedfushias1852 yeah, it was nice to discover she's currently well. Obviously when unwell she couldn't take care of herself the best. The weight was put on only during those years. She has her old job back too.

Kayla. I’m also a CRPS warrior. I was diagnosed 4 years ago and my pain getting progressively worse. The pain is unbelievable 😢. That’s why it’s called the suicide disease. Thank goodness I love life and my family that’s what keeps me going. When I have a flare I’m stuck in bed all day. My meds barely work. It’s such an awful diagnosis. Stay strong. #CRPSWARRIOR
I wish I was as strong as you are. I have honestly tried. I’ve been suffering since February of 2000. I’m 50 years old but I feel so much older. I have made multiple attempts on my life. I just don’t think I can suffer until I am an “old” person. This is the most cruel condition ever. I’m praying for you and everyone else that’s suffering from this nightmare.

Oxycontin helped but they took that away because I'm not a cancer patient.
Stay strong Kayla. I'm with ya and I'll pray for both of us!
THE US is is far behind in the medical field. Stuff that should be off the shelf are still not there. Stuff that should distributed regularly is denied..
That's messed up they took you off Oxycontin because they claim it's only for "cancer" patients, lol what a load of crap.. i was recently prescribed #60, 80mg Oxycontin a month, but switched over to Opana (Oxymorphone) 40mg, #120 a month. #150 20mg Roxicodone for breakthrough pain, and 1mg Xanax 4 times daily as needed for anxiety.
never had or have cancer. just typical pain.

Doctors call this "The Suicide Disease" because it is so excruciating. I wish her all the best!
I get cluster headache and they are called suicide headache 🤕
I was about to say. I suffer Cluster Headache (Trigeminal Autonomic Cephalalgia) a.k.a. Suicide Headache. I'm glad _EVERY TIME_ I see pain patients educating the public, as awareness for our suffering is so low and we are grossly undertreated. We still lose about 4 a year in my most prominent Support Group.
I think travis barker had that
And it may or may not have anything to do with the “mind suffering” or depression. Suicide can be a reasonable and well thought out choice made with loved ones. Now that my mom is getting older we’ve had talks and we are both dead serious that it’s my responsibility to not only pull the plug but provide for a quicker and more painless option when the time comes. People just can’t accept the fact that they are going to die. No matter what. And what is a a year or two more of life if it is lived in constant pain?

My mother refused to accept that fate , and I will forever be grateful for finding an osteopath who cured me 🙏. Please know that there is help ! It's possible to recover from CRPS . never give up !
How did they cure it
diet. I had undiagnosed food intolerances and sensitivities that no one picked up on. I had always had stomach aches as a child , but all doctors dismissed me as a clingy kid who wants attention. It turned out that all the food I was eating was creating ulcers, and wearing away my stomach lining. We did a scan (it might of been a CT Scan but I was so young I cant remember exactly) and found literal holes/craters in my gut from all the years of eating the wrong foods. My liver was filing also, and my kidneys were in overdrive. Basically my body couldn't deal with trying to heal my organs and my foot, so it decided to shut down the foot instead. Then it travelled to the other leg and got worse over time. Until I changed my diet. We eliminated everything, it was very very strict for a 10 yr old. I lived of blueberries, almonds, chicken and broccoli for about a month. I did lose a lot of weight, so my doctor told me we needed to introduce more foods faster. At the time I only introduced 1 food ever week. We were hoping that my body would heal and I would be able to eat the foods again, but that didnt happen. My legs got better during this time. Once I changed my diet within 4 weeks I was standing and within 6 weeks I was walking. (still had a lot of rehab to do tho) I did get a test done and the main culprits for me where wheat, dairy, soy, egg, sulfites, cashews and pineapple and gluten. I did find my body sensitive to some other foods, which I cut out. But I ended up growing out of those.
So put sum it up.
1. my organs and gut were not healthy
2. I needed to detox from those foods and change my diet
3. I did a lot of rehab 3 days a week + strengthening exercises
and most importantly
4. Never lose hope and have a positive mindset.
All these things helped me overcome CRPS and 10years old. Maybe not everyone's story is the same, and maybe what worked for me wont completely work for another, but its always worth a shot. There's always a cure, so hope is very important in the gloom and misery of disease .

slovak gamer no, it’s an issue with the entire nervous system. The person would still feel pain in that spot regardless if the limb is still there. I know, I used to beg and cry to have my foot/ankle/leg amputated. The specialist doctors replied with an explanation similar. I too, have CRPS

My sister had this in her feet which made her unable to walk for a long time, but she hasn't had it be an issue in a while. She never got any sores and went into physical therapy. She knows how this girl feels, and based on what I saw her go through, it's unimaginable pain.
Also according to her when she was diagnosed they called it "chronic regional pain syndrome"

Hello Kayla, my name is Laurie, like you I also have CRPS. Thank you for sharing your story. I am interested to know if you received treatment in Italy or not. Hopefully one day we can chat and help others who are suffering/living with CRPS.
Hii , i am suffering through same
I have sores all over my body the blister they burn I can't stand the pain. I'm now basically bed ridden or in a wheelchair . Yet I have underlying conditions that they are afraid to do anything for me. I pray 🙏🙏 for you I truly understand.
It was my greatest opportunity using Doctor Ani John herbal medicine for Shingles virus which gave me a lot of concern, today I have been cured of Shingles virus since November 25. 2020 I appreciate Dr.Ani John for his help you can also visit him on his CZcams channel for help he cured me permanently and am grateful 🙏
I hope you feel better now ❤
This is a very tough life. Stay strong Kayla, May the scientist of this world find a cure for this condition.
Amen. For my daughter's life too
Syndromes are hard to cure i dont even know if syndromes have cures
@@iggy0128 the real issue is, this is a very rare syndrome and that means not alot of people would buy the meds to cure and that means no money in finding a cure. Sad world.
I have CRPS in my upper extremities. It is worse than anyone can imagine. Thoughts and prayers for Kayla.
Damn i give prayers to both of u
Your prayers aren't worth shit, save your breath. God isn't real.
@@nurdytyrd3816 you're entitled to your opinion, I acknowledge that. However, to feel the need to make that statement to people who are suffering the MOST PAINFUL condition known to man, why would you take that hope? For some, hope is all they have. Maybe you are really hurting and feel hopeless and so if that is the case, I will remember to pray for you.
@@Mommamoose100 I hope you get well soon.😊
Nerdy Tyrd save your breath your opinion isn't worth shit no one cares about your entitled bullshit
So glad to hear she has recovered. What a horrible experience for her to endure!
Kayla is so brave , she went through that disease for years
I just hope she is gonna be okay. This is a very important lesson
…..I think
Just remember folks someone has it a lot worse than you do. Be thankful for ever day without pain.
Just made a screenshort of ur comment. Imma post it on insta n make it my whatsApp profile pic 🥂🥂
That doesn't mean someone elses struggles aren't valid.

I just had back surgery 1 of possibly 3, and have been in chronic pain for seven years. I always remind myself someone out there has it worse than me. Now I have a face and name in my head. Kayla.
My husband says frequently that I’ve made him appreciate his mobility, the bad days are horrible, the good days so sweet.
You can tell this has totally wrecked her emotionally :( poor sweetheart. She's such a nice person no one deserves this. I have a painful autoimmune Condition, and it's nothing compared to this...
I have never forgotten this young lady's histoire. I cried when I saw her now and really hope she has gotten help now. Think how much pain she is in😢
I have this condition and it's spread from an accident at work. It is overwhelming.
I had wounds on my arm and it looked like id scalded my whole forearm.
The medications take a huge toll on your body and mental health.
I wonder if they've tried killing the nerve from the originally impacted hand. Sure - Kayla would lose the ability to use that hand, but I'd rather lose my hand than deal with pain and blisters all over my body forever. And yes, I'd donate to a Go Fund Me for this poor girl.
Yes; they referred to the 'original impacted site' more than once. And she would lose the use of that hand, but not necessarily any limbs. I wonder if they consider that a last resort, like amputation? I would donate as well. Her flight and accommodation would be easy to fund. It's the likely required hospitalization and the treatment that could be extremely costly.
I feel like this wouldn't work as it has spread throughout her whole body, she feels pain everywhere which means every other nerve has been infected with the disease
@@divinecrusader4258 I know fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis (though completely unrelated) affect and cause pain over much of the body at once, but I'd never heard of an originally damaged nerve site affecting nerves in completely different limbs. They did say that Kayla's case is unusually extreme. Those scabs remind me of skin necrosis caused by homemade desomorphine. What a terrifying illness. They were able to diagnose Kayla at least; some sufferers of very rare illnesses have no answers and little hope.
@@pennypay1 yeah it is a horrifying disease, many people are saying its, "hades disease" due to the burning pain that lasts constantly, I have been through some pain before but it pales in comparison to this

I’d be addicted to pain killers......it’s horrible to live a life like this. I would pray everyday. Let God work the miracle. She’s a warrior

Yeah, shit like that is the reason for MANY people to be hooked on heroin and stuff.. it's really sad.

Just so terrible. I'm so sorry you have to go through this, Kayla.
I'm so sorry you are going thru this. I cannot imagine how awful this is for you.
I will pray for you, alot!🙏
Please get better soon.
Take care sweetie. 💕
I have full body CRPS including internally. I’m bedridden at 32...had CRPS for over 5 years. No treatments have worked. Opioid prescription pain medication is the one thing keeping me alive (through Jesus Christ)... the opioid crisis has come very very close to killing me. I need these pain medications to live...it’s infuriating trying to fight for these so I can stay alive long enough to find a treatment...better yet a CURE!!
CRPS sucks. I run a CRPS support group on FB “CRPS life the good bad and funny” if anyone reading this has CRPS and wants some awesome warriors to fight with you. 🧡
Wow! You are extremely brave! Stay strong! I'll pray for you too.. all the best!!👍
Im an atheist but that doesn t mean i can t wisg you luck and health and wealth
Paula Wilson, you can heal yourself through eating only raw fruits and vegetables. Please look up Dr. Robert Morse and his videos here on YT. The body can heal from basically anything if we just get out of its way to do so. Blessings. 💚
Jewlz4ever 😂 that’s not true but thanks! That’s as bout as useful as sticking kale up my butt.
tracy Star no I shouldn’t but clearly you have no ideas what the opioid crisis is going to pain patients in the US.
I couldn't deal with this because of my OCD, I would pick the burns and Would literally die.
RIGHHHTTT
Same here i would just keep peeling the scabs
Yup, me too
Oh fuck
I suffer ADHD and OCD, I would do the same.
Thank you Kayla for sharing your story ❤❤
Awwwww this is just terrible. Thank you for sharing and making me count my own blessings. May someone find treatment/cure for this.
Or the soft tissue injury has caused her immune sytem to attack itself. This is ABSOLUTELY autoimmune. CRPS is often a feature of autoimmunity.
Are you sure you know more about it than someone like her who actually has it. Are you sure you know more about it than a doctor? Doubtfully. Stfu
@@autumnpritchard7266 actually, I have a degree in this field and am a published scientific author. In addition to specializing in this field, I have a very similar illness as Kayla. I didn't comment this to be offensive, I merely commented to express my opinion and potentially give these sufferers other diagnosis and treatment options to look into. They deserve better treatments and to be happy and healthy. The conditions I mentioned have significantly better treatments than CRPS. Just trying to give hope. :)

Why are people being so mean to a woman trying to offer some help. When you have a rare diagnosis and are a part of that community, you get so much information from other patients that you are then able to bring to your doctor and ask about it. As long as you don't take online advice as a way to diagnose yourself, how is that a bad thing?
She is beautiful, and I want her to get well.

I have that! It used to be called "sympathetic dystrophy syndrome" when I was diagnosed. I stumbled in a parking lot and fell against a parked car, hitting and fracturing my right humerus. On the way down to the ground, my left arm was bent and I landed on my left elbow, which was pointed at the time.
Three days after I got my arm set, I started to feel exactly one this woman felt! The most painful was my baby finger and the ring finger - if anything touched them, it was like an electric shock, and I couldn't let anything, not even the slightest breeze or piece of the finest sick touch that hand - it was super hypersensative, I would cry when I would have to cut my nails on that hand.
Anyways, after a year of suffering with this, my wonderful family MD sent me to a neurologist. All that MD had to do was run an instrument that looked like a pizza cutter on that left hand and I pretty well hit the roof! To make a long story short, I was sent to a nerve specialist who likened this illness to a million nerves going haywire, which is why the area is so so painful! He prescribed me large but safe doses of Gabapentin, which, thank God, started to work after a few months, I felt the nerves settle down and the electric shock feeling fade away. I was also lucky enough to have a family MD who prescribed good pain killers to deal with the broken humerus as well as the sympathetic dystrophy syndrome as it was called then.
This poor woman really had the worst of it. In research, I learned that it can jump from one side of the body to the other.
I hope that you got the help you needed! It took an entire year before I found the doctor that knew what it was...a year! This happened in 1999, so I guess there just wasn't enough known about, even the name was different then!
Poor woman. Too sweet to have to go through that.
Oh my lord... I know someone can save her...
Please let's pray for her to continue to never lose hope

I've researched this... The pain is like being shot with a bb or pain ball. She's so strong... I wouldn't be able to deal with this
No, a bullet would not hurt nearly as bad as CRPS. I have CRPS and have for 9 years. The pain is indescribable. If you have every experienced nerve pain, such as hitting your shin on a metal bar, its more like that but amplified. Also think brain freeze, but 10* more intense.
It is WAY more painful than a bb a bb doesn’t even compare to this
15 years in here.. only my brain surgeries (for unrelated issues) gave me temporary relief.
Its pain full its ahh cant even describe , I live inside im on so many meds and I no longer have full use of hands 3ct due to the open wounds and pain her arm is what my face looks like

Prayers for this young lady she like human torch omg I can just imagine prayers !!

So you went and got treatment recently? I just looked up your case,
This reminds me of my wrist nerve damage! It’s perm and feels like my fingers and wrist is burning and I get electric shock feels as well! It comes in waves, obviously no where near as bad as she’s feeling , omg I can only imagine her nightmare I struggle to sleep Somtimes :( - praying for you 🧡
Sami’s TattooRemovalChannel Same here. I got nerve damage too. Got it after a hand surgery. It feels like it's either in ice or burning most of the time and weird electric shocks and tingling. Especially if something, like a sleeve, touches it, it feels like it's on fire. It's not certain is it permanent.
I broke my leg in january and both bones broke and after surgery i thought my thigh was just numb from anesthetics but no a couple days later after i stopped my pain killers my thigh started having weird pains it felt like burning.
