Honestly, Sohyang is the best female vocalist on the planet. Angelina Jordan does a great job with this song (at 13) as well, but this is a diva performance. IMO "Bridge Over Troubled Water" should be next up for Cynthia in the Sohyang pantheon.
It is a big call to say this artist is the best in the world. I recently heard Morissette Amon cover this with David Foster. IMO her performance was better than this. Also I recently heard an Australian Artist Venessa Amarosi perform live. her Vocals were absolutely insane.

So Hyang sings beautifully, perfectly but Whitney's sometimes gritty singing and phrasing as though she has actually lived the song is what I prefer. (Like the way Whitney sings "I have nothing, Nothing, NOTHING!" --She is making 3 declarative and punctuated STATEMENTS! So Hyang just sings through it). Whitney's voice is richer, fuller and doesn't seem to scream-sing or add unnecessary embellishments I get goosebumps right off the bat when Whit sings this. @@ToddSauve thanks for providing those links , very informative /enjoyable. of course I'm aware of David Foster .but there's many artists I'm not aware of ( very new to the Internet/YT ) SOHYANG was one of those. and when I come across obviously talented artists/performers even though I'm not a fan I can appreciate their great voice/talent,it's never a competition . we like ice cream and there are so many flavours to enjoy. I have my own favourite artist /singer/performer but I would never be critical/diminish another artist to favour my own ,just enjoy and be thankful we have so many great artists who give us so much pleasure. regards Tom .UK.
