  • This is part of 3 of 4 from a recent lesson with CFI Mark Erwin (www.mark1aviation.com) where we practice steep turns. In part 1 of 4 we discuss and then navigate with VOR and practice slow flight. In part 2 of 4 I get a refresher on power off stalls. In part 4 of 4, I navigate and communicate en route to KSQL for a landing and then home to KPAO. I am flying 2407N which is a Cessna 172SP with G1000.

I didn't hear any mention of rudder to stay coordinated or trim use to avoid having to force the yoke to stay level . Don't get me wrong I absolutely appreciate the video as I am learning the steep turn as well. Great instructor and thanks for taking the time to share.

Hello! Did you use a Gopro to tape this video? If yes what kind of device did you use to fix the camera in such position?
    however, great video ;)

Thanks for watching. That was a little over 6 years ago and I remember hitting the wake on my second or third steep turn ever.
