Laksa is a Malaysian dish consisting of egg or rice noodle served in curry sauce or hot soup.
Malaysia may be a small country but a dish such as laksa is cooked differently in different states. The one you see in this video is Johor Laksa. Other well-known laksas are Penang Laksa aka Asam Laksa (in my opinion is the healthiest laksa since it is a sour, fish and tamarind-based soup) and Sarawak Laksa (coconut milk and sour tamarind based served with garlic, galangal, lemon grass, topped with omelette strips, chicken strips, peeled boiled prawns, freshly chopped coriander leaves, and optionally lime).
To know more about Laksa, go to the following site: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laksa

It's more assam soup with coconut base rather than curry laksa. This chef is bad.. dont even know that curry laksa base is the fish meat stock.. An Ang Moh trying to cook local Asian dish n it's all sooooo wrong😩

What's there to complain? They adapt to their taste buds.. Just like how us melayus eat all western food with Black Pepper sauce.. and go.. FUUUHHH MEMANG PADU... or how we here eat everything here with chilli sauce.
Try eating your steak / chicken chop / Fish & Chips / western food over there with chilli sauce or ketchup.. see how they react.
Food should bring people together, and comments like yours seem to be pulling people apart.
      Food for thought?

Agree AA. Our Malaysians are very picky. Yet they don't know or even tasted some of curry mee or mee curry from ofher states and yet they are judgemental by presuming to know they are better. Infact these chefs would have gone around Malaysia and tested the food before creating this recipe to suit their palate
