My ex husband and father of my 3 kids cheated on me several times, so I kicked him out, unfortunately he grabbed all our paperwork and wouldn’t give me the papers I needed for child support, unbeknownst to me my 8 year old daughter had heard us talking, and when she got back from her dads weekend she gave me a heap of what I thought were stories she had written, then she asked me if they were the ones I needed, so I had a better look at them and realised she had written down every page of ever letter she could find from child support, I was so shocked, I was so proud of her and yet so scared at the same time, best daughter ever lol

I was injured while making an arrest. The mayor hired a “temporary “ replacement while I recovered. (The replacement mad $15 per hour less than me.) after a significant recovery process I was cleared to return to work. Instead the mayor insisted I take an extra physical ( over and above the ones given to me by my treating physician and the insurance companies independent physician.) he spent $4800 having me tested for everything INCLUDING 2 BIRTH DEFECTS. I was 50 years old and had been a police officer for 30 years so needless to say the birth defects weren’t really an issue. His doctor gave me a clean bill of health also. So he fired me for my injury and “insubordination” . He never defined the insubordination so when I sued for the violations of my rights they wound up buying me a house and new car….then I ran for mayor, won by a significant margin, AND FIRED EVERYONE INVOLVED IN MY FIRING INCLUDING THE OLD MAYORS SON. Because that’s the level of petty I strive for

    Here’s my petty story:
So almost 2 years ago now my mom and my ex stepfather were divorcing. He was very much a horrible person. I.e. he was abusive in multiple ways. He made my mom, myself, and my two younger sisters (which were his biolog children with my mom), move out of OUR house. So the day before we left, I had ordered a non-stop noise maker🤡and I put the cricket noise on. I then opened the vent and threw it inside😁. I was told that it stayed on for three weeks. He even went as far as to sleep in his camper because the noise was so annoying.
I'm not petty but in this case, I became queen.🥰

Watching this because of a story my mum told me yesterday. My Nan was the most sensible person I've ever met. She didn't drink, smoke and her biggest hobby was going to the bingo with her best friend, even then she was very strict on how much money she spent. She was like this 364 days of the year, the only day that was the exception was St Paddy's day. We are British (English) and Danish so have zero ties to Ireland at all so it always confused me. Yet every single year she would go to the pub, have a few sherries, have a dance and just generally let her hair down. My Nan passed away last year and yesterday (St Patrick day) I was talking to my mum about how she always let her hair down on this day and I never understood why. Only for my mum to laugh and tell me that she celebrated every year because it was the day her divorce from my grandad was finalised. She used to do it when he was alive so word would get back to him that she was celebrating getting rid of him and carried on even after he died. The pettiness to do this for over 40 years is at a level I will never be able to reach.

I had a co worker who was having an affair with another co worker. One afternoon when he left work, his car was missing. He got a ride home to discover his wife had sold his car, took all their money, and canceled their rent check. She reported his credit cards stolen and closed everything. She rented a truck and took everything except his clothes and personal items, including pictures. Those she burned causing enough damage to make sure he wouldn’t get their deposit back. He wore the same clothes to work for days, ended up getting fired and the last I heard he was sleeping on another coworker’s couch. The other woman left the state with her husband shorty after. The wife did all this within a few hours of finding out. I never met her but she’s my hero.

My ex husband was abusive and one day I woke up and decided I wasn’t gonna live like that or put my daughter through that anymore. I was ready to get out and get even. First, my daughter and I moved in with my dad for safety. I didn’t need any furniture but since it was all mine I decided to take everything. He had nothing when we met. Some friends packed it up and put it in a storage unit for me so I didn’t have to see him. Take all the furniture, check. Next, he thought he was so smart by putting everything in my name so it would only hurt my credit when he didn’t pay the bills. So as soon as we left I called the electric and water company to turn everything off. Leave him in the dark with no water, check and check. Then, the only vehicle we had was a beat up truck my dad gave me. I didn’t need it but my ex did for work soooo I took it. Leave him without a vehicle which cost him his job, double check. Later on he got a little one bedroom apartment and asked if he could have some of the furniture since I didn’t need it. I said sure, but first I carved “he’s an abusive asshole. Run for your life” on everything that was wood. He called me later and told me my petty little joke was childish and useless since he was able to scratch it all out. Of course making the furniture look terrible. I learned from a few mutual friends that he did not find them all and it caused problems for him with a few dates. To recap he was left with no furniture, electricity, water, truck, or job and when he did get some furniture back, it was jacked up and cost him a few dates. I wish I could’ve done more. I know there’s nothing I could do to get him back for 13 years of abuse, but at least my petty acts made me feel like I stood up to him and showed him that I’m not the same woman he used to physically and emotionally brutalize. I’m strong and someone my daughter can be proud of.

The best thing about the furniture was that I couldn’t afford a nice, climate controlled storage unit soooo all the fabric on the furniture grew mold and smelled terrible 😂. He thought he could get the smell out, but what was he gonna do, power wash the mattress??? The furniture was so messed up even before I made all my artistic carvings. I couldn’t donate it so I was gonna have to pay to either keep it in storage for $100 a month or take it to the dump. Either way that would’ve cost me hundreds of dollars. At least this way I got something out of it.

PETTY TO THE MAX LOVED IT:
My mom's best friend was cheated on after 20 years of marriage and they had a teen age son, her husband left her for an EXACT ... EXACT copy of his wife but 29 years younger.
So my broken hearted bonus auntie decided to have one last dinner party she had ALL the sea food you could think of and meats... At the end everyone took what was left on their plates and shoved it in the vents DEEP in the vents along with any remaining drinks... The juice from the sea food was poured on all the carpets and the WHOLE house was carpeted. OH and some oysters made it BEHIND cabinets and IN the lights and celling fans .... She also released some rats and garden snakes in the house... My Auntie made sure there was lots of food for the rats and snakes and turned the heat up all the way in the dead of summer.
Any pipes in the house were wrapped with RAW dead fish then taped with a roll of duck tape ( Us Canadians can fix ANYTHING with duck tape) I digress... so my cheating ex uncle came back from Hawaii with his new vegan little honeycomb a week after my Auntie moved out, they had to hire people to remove the maggot filled fishes from under all the sinks.
Hehe! They spent a fortune having the place re done after all that his new honey was still complaining about the smell and left for the USA.

He came home drunk, beat her so she said I'll make you some coffee which she had spiked with sleeping pills. He passed out and she sat up all night sewing him in between the sheets. She then took a broom and beat him. He woke up in a stupper and couldn't get out. She left and never regretted it, said she wished she had done it sooner. I laughed so hard as she told her story.

When he went to see it , the house he got to was a massive house with a long driveway, he rang the bell and a woman answered and he said excuse me but you have a car for sale for £10 quizzically, yes she said and took him to the garage. Sitting there was a brand new bmw with 15 miles on the clock. This can't be it he said, oh it is she replied my husband has buggered off to Paris with our au pair. He left me a letter saying sell the car and send me half, so I am sending a letter back with a copy of the bill of sale and a £5 note. He couldn't stop laughing and bought the car.

The pettiest thing I did was when I was 9 years old, and this girl decided I wasn't good enough to play with the rest of the class during recess. So I went home that night, went onto my father's work computer, and wrote mean hate mail to everyone in the class (including me) except her. I went to school the next day and slid the notes into people's bags during lunchtime. After the first two kids discovered theirs and burst into tears I also "discovered" my note and put on the greatest acting show of my life. More kids found notes and the teacher ended up going through everyone's bags to find them. when the teacher figured out who the only person who didn't get a mean note was, she sent her to the dean's office with the entire stack of everyone's notes. The girl got extra homework for a week and had to write nice apology/complementary letters to everyone. It was the greatest moment of my life.

The pettiest thing I ever did got me kicked out of band, but it was worth it. The band teacher didn't know anything about percussion and had lucked out her first four years because she had a student there that already knew how to play. The year after he graduated was my freshman year, and transferring in from a much bigger school with an entire percussion department, I became the replacement student who knew how to play. She said I was like a little savior because she literally did not know how to teach someone to drum, nor did she seem interested in trying, she just gave me the sheet music and trusted that I knew what I was doing. I did, so it was never much of an issue. Our first concert was super early in the year, but we had a second much bigger one right before christmas. The stipulation she made was that if we missed the first one we would be forced to sit out the second, as well as cut half our grade, and we would have to sit out the rest of the term in the library. A little strict, I thought, but she really was an awful teacher and human being, so it was the kind of power trip that seemed right up her alley. Everyone made the first concert except one girl who had to be life flighted to the hospital for a sudden medical condition. Despite that, and bringing in her doctors notes and everything, the teacher would not excuse her absence from the concert, she was banned from going to the big one and wouldn't get more than a C despite being one of the hardest working students in that class. I really couldn't give a rat's behind about band, but this girl was so DEVASTATED it pissed me off. So when it came time for the second concert, I just didn't go. I knew it would fail me, and I knew it would affect the rest of the band, but at that point I didn't care. She absolutely reamed me about it, saying how embarassing it was trying to put on a christmas concert with NO PERCUSSION. All I said was maybe she should either learn to play all the instruments or let the entire band participate in every concert. I was sent to the office, spent the rest of the term in the library, and was transferred out after that. The rest of the band was pretty split on being mad at me, but once they knew why, most of them let it go. They had to bring in a TA just for percussion since there was no longer anyone who knew how, and Mrs. Prissypants is apparently allergic to the drumset. I know it was a dumb irresponsible thing to do, but I still don't regret it. Me and that girl became sort of friends after that, and she ended up sticking up for me senior year when her own boyfriend started bullying me. So I guess it all comes around, eventually.

So, for various reasons the wedding was in secret, no one on his family knew, so after we signed the divorce I told him to come pick up his copy, but he never did. After waiting for 3 weeks, I decided to send them over mail. Not just to him thought, I sent a copy of all the evidence of abuse and the divorce papers to his family, his job & his friends.

After we hired employees, I realized one woman saying inappropriate things to him in front of me. I asked him if I could see their phone conversations because I wanted to understand why she thought she could do that. He said he’d leave me if I did. He left his phone inside once and I looked. There were tons of videos and messages between them that proved he was going behind my back with her. I made him fire her then I fired him. Then I kicked him out of my house and gave him an hour to pack up. My business runs so much better now and the extra room in my bed is so nice.

I was in a relationship for almost 3 years to someone who was mentally, emotionally, and sometimes physically abusive. I tried to leave, but he would physically stop me from leaving. He was constantly claiming that I was cheating on him with any/all of my male coworkers and friends, but honestly he was just insecure as I was either working or cleaning, cooking, and getting everything ready for him for when he got home from work.Him and I broke up February 13th, and I texted one of my male coworker friends that we had broken up…he brought me coffee for Valentine’s Day and let me cry to him before our shift. I had previously won some movie tickets at work for February 15th and invited one of my girlfriends to attend. She ended up cancelling; so I invited work friend to go instead, as he had been willing to come into work early, bought me coffee, and comforted me to make my Valentine’s Day better. He said yes, and we went as friends. We ended up getting married almost two years ago, have a baby girl together, and have a happy and healthy relationship.

Oh, I took pettiness to a whole new level. In the '70's and '80's in South Africa Military Service was mandatory when you left high school (hence a lot of traumatised 20-odd year olds later as most of them were active duty). Afterwards they could be called up to report in with not much notice. Well very long story made shorter I got married at 21 to someone I barely knew, the marriage lasted 9 months. We split up for various reasons one being he cheated and I moved into an apartment on my own (rough side of town - it's what I could afford). Unbeknownst to me, he'd moved in with a 17-year old on the other side of town. I kept receiving his mail and I told him over and over to change the address otherwise I would just throw it away. He told me I was 'obliged' to bring it to him and I told him if he doesn't fetch it himself it's on him. I found out he had a key cut to my flat and would go in and check it while I wasn't there - then help himself to items he wanted. Noticed some stuff was going missing and blamed my cleaner and then myself for just going crazy. His mail arrived, callup papers included. I took it all - popped it in a sealable plastic bag, put it into a tupperware - filled that with water and stuck it in the freezer (illegal to dispose of callup papers and he never checked my freezer). The military police then arrived about 2 weeks later at my flat and I sent them to his address. I defrosted his mail and left it on the table. The next day they came back to verify his claim that I'd deliberately kept them from him - the papers were right there. He was arrested and spent 3 months in military prison (not sure how that works) for willfully ignoring callup papers. I have no regrets.

I admit I was petty. I owned an inn where I was the executive chef, pastry chef and manager. Kept me busy. My then husband worked part time as a bartender. So he sort of worked. I heard noise in the Penthouse and thought, did we rent it? So I went downstairs to check the books. Found out it was unrented. Took a set of keys and went up. Found my husband in bed with one of my wait staff. An empty bottle of Champagne.
Told them both to get out and said by the way you don’t have a job anymore you are fired. She said you can’t fire me. I laughed and said I can. I can also charge you with theft as you didn’t pay for the room or champagne. If you want your husband to be notified cops are a good way to go. She said it is his place so we didn’t steal. I laughed again and said oh dear did you think he owned this place. Only my name is on the title. Get out now, or I will dial the police right now.
It was extremely satisfying. Took quite a while after but I have moved countries and married to an amazing man for 15 years. He is still single. 🤣

I'll share my own pettiness. After 20 years of marriage my husband came home one morning and and announced he'd been having an affair and was divorcing me for his mistress. Nifty. The kids and I were devastated. To pack worse on, the kids were treated poorly and at times viciously by mistress/girlfriend they were over to spend time with dad. Dad didn't do anything about it and that made them feel worse about an already yucky feeling situation. We decided that we needed to channel our frustrations into something creative. We have always enjoyed making soaps. So we did that, opened an Etsy shop...in which we named all the soaps after feelings we have/had regarding EVERYTHING that has gone on. Made some cash off the soaps and told/telling the whole filthy (get it? Filthy..soap..) story one bar at a time.

My little act of pettiness. (Sorry for it being long.)
I was in the Marines when this happened. It was a couple of days still till New Year's and I was released from duty several hours ahead of usual. Having told my GF I wouldn't be off until such time, I decided to go surprise her. Didn't go home or change first, just went straight there, still in uniform. I get there and she doesn't answer the door, but lights on in the house indicates she's home and in her bedroom so I let myself in. I get to her bedroom and see the door is left cracked open and I peek in to see her getting DP'd. I open the door and walk across the room to her dresser to grab the the things i gave her for Christmas and left. Found out a few days later that the guy on bottom was her ex before me and that she got back with him. Fast forward 2 or 3 months, I'm in NC for some new training and I get a call from her out of the blue. She's whining and cry about how her ex she cheated on me with left her for his ex that he had gotten pregnant. Me, pissed off and not giving a shit, bluntly asked her if she knew what kind of a sound a clam makes. There was a pause and I heard her say no and ask why before flipping my phone shut to end the call. Lit a new cigarette and got a couple of drags when she called back asking if I just hung up on her. I said, "I don't know. Did it sound like this?" And flipped my phone shut again. Never heard from her again.

He was amazing, until he started being awkward with other guys around my age, bartenders, dancers in clubs and every other guy that basically lingered around us. I was a bit upset when he asked me what were my thoughts about one of my friends at a birthday party (very attractive guy but also a close friend of mine) so I tried to diffuse the situation and acting blonde. Eventually he left me 6 months after we met. I was too good for him he said. I cried a lot! Few months later we were at a club at my friend's bday (The same friend he was paying a lot of attentions to) party and he shows up uninvited, he tries to talk to my friend in several occasions, and my friend was not amused cause he knew my frustration and how the story ended, so in the pitch of our party me and the bday boy kissed in front of him announcing everyone we were a couple! About 30 years ago my exwife and I lived in an apt building. We had a neighbor lady who was really sweet and kind. She was a little older than us and treated us like we were her kids. One day I came home she was crying. She’d found some VHS tapes of her boyfriend having sex with other women in their bed. A big fight ensued with him moving out and leaving her alone. He moved out so fast he left a lot of his stuff behind. One day his Mother called to ask if she could come get his things. We helped our neighbor box up everything and found the tapes. My exwife suggested she label them as his baby tapes. When the Mother showed up we loaded all his things in her car. The neighbor and my exwife had a small box of those tapes marked K****n’s Baby Movies. They gave them to her and she was so thrilled she said she was going to rush home and watch them. Basically, nothing good happened after that. It was paramount to a volcanic explosion.
Years later when my ex and I were getting divorced I remembered her pettiness and she basically got everything she wanted in the divorce. 🤷🏻‍♂️

My bullies in high school loved to talk smack about everybody under the sun. I was so disengaged that I just ignored them. Senior year, I found out they were bullying an 8 year old for being "fat". I told her mom that I witnessed it (mom found out cuz one of the bullies stupidly tagged her daughter on a post she made mocking about her weight) and her mom asked me if I could give a statement to the disciplinary office.
I agreed. I went to give my statement. The teacher told me if I could call them, and gladly I went. I waltzed to their classroom and announced to their class that they were being summoned for bullying a child.

Petty story: My son's father and I had ended up splitting before he was 2 and as a result, my son didn't know his father well. So I decided to move to let them get close. Unfortunately, due to a few other unforeseen events, we ended up having to stay with him. Things only got worse we Covid struck and we found we couldn't get our own place.
Needless to say, his father is a complete ass and acted as though I should be his own personal made since I didn't have a job yet (he was a complete slob or it wouldn't have been so bad) and insisted it continued even after I got a full-time job and was doing the homeschooling for my son while lockdown was going on. It became a point of contention to the point of him saying horrible things to me that my son still hasn't let go to this day.
When I saw my way out, I waited until he was sleeping since we had to leave early in the morning. He never set foot in the kitchen so I left a massive pile of garbage in the corner that he would have to clear out, poured some rotting food in the sink for good measure, and then left garbage and all my unwanted items in the room we were leaving, including a rather full litter box I moved in from outside. We left that morning without a word about anything. About time he cleaned up my shit the way I did his.

Story Time: Years ago I ended up moving three-quarters of the way across the country with what I thought was the love of my life, but in reality was a narcissistic, gas-lighting, master manipulative psychopath who managed to hide his true colors for over a year... I could write a book about how awful he was and probably still is, but the main issue was that I was thousands of miles away from home surrounded by him and all his friends from college whom he'd managed to convince that I had severe psychological problems and not to believe a word I said so that I literally had no one to ask for help. I worked with a friend of his who ratted me out both times I got a raise (90 days and 6 month reviews so not big raises), after which my darling beau would demand more money for bills for the apartment I already couldn't afford my half of the rent for, keeping me totally broke. So I made the most of a situation I had no escape from until I finally made some friends (which is really hard to do when you're being abused like that because... who can you trust, yo?). Everywhere we went he would start calling me names and being really shitty to me in public so one day I started walking with a severe limp, knocking things off of store shelves and falling on the ground. He would (of course) turn around and start screaming at me, once actually calling me r*tarded, and I would fake-cry saying "I can't help it, honey, it's because of the accident" I'd cry harder, like bawling with big tears and all and would continue "If you would just buy me the cane or let me stay home... It's just so hard to walk!" People would stare, yell at him, help me up, management was called a few times. We were banned from a total of four grocery stores before he started just walking away and leaving me there whenever he'd see me start my routine. He left me at so many stores around the city that I had to get a bus pass. It was genuinely the only thing at the time that brought me any joy at all. In the end I've been free of him for over 10 years. It was hell getting away from him, saving money by hiding cash in my car and slowly moving my things into a storage unit until I had just one suitcase of clothes I could throw in my car while secretly looking for a room to rent, but I did and now I laugh like hell over it the way some would laugh over a narrowly escaped brush with death.

My petty story: I'm a high schooler and this happened to me this year. Throughout our school year, like every schools, we are given assignments to assess our abilities. We are often given group works (5-7 members) or pair works, based on our alphabetical order. This one time in particular we were given a pair work and I had to do it with this guy. He was one of the top students in our class and so was I. Usually, when we are given group or pair work, I would be the one working (because I'm the most naive person ever). But this time I couldn't. I had a national competition coming up and so I asked my partner to do it. But I didn't just go up to him and tell him rather he just came up to me and said " do it!". I said that I can't do it since I have a lot on my plate and basically begged him to do it. It wasn't only the competition, I also had finals coming up and I wasn't ready. Idk if he just thought, because he was a top student, his studies were more important or if he was just ignorant, but he kept telling me to do it and I kept asking him to do it. He didn't have a phone (we were asked to make a logo) but I told him I could give him mine or he could go to the computer room and do it, but he refused.
The weekend arrives and I had a feeling that he wasn't going to do it and so I watched a few videos and did it. Actually, I did 2. And then I thought and promised myself that if he didn't do it, I'm not giving his name(ie, say it was all my work- it was) and sure enough, he didn't do it. Mind you, he had a whole week to do it. On the submission day, he came up and asked me if I had done it, I said no. Knowing that I have done it he said" well we're both going to fail lol" and then said" you better start doing it now" and my blood boiled. We didn't submit it that day. The next day, I was in the library and this dude comes right up to me and says "let's go and do it" . I think he thought I'd be like " no... I've already done it. It's ok!", But no! I said, " how about you do yours and I'll do mine." He flipped. He started guilt tripping me and saying I'm not doing my responsibility as a group member. He started yelling at me and I kept my cool and gave him calm answers. When everyone started looking at him, he leaves. I saw him do it with his friend's phone and I didn't regret what I did next.
I had two logos, I took one and showed it to the teacher under my name only and gave the other one to my friend. A couple of minutes later, he comes and asks the teacher. The teacher loves to torment students and hence saysthat the assignment was only mine. It was kinda like a final but he had another one, he just wanted what I made. But the teacher refused saying only I did it. I don't regret it but some of my classmates think I'm a bad person because of this probably because they're his friends but I couldn't care any less as my friends support me too.

(I wouldn’t want to do a group project by myself and give someone else credit either) Then you found the time, and instead of working with him, did it secretly, and refused to give him credit…… even though that is what you had originally asked him to do? Yeah that’s not cool. It isn’t petty, it was selfish….. you say he must have thought his studies were more important but it sounds like you are the one who felt that way. It’s a good thing you’re young because you’ve got a lot of growing up to do. This behavior is generally common in high school, not so much as you get older.

Not sure if this counts but here it is: Shortly before I graduated college I allowed a former close friend and his “wife” (they claimed to have had a courthouse wedding but there was no proof and she was a narcissistic, pathological liar) to move in with me while they tried to get on their feet. It was 3 months of living hell. We had to write notes to communicate with each other because having a conversation with her didn’t work. It was decided they would move out and I would find someone new. Petty part 1 - My Mumzy has a school break that was around the same time they planned to move out. She came to stay with us and was vague about how long she would be staying, which pissed off the wife but she couldn’t say anything. Petty part 2 - We kept getting their mail after they moved out and the wife refused to give a forwarding address to the post office. They showed up super early one day demanding their mail, which I gave them. I once again reminded them to update their address. To which the wife replied there was nothing I could do about and threatened to report me for withholding their mail. Shortly after a working license for the husband came in the mail. She again threatened to report me if I didn’t bring it to them. I said I wouldn’t be pushed around, wrote “return to sender, recipient no longer lives here”, sent her a picture, and popped it back into the mail, and blocked their numbers. We stopped receiving their mail shortly after. 😊

This story is so insignificant compared to everyone else's but this is probably the pettiest I have been in my life.
I moved to a new state and was buying some lamps off FB marketplace. I met with the girl (let's call her Lisa) and we got talking after I paid for the lamps. Lisa and I became friends after finding some common interests. Yay new friend after moving!
Well, we chatted every now and then. Lisa was pretty self absorbed (interrupting and trying to one-up me on weird things), but was going through some hard times so I just listened. Also, oddly, Lisa was always trying to sell me her old stuff.
She knew that I lived beneath the poverty line as a med student's wife (with kids). And for some reason I thought she was sincere about our relationship, I could not tell you why since it's been years.
One day we were talking about Halloween costumes. I mentioned how hard it was to find a chameleon costume for my toddler boy (family costumes from Tangled). And that the ones I found were too expensive. Lisa excitedly mentioned that she had a frog costume that didn't fit her son yet (younger than mine) and that I could borrow it and make it look like a chameleon. I promised to make the tail and tongue detachable. I told her she could keep my work as compensation for letting me borrow it. Lisa agreed. I thanked her profusely.
After buying materials, and sewing for hours, I sent a pic of the finished product, a few days before Halloween. Lisa said it was cute and by the way she didn't want it anymore so I owed her $5.
I don't know why, but that was the straw that broke the camel's back. I realized Lisa only saw me as her trusty yard sale customer and not a friend, so I paid her. It was $5 alright. In. All. pennies.
The perfect part was Lisa didn't even want to see me when I came to drop off the money so I did what she said and left it in the mailbox.
It's the only time I felt great about being petty and it's so stupid. 🤣

I got cheated on while I was living in London and dating this guy. I decided to move back to Los Angeles and was going to cancel the trip to Cancun we had planned to go on before the break up but I decided to take his ex best friend who he fell out with instead out of spite. Not only that I took a suitcase of my ex's designer stuff like Prada Shirts, Ferregamo Loafers, Hugo Boss suits, Moschino, Versace, in a Tumi suitcase when I moved out. I took it to a local gay bar in Cancun and gave it all away to boys in the bar, I got lots of shots after. One of my best vacations ever and I got my revenge threefold, I still got to go on my trip, I got to hook up with his hotter former bestie, and I got to be extremely petty yet charitable at the same time.

My petty story... I was getting ready for my date with a guy I had been dating since high school. After he got off work he came over & almost immediately after sitting down & kicking off his shoes he fell asleep. I'm sitting next to him annoyed because I was really looking forward to our date, I was dressed nice makeup & all. So, while he was sleeping I figured out how to prevent this from happening again. I painted his toenails bright red & once they were dry I put his shoes on him & told him it was time for him to go home because it was getting late. He got up & left so after he left I went to hangout with friends because it was still early. The next morning I got a call & he didn't sound too happy. I could hear his mom laughing hysterically in the background. He said he got up that morning & on his way to the restroom he caught a glimpse of his feet & thought his toes were bleeding. I'm crying by this point but what made it more funny was that his mom didn't have any polish remover.

Not dating, but friends. I was always the second choice for everything, plans cancelled on me, invited on dates just for me to third wheel. Forgot my birthday. She ended up leaving for college, then texted me (I was visiting the college on a separate trip and really wanted to meet up) that I was too immature and no one would ever love me because I was so clingy (i.e. texted a few times a week). I have her email, phone number, and password memorized. Scammers and spam will always come for her.
Edit: she called her exes abusive. I know them still, years later, and they are wonderful. She was very emotionally abusive. I spent 8 months telling myself I wasn't important just so I could rationalize her behavior.

#1. My daughters’ sperm donor is super afraid of glitter. 🧐 when I say afraid I mean like if someone else was afraid of poisonous snakes. Anyway, he decided one day to push my buttons while I was severely pregnant and said some not so nice things to me. Lol 😂 I had recently bought lots of glitter “just incase” 😜 since he was running late for work I volunteered to start his car while he got dressed. I took all 6 bottles of glitter and managed to pour all of them in his vents. He worked as a landscaper and since he was late he had to drive to the work site!!! On his way there I went to my mothers for a couple days ;) the best part of my day is he turned on the air 5 mins before arriving and looked like he was the glittery troll from the movie… mowing 7 different yards including popular restaurants. :)

ok, i feel like confessing so here it is: Was married for 5 years had two kids and eventho i was very much in love i realised he was a bad dad. Not spending any time with our daughters is what broke me. So, i just stopped sleeping with him. After about a year of this he started to express his feelings of not getting any but i didnt care because i had explained to him( many times) that if he would be more loving toward our daughters i would be more loving toward him. Ofcource the dumbass didnt change, he just found a new girl half my age and when i found out i made him leave. After a few months i heard his new girlfriend was pregnant and we werent even devorced jet so...... i befriended his new girlfriend and "helped" her understand what a idiot he is. They are no longer together and i have a great new friend. We are making sure our kids grow up together and the best thing about it is how incredibly uncomfortable he is with the whole situation. Oh and eventho the new girl has a really nice income i convinced her to demand childsupport. Now a few years later im happy with my girls and even more happy to know he has no money and lives in a tiny dump of a place.

38 years ago I caught my husband and his girlfriend doin’ the deed in our bed. I came home early. Surprise. Rather than screaming like a banshee I told him to pack his shit and get out. I gave him three hours. I called my late dad, who owned a concrete and black top company and told him what happened. Daddy was my hero. He drove his largest concrete mixer truck to our house and filled hubby’s classic Ford Mustang convertible with concrete. Hubby came out screaming and he and my dad had a showdown. Daddy finally told him that if he reported the damage to his insurance or the police that it wouldn’t be his car next time… it would be him encased in concrete. Yes, there was damage. Yes, there were threats made. But my divorce was finalized by him in record time. I’ve been married to a wonderful man for 35 years and dad never once filled his car with concrete.

The only petty story I can think of that I'm remotely proud of was in college. It was well into the second semester and my roommates and I had reached that point you sometimes hit when you're still mostly civil but you're bickering over petty things and making snide remarks and can feel that even the "good-natured" joking isn't entirely joking anymore. It could have been worse but it was still tense. So one evening they decide to amuse their boyfriends by dumping snow on me in the shower. The boyfriends didn't come into the bathroom but I assume they were in the living room waiting for the shriek.
They missed the first time. Even with my glasses off I could see this weird pile of snow on the floor of the shower after hearing them enter and scramble out. It was honestly pretty weird. I had very little experience with snow so this was a new one on me... or off me, I guess. And they seemed so pants-crappingly scared to linger that I figured they were done, fired and missed, oh well... but no, a few minutes later another volley comes over the curtain rod and scores a direct hit on my shoulders and back as they scramble out again.
I was bullied a lot in school. I've never really had a knack for practical joking. I still don't understand how anyone thinks that's a friendly kind of action. And we weren't really on those terms anymore. So I took great satisfaction in not making so much as a squeak of surprise. Nothing but shower sounds in that bathroom. I rinsed off, got myself clean and dry, got dressed, walked out to some very blank looks and the comment that they'd thrown snow into the shower but must have missed me. Y'know, like I wouldn't notice a bunch of mooks scrambling into the bathroom and slinging snow over the rail. Sheesh.
Anyway, I just calmly said, yeah... I know, the snow landed on me the second time.
    Crickets.
And that was it. They might have asked why I didn't scream or something. I don't actually remember. I just remember proudly that I sucked the very immortal soul out of their passive-aggressive "friendly" roommate prank by just not reacting. And the memory of their buzzkilled expressions still gives me life.

Long story short, I ended up with the house, the cats, and some of the friends. During Covid I met a super hot, fit, sweet, intelligent man who has his shit together and we’ve been dating almost two years. The pettiest thing I did indirectly: I was divorcing my ex husband and we both had to sign divorce documents in front of a notary (uncontested divorce is cheaper) . I managed to get him to meet me at the courthouse but he decided to throw a tantrum and drag me out of the building where I ran for my truck to try lock myself inside for safety. He caught me and proceeded to attack me, I lived 7 years like that so for me this was just another day but I wanted to get away. Well apparently that was the day other ppl decided to care and called the cops 😁. They asked me if I wanted to press charges, I told them if he'll sign the divorce papers, no. So these divorce papers he never legally had to sign, could have just walked away from and cost me a ton more money to get him served, he now had to sign or go to jail. He signed them and still went to jail. That's been years ago now and I'm happily remarried to an amazing man, due to give birth any day. The ex ended up with his sister in law and lives with his mom. 😂

He didn't want me to be able to get married so refused to sign the divorce papers. Just so he could keep some sort of control over my life. We were married 11 years but seperated the last 2 of those years. I finally called my sister and told her if the papers weren't signed and at my door the next day I would not stop my niece from calling me AUNTY-MOMMY. Needless to say he was at my door first thing the following morning with those papers. And divorce was finalized on my birthday that year. But because he made me wait and I got pregnant with my new man's baby while we were still legally married I did not turn down the offer to file for child support from him when the mediator told me it was legal for me to so until the divorce was finalized. On my birthday I through a birthday/divorce party! We are all close now and look sack and laugh about it. (Their marriage only lasted 9 years. I see a pattern lol)

Petty/ Karam story: I dated someone for 4 years. I did so much for him it's honestly a little embarrassing how good I was to this man when he was such a dirt bag. Anyways, after four years of dating and some very suspicious behaviors I found out he had cheated on me by catching him on the phone with her. It got pretty ugly.
Unfortunately, neither of us could afford to break our lease so we continued to have to live with each other for six months while he continued to date the girl he cheated on me with (She lived in San Francisco). It was AWFUL. But I made the best of it. I lost weight (because of the break up) and started getting into shape. I walked around in tiny form fitting clothing constantly. He frequently made comments about how good I looked and tried to crawl into my bed on multiple occasions (while still in a relationship) and had to walk away rejected on multiple occasions. I would also have my new much more attractive, older boyfriend (now husband) park right outside our apartment whenever he went to take me on dates and would put the flowers and gifts he got my right on the kitchen table for my ex to see. It was glorious to watch his face whenever this happened.
The cherry on top was that he was supposed to move to San Francisco to live with her. Quit his job and everything. A week before we were moving out she dumped him. He had no job, no where to live and left with his beat up POS mini van and an old dirty mattress. He had to couch surf with friends for months. Sooo satisfying 😌

I think one of the pettiest things I've done was when my husband and I first started living together. I like to make pancakes from scratch. Well, at first they were kinda on the thin side. He made a comment about how he prefers his mom's pancakes because they're thicker. So I found a new recipe and while using all the batter, I made 3 pancakes...let me repeat that, batter (meant to make like 15 pancakes) was used to make only THREE pancakes. Them bitches were THICK.
He was like, "Whoa, I can't finish".

@@kcanded Ok, so here it is. It'll be a lot of scrolling and screenshots but I put down my recipe. Here it is, Raven's Meatloaf:
      Ingredients:
      -1lb ground meat
      -1/4 Sweet Onion (diced)
      -Couple shakes of garlic powder
      -Couple pinches of salt
-Few grinds of fresh ground pepper
-"Count to 2 Mississippi" squirt of mustard
-"Count to 2 Mississippi" squirt of ketchup
-"Count to 2 Mississippi" squirt of BBQ Sauce
-A couple of shakes of Worshtishire (or however the fuck you spell that shit...my ohone don't even know...the "W" sauce).
      -2 large eggs
      -a splash of milk
-enough bread crumbs to make sure the mixture is firm, but soft, but also not runny (start with at least 1 cup and kind of eyeball it from there)
      Directions:
      -Preheat oven to 400F
-In small bowl, crack eggs. Make sure not to get eggshell in it. Once the eggs are in the clear, add them and ALL the other ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Yup, really just dumping the ingredient list all at once.
-With CLEAN hands, mix ingredients together thoroughly in the bowl. Yes, it gross but no other method yields as good results. Yes, it is cold and squishy, but it will be worth it.
-Put mixture in a greased (food safe lubrication of your choice, i.e olive oil, coconut oil, butter, lard, etc...). Pack down as best you can for everything to fit. Place loaf into preheated overn for cook at least 40 minutes before you should start checking on it until the outside and inside look done (this is due to varying differences in ovens). It should have a nice "crust" on the top.
-When cooked all the way through, pull out of the oven (remember to turn the oven off too!). Let sit to cool for about 5-10 minutes. Slice and serve. It's ok if it falls apart when serving. Just use a serving spoon if that happens.

    How petty am I?
After renovating the apartment I leased from my let’s say “relative” from top to bottom, said “relative” had an argument with my dad and evicted me without notice. Just put my stuff out. So after going to the courts and the police station and realizing that because we didn’t have proper paperwork and it was a family agreement and I had no legal standing I was granted the opportunity to go back to the apartment and remove my property.
I took everything. I took the cabinets I had installed I took all of the furniture drapery linens dishes etc. obviously and then when I realized I couldn’t take all of the tiling in the floor work I had done not to mention the fully glass wall I installed in the bathroom I got a hammer and a chisel and I sat down and destroyed every tile every piece of wood and every square inch of glass.
    🌚I guess you’d say I’m petty 🤣

My submission for (hopefully) Part 2!
My pettiest moment was the one job I've been fired from. My manager (we'll call him "Chad") pulled me aside at the beginning of my shift and said he was letting me go because I "wasn't improving enough" (Total BS since his assistant manager, who I worked with much more often, had told me the day before that I was the most improved in the kitchen. Truth is he didn't like that a 19 yr. old girl was smarter than him). Anyway, he fired me but then had the audacity to ask me to stay for my shift that night since it was Friday (our busiest night). I thought for a second and then agreed. I waited until we were mid dinner rush and then grabbed my coat and told him I was going home. He looked stunned and said "You can't leave, we're really busy" I looked at him and said "What are you gonna do, Chad... fire me?" He went full surprised Pikachu face as I walked out the door. Ngl, I was pretty proud of myself.

Not my story but my favorite petty story was from an old middle school teacher. Her husband passed away and her and her young daughters would visit his grave weekly and leave a bottle of mt. Dew for him. Well they started to notice the bottles disappearing and sometimes left empty at his grave. Someone was drinking the soda they were leaving for their dad/husband! (Seriously who steals from someone’s grave?!) Well the youngest daughter had the idea to pee in one of the bottles they left and if you didn’t know, Mt. Dew looks very similar to pee. Needless to say the thief never took another bottle from the gravesite again!

My friend who was living overseas with her boyfriend, cleared their apartment when she caught him cheating. When the bf went out looking for job, she packed and left their apartment. She packed the stuff from their pantry including the sack full of rice. Left him a can of cat food and brought the cat with her. When she settled in her new apartment, she sent the pantry staff to her family back home, including the sack of rice. Everybody from her side are happy after that break-up 😁

Speaking of petty, my older brother who tormented me relentlessly as a child went bald in his early 30's and is very self conscious of it. I have deliberately kept my hair long just to taunt him. I often insist on meeting outside on breezy days just so he can see my flowing locks in the wind. I buy combs just to leave them out when he is around my home. Sometimes I buy them just to throw away in front of him, complaining my hair is just TOO thick for them.
I have even had a hair dryer on when he comes to my door.
This has been going on for more than 10 years now and I never get tired of watching his heart break a little.

My Petty Story: I married young and we are still going strong. But even married people can be petty. I think we were married 8 years and I asked my husband to take the lights off the Christmas tree and take the tree apart. I had already taken off all the ornaments and I had a baby to tend to, along with a 6 and 4 year old. The next day i saw that the tree wasn't in the box so i went to finish the job i asked him to. It turns out, he didn't take the lights off, he just pulled apart the tree. An hour into the task, I was a crying mess (lack of sleep can do that). My mother called and so politely ask with her sailor mouth asked me. "Why in the hell are you crying" after I explained why I was crying, she promptly told me to suck it up and explained that you don't get mad and cry or yell, you prove your point. She asked if I had utility scissors and then explained what I should do... This is what I did: I got a trash bag and the scissors and sat on the floor by the tree and cut off every light tangled in the dismantled branches. Each piece of Christmas lights was about 3 to 5 inches long. I bagged them up, put away the last of the decorations, cooked dinner, tended to the kids sent everyone to bed saying I needed a few minutes alone and that I would be up shortly. I then proceeded to dump every last bit of the cut up lights in the driver side of his car. The next morning when he asked why I did that, I simply said....If I ask you to do something, do it right. Next time I might cut up something you really like. 😘

So instead of teaching you to communicate with your husband or get therapy, to deal with being someone who can't control their emotions to the point of crying over undone shores, she taught you how you can be the crazy wife by being toxic and threatening by destroying property to prove a point.
The ppl in the video all deserved to get revenge on, they were cheaters abusers or dumped their s.o. unceremoniously.
Your husband didn't do a shore.
Your mil sounds toxic by dismissing your feelings and saying to suck it up.
but then you followed her advice and probably still do this bs to your husband when he doesn't do what you want ?

If your man does weaponised incompetence, you either talk about bounderies and give ultimatums or you walk if you're not appreciated.
If you were normal and you'd fixed the issue together, you'd know it happened bc you were understood and empathised with and it was done to make you happy and bc you're team.
If he doesn't, the he doesn't respect you and you leave him.
However now when things are done, you still don't have respect or understanding, you know it's done because he feels threatened by your crazy.

My petty revenge story. Last year, my now ex-husband decided over 10 years of marriage was too much. He had just turned 46 - I was 52. He started hooking up with a gal from where I work, though she was in a different department. We had known her and her husband (yep, she was still married!) for about five years at the time. She is NINETEEN YEARS YOUNGER than he is. But hey, she wrote him love letters like the one where she said she'd waited the whole five years to "have a chance" with him and how he was her soulmate. Yeah, you see where that is going. So he was on probation at the time and part of it involved him having "no inappropriate contact" with me because we were living together. He started getting argumentative and yelling a lot, throwing things around, basic garbage behavior. I sat him down and told him this is what I will do if you don't drop her like a hot potato right now and I will have no problem following through with it. Among what I said I would do was to clean him out financially and have a PPO filed, kick him out, and file for divorce. He didn't, so I did. And then he violated the protection order the same day he got served. So I had him picked up. His truck was left in my driveway and it was full of his stuff, which I took back in the house. While he was in jail until the little twit bonded him out I:
Had the truck repossessed as he was still making payments on it.
Emptied the joint bank account and transferred EVERYTHING to my account in my name only. I did leave him $2 in the bank to keep the account open.
Filed the taxes and did the same with the refund money for federal and state.
Sold everything I could except his clothes (kept those so he'd have clothes when he got out - I was nice about that).
Told EVERYBODY what happened and why.
Filed for divorce and had him served in jail.

here's a story of mine that isn't very big, but still makes me laugh years later:
i shared an apartment with two girls, one of them that had recently moved in. the bathroom sink kept clogging because the new girl let whatever loose hair that fell out from brushing her hair every morning fall and mostly get rinsed down the drain - but a lot of times there was hair ALL over the sink. also, being the only one in the apartment who knew how to unclog a sink, it got annoying fairly quickly.
so i just started gathering up whatever hair she left (easy to recognise as it was dyed blue) and put it in a pile next to her toothbrush. it only took a few days of me doing this before she started cleaning up her hair, and there was never a loose hair in the sink again up until the day she moved out ✌🏻

The pettiest thing someone else did to me... One of my friends broke it off with a girl he dated and she thought somehow I was the reason, eventhough our friendship was totally platonic. Anyways, at the same time I was in love with a guy that I started dating, she stalked me and found our flirtation and somehow tracked him down and started dating him out of revenge (!!). I was young and too kind so I let him date us both for some weeks until he made up his mind, finally he said he wanted me and broke it off with her. She had been falling in love with him for real so she convinced him into one last night together, I found out and dumped him. They ended up being in a relationship and she hated my guts for knowing he was only with her as a second option. The thing was, me and him had known each other for years so we continued to be friends while they were together, I dont think I have ever been so hated by anyone. She stalked and harrased me via phone, sms and social media for years. Hahaha.

I love the petty too! 🤣 If anyone is thinking of an idea for their brand of petty. If you're told to leave the home and they're not there to see, take all the food. Pantry, baking goods and especially the fridge/freezer. You don't have to keep it, give it to friends or donate to a shelter. Oh, don't forget the booze. Especially if you have unopened bottles of wine, makes perfect gifts for family, friends, etc. When you empty out the freezer, empty out the ice. If you just have ice trays, take them with you. If its an automatic ice machine, take the basket with you. Flip the switch to stop the ice from dropping. Next, go to every sink and toilet in the house and turn the water valves off. Flush each toilet twice to get rid of the bowl and tank water. If you don't know where the valves are, maybe ask a family member or friend for help. For each faucet in the sinks, they usually have nuts and bolts to hold the faucet in place. Remove all the nuts and take them with you. Again, ask for help if needed. Also, find the main water valve to the house and turn it off. If you know where the breaker box is, turn off every switch including the main one before you leave. If you live in an apartment or condo, you may not be able to turn off the main water and electricity but you can still do the other things. Just some petty thoughts I have. 😎👍🏻

My favorite was: dividing out the wine cellar-as he got 1/2 of it. The divorce decree didn't specify which wine he got... So I left him all the wine he had made (which sucked) and took all the good wine that we had bought; including a case of Opus 1.

My ex broke up with me two weeks before our first Valentine’s Day (and my first Valentine’s Day in a relationship) by accusing me of cheating on him with my best friend. In the next sentence he said he had met someone whom he though „fit better“ into his life (whatever that means). Almost a year later and my fiend and I got together after he confessed to me. Still going strong after 12 years ❤️❤️
Few years ago my ex messages me out of the blue wanting to get back together for a „fun time“. I strung him along until the ever so popular „wish I were there in bed with you“ sentence came. My reply: there is not enough room because „friend from back then“ and our young son were in bed with me (both asleep). Never heard from him again since 🤣🤣

One of my most petty things is when I worked as a cashier/Service Desk, I would be the one that loved to get change. I mean, if an old lady or old gentleman would open their coin purse and tip it out, I would take the time and take the smallest stuff first (pennies) and finish at quarters. I hated asking for a manager to get me change as I had a poor experience with a manager who would NEVER get me change after 4pm (we closed at 9pm).
However, if you were to come in and pay something with a coffee can full of change, dump it out and then stand back and smile at me/us to count it all up to pay for a $50 or so total and then paying with paper money or debit after that's all counted up....that's where I draw the line.
We had one couple that did that, and it wasn't even mostly quarters or the rare .50 pieces, but full on pennies, nickels and dimes. It was a middle aged couple that would do it and while I don't believe they timed it, they always came at the busiest time, 3-4pm. It would take forever for us to count it and we'd have to call up other cashiers to handle the line and/or to help with the counting.
After seeing them do this 5 times, I finally had enough. (Seriously though, where did they keep getting all that change?) So when I saw them come in, with the coffee can, I braced myself, and let my MOD know that they were in the store. (they were getting to be infamous amongst those that worked there) I told him that I was going to page for assistance at the register, but I wanted at least one register to stay open so customers could keep getting checked out, because I was going to be busy.
    And busy I was.
When they came up to buy their $50ish purchases they plunked the coffee can on the Service Desk counter and tipped it out, waiting for me to count it.
I did, I counted it, I even "messed up" and had to count it again, and then another time because they "tried to help" and knocked over some of the columns of coins so they all mixed in again. They tried to get me to take the quarters first after the third count because I "messed up" again, I told them that it was alright, I needed the pennies anyway.
They stood there, for over a half hour....
They wanted to talk to my manager as I was counting, I called up the same one and they complained that I was taking too long to count the change. The MOD looked down at the money and then back at them. "That's a lot of change, it's going to take her a while. Do you just want to pay with debit/credit?"
They said no, but then they said "You could help her count it, make it go faster!"
My MOD shook his head and said. "Actually, with this amount of change and how she's got it divived up, I'd rather not mess with her counting, then we'd have to start all over again. Best to not have two people back here handling your money in case something gets miscounted." He then looked behind them, saw the line was getting longer, despite the extra cashier and went to open another register to get rid of the line.
I would like to say that they stopped bringing in change after that, but they didn't. They did however, keep the change separated in the coffee can in little sandwich baggies so they weren't all mixed and only paid for the entirety of the purchase with change if it was under $10, and if it was over, they paid with exact change and whipped out their paper money or card.
If you're going to be an @$$hat and waste my time with a coffee can of change, I'm going to waste yours by counting that coffee can of change...repeatedly.

Okay, I don't know if this would be considered petty, but about 3 years ago I had finally realized how toxic and abusive my home life was and realized that I HAD to get out of there! I started asking around for advice on how to contact Women's Help, when a coworker whom I considered like a "work-mom" invited me to stay with them until school started (I'm a University student), so that Sunday, I officially ran away (although depending on who you ask, it wasn't "running away" since I was already over 25yo, but I DID literally RUN out the door) and moved in with my coworker. The first few months were okay, I finally felt 100% SAFE for the First Time in my entire LIFE... until she started showing her true colors... Covid hit, our schedules clashed, we ended up communicating by writing notes, she and her guy started bad mouthing our coworkers, she judged my best friend for being a divorced single mother living with a boyfriend (not the father) (which honestly, I didn't find One Single Picture of a wedding between her and her guy, so did she REALLY have room to talk?), she didn't like that I stayed in my room so much (um, hello? I had JUST gotten out of a manipulative emotional/mental/verbal/Spiritual/financial abusive home where my ONLY safe haven was my room... its gonna take more than a few months to undo that type of self-preservation actions)... I did EVERYTHING I could to try and please her because I was honestly SO thankful to her for getting me out of there, for introducing me to her church, and for being there for me when I was completely desperate... oh, how wrong I was... I wound up getting my hair cut and colored (mind you, I'm an art major, and I made SURE with her that she would be okay with what I wanted to do) by my sister who is a licensed cosmetologist... it was a hidden rainbow (again, art major, NOT LGBT or even Noah's promise... I just love color and originality... I had honestly fell in love with the style YEARS before but was only just then gaining the courage to go for it), when I got home, I showed her and she said it was pretty... later that week she told me that I looked like a child, and then a few weeks after that, she wrote me a note stating that people had been coming up to HER and asking HER if I was gay (I'm not) so instead of just directing them to ME or stating that I was going to school for art, she told ME that she can't support a gay life style, that my sister did it on purpose, and that I had a week to Get Out! She didn't care where I went, or even if I was sleeping in my car, I just had to be out!... we worked at the same store, so it became quick knowledge that I was desperately looking for somewhere else to stay AGAIN and that I was being kicked out (which honestly, she insulted my sister, I wouldn't want to stay there after that anyway... I only stayed that long because I didn't want to seem ungrateful). Thankfully another coworker had a place to stay, so my last day there... I cleaned every inch I could, I did the dishes, I cleaned the kitchen, the bathroom, the room I used, the laundry, the hall, the vacuum itself (including the brushes and 3 filters) and left one final note... thanking her for INVITING ME into her home when ALL I was looking for was a way to contact Woman's Help, for CHOOSING to invite me to her family's Thanksgiving AND Christmas celebrations, for GIVING ME a place to stay, for REFUSING when I Offered to PAY rent, for PRAYING about this before just taking me in and for the CHRISTIAN EXAMPLE she decided to show both me AND my best friend (she judged her so hard)... yeah, no. If I hadn't already been a Christian and found a good God-fearing church on my own BEFORE moving in with her, she would have pushed me AWAY from the Faith, and honestly thinking about it now... she used me as a sympathy card to make herself look better (PS self-glorifiaction in the name of Christ is NOT Christian at ALL)... I guess she didn't like the fact that the relief of finally being free caused me to be super sick when I first got there... or that I was HIGHLY allergic to pollen so that I would cough to the point of laryngitis... or that I was FINALLY allowing myself to express myself after being oppressed for the last 25 years to the point I was just then learning how to be a grown up... or that I had no idea how to deal with this trauma... or that a self-defense mindset made me stay quiet at times/hold my tongue/stay in my room to not get in their way... nope, she didn't like that one bit... guys, this wasn't something I could control... I had just ran away, just started a new therapist, just started looking for scholarships for school, was finally able to drive again (I had to wait 6mo because I'd had a seizure), was dealing with harassing texts and calls from my parents, my sister and even my grandmother a bit... I was still trying to comprehend that everything i ever thought about my so-called "family" was a bold face lie, that I was being abused (not physically) my entire life, that my own mother didn't believe me, then moving into a new house basically with strangers and on top of it all, COVID... I was going through a LOT at the time, so I'm sorry if I didn't fit your child-poor-orphan model you seemed to think I was... I was already an ADULT, I didn't NEED you to "take care" of me. I just needed a roof over my head. So yes, I wrote her a thank you note... reminding her that it was HER idea, I NEVER asked to stay there, She OFFERED, and that God has His hand on my life and I will be JUST Fine on my own!
It has now been 3 years... we don't speak.

When I was 12, my whole family came down for Christmas. This was during the time when the XBOX 360 was the hot shit. Anyways, 2 of my older cousins(Males) were supposed to help with the clean up after the celebration but ignored their duties to play the game. I think it took me 2hrs to clean everything, and that was with my mom and sister's help.
So I was pissed and wanted to play the game to relax. But my cousins just wouldn't let me play it, they were honestly being dicks to me (I'm a girl by the way). So when they went outside to play for a bit, I went behind the TV, unplugged the HDMI connections for both consoles, and hid them in my room.
When they all came back they were confused why neither console would work, the dummies never checked to see if they were even plugged up.
And my extended family was planning to stay 3-4 more days with us after Christmas. That whole time they were forced to help clean up the house meanwhile I watched them frantically try to find out why the consoles weren't working.
On their last night there, when everyone went to sleep, I went downstairs, plugged up the XBOX 360; and spent a good chunk of my night playing on it. When my cousins came down early that morning to see me playing it, they ofcourse asked me how did I get it to work.
I made up some BS about how I turned off the whole TV system and turned it back on which rebutted the consoles. Let me remind you, not once did my cousins ever try to check to see if the consoles were plugged up; so yeah they believed me.
But since it was their last day they didn't have any time to play the game so they just left believing that I was some type of tech genius. I'm 21 now and still remember this act of pettiness.

I have a story about my grandfather, and a trolley/street car. In old Sioux City, IA, they had trolley tracks (much like a railroad crossing but no guards and about as dangerous). Lots of people were in a bad habit about stopping their cars on the tracks, despite lots of signs telling them not to, making things dangerous for everyone. Grandpa found an old trolley bell on the tracks one day and kept it. He was a pretty handy man, so he installed the bell inside the car down where his feet were, so he could ring the bell with his feet. He would wait to be behind someone sitting parked on the tracks, and then suddenly DING DING DING he'd be ringing that bell just like a trolley was coming. Whoever was in front of him would fly into a panic, flinging their arms about and screaming, looking for the trolley! Another day DING DING DING he'd get another stopped on the tracks, and this carried on until there weren't any trolleys. I'd like to think, however, that he singlehandedly helped reduce accidents by making people poop their pants there at the trolley crossing, ringing his bell.

My petty story. I was engaged at 19 to my first “love” and as time when on her became more and more controlling. My parents could tell how stressed he was making me. So to put some distance between us my parents booked a nice beach vacation and everyone was having a great time. When we were driving back from the beach my parent got a call that there was some suspicious activity on their credit card. Turns out my fiancé had stolen my parents card and was using it to buy tobacco dip, gas and porn. I also received a call from my best friend (unfortunately I was going to miss her birthday but we had big plans for when I got back just us 3 good friends for her birthday) that my fiancé was at her birthday party with another girl (whom he eventually married). My parents and I confronted him and he confessed to stealing the card and cheating on me pretty much the entire time especially with my best friend. (Side note) at this time in my life I was getting about 50 telemarketing calls a day. So after the big confession he was kicked out of the house. That night all the phones were left off the hook because he wouldn’t leave us alone trying to contact me and he sat outside our house for 6 hours trying to see me. The next day I had had enough and decided I needed to change my phone number. On the way to the phone store I got a call from a telemarketer. I told them it wasn’t a good time and they asked if there was another number I could be reached and if they could distribute the number to their sister companies. COMPANIES!!!!! I told them of course and gave them my ex fiancés phone number and 5 minutes later my family and I had new numbers and the home line was no longer in service.

A co worker told me about his petty story about when he worked at chick fil a. While working his uniform pants ended up getting holes in them. So he asked for a replacement pair. They refused to give him a pair and told him to get patches. So when he quit and had to return his uniforms he removed the patches he bought.

The only petty thing I ever did was when I moved out of my ex's house (he was really abusive), we lived with his parents and he was into some kinky shit so we kept all of our toys in one of those popcorn tins you get around christmas time. When I left I put that tin right in the middle of his closet and didn't look back. Less than a week later he called me screaming because he had to explain to his own mother why he had a huge popcorn tin full of sex toys in his closet, and when I say kinky I mean he had some harness's, straps, different types of lube, vibrators, straps of all kinds, and best of all was the floggers that he had in there. I guess his mom went into the room we were sleeping in (which used to be her sewing room) looking for something she left in his closet when she moved her sewing stuff out and saw the tin (she would use them for sewing stuff) and opened it, I'm sure she nearly had a heart attack seeing all this crap in a popcorn tin but I have no regrets.

My petty story: I had a “friend” in 9th grade who was considered popular she shit talked me for absolutely no reason when I covered for her getting in trouble gave her homework answers and gave her my phone Bc she couldn’t but she kept trash talking me and eventually came into the locker room I was changing in and punched me for no reason i logged onto her social media(her biggest achievement and main concern) then I removed all of her followers and changed her social media passwords then logged into her snap and sent her Bf all the messages and nudes she had sent to all
If his friends and gave him all her passwords. She lost all her followers and was furious and she lost her Bf then I left spoiled eggs under her bed (she never cleans her room) on top of that her Bf blasted her nudes for cheating moral of the story pick on someone who was nice and did good for you karma will get you back(who’s to say I’m not karma;)

A frenemy SERIOUSLY stepped over the line with me and I could tell she was waiting for me to react. I refused to give her the satisfaction of doing so and pretended to not notice or care. I DID notice and DID care, of course because there is only so much I'll take before it's "go time". Since she thought we were still "friends" I made her favorite fudgy chunk cookies ...with chocolate laxative mixed in. I also served coffee just to help the process along. I wasn't worried she'd share them if she left with them as she lived alone and was single with no kids. I suggested a "girls night" and popped in a long movie for us to watch (3-ish hours) so I could hopefully watch the real show begin. OMG...watching her as she realized what was about to happen...the look of panic and horror. Watching her bolt out my door with the sudden "I have a migraine coming on" excuse. PRICELESS! She had something coming on alright but it wasn't a migraine, lol. I ended our friendship shortly after but was smart enough to not admit to doing what I did.

I'm asian, so I live with my parents along with my younger brothers. I'm the most tech savvy in the family and pretty much controlled the internet and the smart phones in the house. So during the pandemic, my brother started online classes from home and at one point the teachers started complaining to my parents that he's not doing his homework and been missing the morning classes. My mum clearly wasn't happy about this and told me to hold onto his phone and Nintendo switch after 9/10 pm. When I went to take away the switch, he called me a bitch for doing so. Mind you, in an asian household this is crossing the line big time considering I'm 10 years older than him.
So being the very petty sister of the year, I took out my phone which had the parental control over my brother's phone. I disabled all his gaming and social media accounts on his phones, blocked the internet connections to his computer, and only allow online classes and online quizzes. I did this to him, and told on him to my parents that he called me a bitch. He got scolded badly and his access was cut off for the rest of the year.
He learned not to mess with me anymore after that

Natural consequences is my favorite tool of discipline as a parent. Mind you, I’m the safe and soft place for my son as he isn’t even thirteen yet, so natural consequences aren’t horrendous for him yet, just as your brother will recover from his natural consequences. And good on you for not taking that abuse! 🙌🏻

The day my husband and I were splitting up was settlement day on our house. I had two friends helping me load my stuff on a moving truck. He still had a ton of stuff throughout the house and the buyer wanted the house empty before signing. My husband decided to work that day and said get your friends to move my stuff. He said "do it or don't do it. If the house doesn't sell, I will be ok, you won't". So we removed all his belongings to make the buyer happy, then we put them on the curb with a FREE sign. It was a busy road, so there were lots of lookey loos taking his shit!! #petty #BeCarefulWhatYouAskFor I always wonder how much of shit was left by the time settlement was over...............

Kind of along these lines, I rented a house after my divorce was final. The house had sold to a new landlord while it was listed for rent and changed hands a couple of weeks before I leased it. The old owner had left so much crap in the outside utility/laundry/storage and the new owner hadn’t been able to get him to move any of it. I really needed that space for my washer and dryer, and some outdoor play equipment for my son. I tried appealing to the old owner to come get his stuff to no avail. So one day, I parked my car on the street, set up a poster in the driveway that said FREE STUFF with an arrow pointing down the driveway to the storage, and sat in my air conditioned living room while I watched people trickling in and traipsing back and forth, loading sawhorses, skis, canoe paddles, lumber, decor items, and all kinds of junk into their car trunks and truck beds before taking off. It seriously took less than half the day for that crap to go. MONTHS later, the jackass called me to say he needed access to HIS storage, and I told him, “I thought you cleared that out months ago! It’s all been gone since about a week after the last time I spoke with you!”

I brought brownies to school for my friends one day for Christmas cause we wanted to celebrate together, my enemy told a teacher who confiscated said brownies. Petty story: when I left my ex-girlfriend/fiancé back in 2011, she wanted me to keep the electricity on for her and her friends. I had moved out by that point, kept getting inundated with harassment phone calls, and had had enough. I told her flat out, “You have less than 48 hours to change it over. I’m calling them tomorrow to have it turned off.” Boy, was she pissed when I backed that up. She didn’t believe me, but I was serious. A couple months down the line I got a check for the initial deposit mailed to me at my new address, and I spent that money with zero regret.

I was working for a major retail grocery store up until December 23rd when they fired me. I had missed a few days of work before coming down with the stomach flu. I was out for several more days and offered a doctors note which they refused because it was their policy not to accept them.
While I was sick I was told by my boss that the team was struggling and needed me. My job was to collect online grocery orders and was told by my doctor not to report to work. Also while I was sick I heard from a job I applied for and they offered me a position but I had to do a background check first.
I returned to work the 22nd and submitted my notice, they fired me the next day on the day before Christmas Eve.
Since I was fired and couldn’t start the new job right away I put in for unemployment and was approved. I spent the following two weeks with my family and relaxing before starting my new job this past Monday. Much happier now :)

Hey Charlotte. Big fan of your videos, here is my Petty story, for your entertainment. :)
2015. So I had been living with my ex for a little over a year and our relationship had turned from best friends sharing every moment together, to him being a sloppy, bratty douchbag and me bassicly being his mom/cleaning lady. He would constantly guilt trip me and say that I was no fun anymore and only thought about cleaning, paying bills and finishing school. I was 19 at the time. So one day he asks me if I would be okay with him having an occasional one night stand (should have been my moment to get out, but I was too afraid of loosing the person I thought I loved). I of course said no and he said he would accept that. So a few weeks later he didn't come home at 10 pm like he said he would, and at 2 am, after several unanswered phone calls, I went over to the place I knew him to be. I knocked on the door and one of our mutural friends opened up. I asked where he was and they answered by pointing at the bedroom door. I went over there to find him sleeping with another one of our frinds laying with her head on his chest. Neadless to say, I was pissed. I slapped his chest, he screammed awake and I yelled at them both before storming off. A week later I'm packing up his things, mostly into garbage bags, because he was trash. I was going through his dirty laundry and found that one of my two cats had pooped there. I looked at it for a moment, then with an evil smirk I just packed everything in the bag. During the last few months of our relationship, that same cat had a few times peed on his side of the bed. I gave my cat extra love from that day on. When ever I think about him now, I can't help but smile when I imagine him finding the turd. Or maybe even it being the girl, as he actually moved in with her. In my opinion, shitty people deserve to be sent a pile of crap. :D

My boss fired me mid day and expected me to finish my shift. She fired me after a person threatened me on the phone not once but three times. She also asked me to leave all the notes I have taken for the next person she has coming in to replace me. Instead of leaving the notes I shredded all of them and I’m clear at her entire browsing history from the computer because she forgets things very easily. She had not cleared her history from my computer for months. I completely reset her computer so that all the files were gone. I was already paid the day before so I had nothing to lose. She’s hated the smell of raspberries and she complained about the perfume I used to wear so I emptied the bottle of perfume all over the office and in her favorite chair as well. And I threw her key in the dumpster

Wow, that was a stupid thing for your boss to do. Once you're fired, you are no longer working for that company. Forcing someone to work for a company for which they no longer work... well, there's a reason most companies have someone watch over you once you're fired while you collect your things and leave - so you don't cause any trouble, cause a scene, or steal anything. Serves your boss right!

Hi Charlotte! I have a petty story for you. My grandpa had made some sexist and stupid comment that upset me so I took my petty revenge which I have dubbed, 'The Petty Potato Plan', in which I (knowing he dislikes baked potatoes) requested that we have baked potatoes with an evil smile on my face. He had a quesadilla the first time, thwarting me, but then I asked for a repeat of the potatoes and specifically made sure that we had no tortillas and cheese that night. And I ate my potato in glee, watching and cackling in my head. I thought you would like the story, anyway loved the video.

Remembered my own petty story. After one year of dating exclusively, hot boyfriend broke up with me end of December. Since we were in the same occupation group, we were civil and kept in touch. Valentine's Day he called, sharing that he had a dilemma that night. Current girlfriend had a game scheduled at 7pm and also, made date with another girl at 9pm. I suggested that he keep both dates, explain to his girlfriend why he had to leave early and the other why their date was later. Because women love men who are honest. Well, he did it, I know because he called me to share both gals dumped him on Valentine's Day.

Petty story (inspired by a friend who did the same, and I just loved it): my sister dated a complete asshole (over controling), and when she left him, she came to my appartement for 2 weeks to rest a bit. She took some stuffs with her, including HIS Game of Thrones books (it was a mistake). Before she returned them to Mr Insecure, I kind of "fixed" the books: I knew he was a huge fan, and didn't want to watch the serie before the books, while I watched the entire serie. So I wrote a page, with the same writing police than the book, with all the spoilers I could remember (wich was a lot). Then I ripped the page 3 of the book and sticked the spoiler paper instead, and returned the books to its owner. Two weeks later, one of his friends that we have in common told me that he was disgusted and threw the books away. An angry woman always pays her debts, bitch.
